Wrapping a large, heavy rope around his left arm and effortlessly picking up the "Hellhound" Malinois in his right, Lieutenant Junior Grade Isaac Saifer crouched into a powerful squat on the helm of the Karve longship. Looking over his shoulder, the young Marine officer was given a comforting look of readiness from the four other Marines that would soon be joining him and Thor. Caroline Amyot was ready at all times; as an unarmed boxing specialist, her tools and equipment were minimal at most. The two lower ranking Marines, Stefan and Akira, had already stashed their rifles and strapped their standard issued cutlasses around their waists; the covert nature of the operation was not suited for use of firearms. The final Marine, Warrant Officer (like Caroline) Herman, was a burly man and had an equally imposing war axe prepared for the assault.
Assured that the secondary party would follow directly behind in quick order, Isaac pushed off with his extremely powerful legs, landing gently on the railings of the galleon of the Red Sparrows. A quick scan of the upper deck sent an immediate sense of relief through the infiltrating Marine's body; there was not a soul in sight. Setting Thor down, Isaac quickly worked to bind the rope to the railing in a strong clove knot. Tossing the rope below him, Caroline gave it a strong tug before quietly announcing "Clear," and began making her own ascent.
Satisfied that the knot would hold, Isaac turned his attention to his canine partner who, too, was hard at work. Ears perked to catch any sound that may arise, Thor had his deep brown eyes closed. All of his energy and focused was being directed to his nostrils; his olfactory systems hard at work in deciphering the hundreds of new scents that were bombarding his brain at the moment. Moving slowly and pacing the full length of the upper deck, Thor either pushed the many of the smells he was receiving out of his mind all together or stored them away for future use and reference. His first and primary goal was ensuring that the entirety of the upper deck was free of any person. And with Isaac not far behind completing a secondary sweep, the two Marines worked in quick tandem; their many years of working side by side ensuring that no movement was wasted.
Satisfied that there was no living soul on the upper deck of the massive galleon, Isaac flashed an "ok" sign to Caroline and the other three Marines that had just climbed over the railings of the Red Sparrow's vessel. Repeating the hand gesture to Isaac back, the four Marines quickly moved behind crates and cannon's and took their position as the reactionary support team. With all Marine's in position, Thor led the way down the stairs of the galleon; nose still hard pressed to the sea stained wooden planks.
Recalling the different smells that he had ignored previously, the sandy brown canine quickly separated the distinct smells he was taking in; his two nostrils moving independently to parse the aromas as quickly as he could. As the tandem team reached the bottom of the staircase, they were greeted with a hallway made up of many different doorways that presumably led to bedrooms for the crewmembers and another staircase that led to the bottommost deck. The scent the detection canine was focused on following was the most faint one; it spoke to that of a massive herd of of people moving in close concert, each individual person he was able to make out in this group smelled unkempt and un-groomed, and appeared to have been moved as one whole group rather than individually moving down the stairs. This path was the one that most likely led to their primary target; the many slaves that had been moved from Bupae Island to be sold here on Sabaody.
Bounding down the third level staircase, Thor's work was done and he could go no furthers; a heavy closed door was an obstacle he was unable to cross on his own. Taking his turn at the front, Isaac made use of his human advantages that made the duo such an effective combination. Turning the handle and slowly inching the door open, Isaac's one remaining working eye took in the room on the other side. A short hallway quickly opened up into a massive room that was clearly converted from a storage room and into a prison. Two Red Sparrow guards were sitting around a table and leisurely playing a game of cards, their backs to the door Isaac was now observing them from. In front of the criminal group was the Marine's target; roughly seventy five Bupae citizens shackled together by hand and foot, sitting in misery at their awaited fate.
Due to the open nature of the room along with the many candles lining the walls, Isaac was certain that he could see every single person in the room and would not be caught off guard by any person that might have been hiding. Slowly pushing the door open enough to squeeze his six foot once inch frame through, Isaac prepared himself for his quick assault; once he started, there would be a slight notification of the incoming attack that could allow a person of quick reactions to respond to. The two guards had yet to move from their position at the table and had not seemed to have heard the infiltrating force enter. Putting on a quick spurt of Soru, Isaac dashed towards the two Red Sparrows; his body crashing into the air around him and forming his now trademark blue electrical hue around his body. Hearing what appeared to be a crackle of lightning in the room, the two men turned to face the doorway and were surprised to only see a Malinois standing in the doorway.
However, before they could speak or make any movement, both men dropped to the ground in a heap of convulsions and confusion as a single Marine stood over them. In the same instant that the Red Sparrows turned towards the doorway, Isaac had disappeared into a blur and appeared in front of both men. Placing a hand on both men's heads, Isaac discharged the electrical energy from his arms and into the two guards. Using his body as a makeshift taser (albeit several degrees more powerful), Isaac sent the men into a fit of convulsion as the energy overrode their neurological and physiological systems and dropping them from their seated positions in an unconscious state.
The group of would be slaves too seemed shocked and confused at the sight of a Marine appearing in the lower decks of their prison. Pressing his index finger to his lips, Isaac made it clear that now was not the time for explanations or conversation. Lifting the set of keys from one of the guards belt, Isaac unlocked the chains and cuffs from one of the slaves before handing him the keys. "Quickly, free everyone else. And stay quiet. We need to move fast." Pulling out his red Den Den Mushi, Isaac whispered into the tiny creature. "How are we looking up there Caroline?" Almost instantly, the strange little communication creature bounced up and down in the Marine's hands. "Still clear, not a single stir up here. You ready?"
"Affirmative, sending the package up now." With all slaves freed from their shackles, Isaac quickly organized them in two rows behind Thor; the last thing he wanted was the mass group to quickly rampage at the first hope of freedom. Having received their instructions of what was to come, Thor led the mass exodus back up to the uppermost deck and right into the waiting arms of Caroline, Stefan, Akira, and Herman. Isaac took up the rearguard, ensuring that no other Red Sparrow was awoken and interrupted their silent escape. As the final person was lowered into the waiting Karve below, the low profile long ship of Marines quickly darted away from the unsuspecting galleon and back towards the mainland of Sabaody Archipelago.Marine Base

"Good job, Saifer. I had my doubts but this is more than even I could have hoped for. Don't get too settled, some of the rescued prisoners had some very useful information as they were being debriefed. We know where James Hideki will be tomorrow. We have work to do.{OC Colors}Isaac Saifer - #007299
