Hakon #1
Young man from the look of his face in his early twenties blocked Hakon´s way in one of the many side alleys in the port city on Toroa Island. He was dressed as a noble man, with a long and slander blade on his waist.
“Depends on who is asking.”
He smiled as he could already predict how will things turn out. He was in this line of business too long and saw too many young men as this one to not know.
“My name is Pierre Regis and I am traveling swordsman from the Regis school of Swordsmanship.”
Hakon tried his best to control himself, but sill chuckled a little bit. This guy was so uptight and serious that it was funny. But Pierre didn´t let Hakon´s lack of manners to disturb his speech and continued.
“I heard your name quite often in this waters. Apparently, you are quite good swordsman yourself, so, let´s test our skills against each other as a true gentlemen.”
Hakon looked around. As the day was slowly coming to it´s end and the sun was setting down, there were only few people in the streets and no one in the valley the two of them were standing, so no troublesome witnesses who would yell at him afterwards.
“Yeah why not.”
He smiled and draw his monstrous blade from the holder on his backs.
“But I have to warn you kid, it´s some time since my last duel, so I am little rusty.”
Pierre slightly smiled as he drew his own blade. Elegant rapier with highly decorated guard.
“If you think I will go lightly on you because of that, you are mistaken. En garde!”
As the young swordsman assumed his stance, Hakon stepped forward, spinning his body around it´s own axis, swinging his monstrous blade against his enemy.
“First Blade: Grass Cutting Slash!”
Seeing such unorthodox technique Regis didn´t know how to respond. He panicked and tried to block the incoming Night Blade, but his slim blade was no match for the monstrosity in Hakon´s hands. As the two swords clashed, Pierre´s blade broke and flew away, stabbing Hakon´s shoulder in the process. But the giant didn´t even noticed that. Instead, he turned one more time, twisting his blade in the last possible second so he hit the young swordsman´s body with it´s flat side, sending him flying against the nearest wall.
As the unconscious swordsman fell down to the ground, Hakon stopped his technique with a silent sight.
“What I meant by that was that I have problems to hold back.”
He said and tried to put his blade back on his back, but his shoulder loudly protested.
“What the...”
As he looked there, he noticed for the first time deep, almost 40cm of steel sticking out from his shoulder.
“Oh you must be kidding me”
He sighed.
“And where exactly am I supposed find doctor in this hour?”
