The Stetson on Rakka’s head was held in place as he followed the two more experienced members of the squad down the snow covered stairs. His mouth was completely zipped shut as they neared the vessel in question and remained shut as Jonah quickly made a sign for the group to spread out and board the boat.
The ship itself was dusted with a light snow, given it had stopped snowing over the group and their patrol route fairly early and the fact there were not apparent footsteps, it looks like it had not been stepped on for a while. This could just be a ghost ship adrift in the northern currents of the East Blue… Or a trap.
“Rakka, you keep up top. Nora, you and Daniel head below deck. I will check these rooms.” Jonah whispered once everyone was in position. This was going to be a tactical sweep, clearing the ship to make sure there was no funny business. Once he quickly confirmed everyone understood his plan he gave a quick nod and hopped from the stairway to the deck.
Rakka was quick to follow, he was a close combat specialise but needed some open space to make full use of his powers. Jonah had seemed to grasp that fairly quickly. The recruit landed on the deck with a quick roll in the snow and kept a crouched position as he surveyed what was going on from this lower and closer vantage point.
‘My first potential fight!’ The young marine thought, shifting his position to be ready to act. This was something he had prepared for his entire life. Trained for since before he even ate his devil fruit. He was finally going to make the world a better place with his own hands. The excitement was plastered all over his face.
The sniper had stayed up on the stairs, looking down with his rifle to support from where he could. This being his best position and with the amount of time he had spent with Jonah this was the best place Crendor could be.
