Reynard seemed content to like Rakka take the lead. How considerate of him. As Rakka took the lay of the land as it were, Rosie watched him. From what he’d announced, she just knew that there was going to be a mess… but it also meant that she ought to watch her footing. He ran around her much like Reynard had in his first bout. Trying to go behind her? No… just setting up the field. She wondered how Reynard would adapt. Once he got up to some rather staggering speeds, Rosie shifted her stance slightly to brace herself.
Sure enough, Rakka went for her, actually rather directly. Perhaps aiming to knock her over? She couldn’t dodge him at those speeds, but she didn’t really need to either. Honestly, at the speed he was going, she would be shocked if he didn’t hurt his arm. Tensing her muscles in a familiar way, Rosie angled her gauntlets toward the spot that Rakka would be when he collided with her.
“Tekkai.”
His arm slammed against her torso hard, but didn’t push her back. She remained firmly planted, barely having felt anything. She released the Tekkai quickly, her body softening once more. The fact that Tekkai immobilized her for a brief period was annoying… and something that she had to work on. It allowed for too many vulnerabilities. Well, at least she’d taken that into consideration before she’d used it. Her gauntlets were pointed right at Rakka.
“Nadelkissen.”
Three rubber bullets shot out of her gauntlet at Rakka. They would most certainly hurt at this range, but at least they weren’t the heavy metal needles that she normally used. She didn’t aim to kill the two boys. Merely give them a hefty set of bumps and bruises. They still needed to be ready in case of Revolutionary attack. It wouldn’t do if they were seriously injured because of a training session gone wrong.
