Idoc felt pursed his lips as he watched his spear succeed in penetrating the Marine Ensign, Rosie just barely managing to divert it from its original aim of slicing her spinal column. It wasn’t the crippling blow he had wanted out of the cast, but it was nonetheless a debilitating blow that should give Demean a small chance if he played his cards right. The spearman wanted to capitalize on the opening to remove the dangerous Marine from the battlefield, but sadly the machine madman that had engaged him wasn’t making things terribly easy.
As Rosie and Deman traded justifications and accusations, Idoc was already rushing forward to engage Kikori once more, a look of quiet confidence adorning his face. Unfortunately for the spearman, he was just a tad too slow and failed to reach his foe in time to prevent the robot from ridding himself of it’s handicap. In a flash, the chainsaw wielder disconnected the long piece of metal, reverting to it’s normal arm as he charged at Idoc wildly, waving the cast off metal in a frankly insulting mimicry of a spearman’s stance.
Scoffing under his breath, Idoc slid to a stop, anchoring his center of gravity and swinging his small spear in a half circle, directly at his foe’s weapon. The strength behind the blow was simply too much for the distended chainsaw, and the impromptu weapon was simply cut in half by the fluid counter, the brittle metal giving way. He flicked the short spear through a small circular spin, returning it to it’s position near his hip.
“My name is unnecessary Kikori.” He said quietly, before widening his eyes slightly as the robot’s leg flashed up in a lightning-fast grab, anchoring itself around his spear and jerking it out of his grasp. However, as fast as Kikori’s admittedly solid counter was, Idoc was just as fast, if not faster, than the automaton. His strong fingers chased after the grasping limb, attempting to rest lightly on it’s cool surface. If he was successful, a similar process would occur, similar to what happened to the robot’s arm earlier.
Irregardless of the gambit's success, Idoc would push off the planks at his feet, launching himself backward and attempting to gain some distance from the berserking robot. All the while, his eyes moved ceaslessly across Kikori's form. Cataloging. Examining. Probing for weaknesses.
