Apparently, before his prize, Mars was to be impeded. A pair of marines, not too different from the ones he had fought before jumped before him. Both of their swords were raised and at the ready, but Mars was ready. His blood already boiled for the taste of marine blood on his blade. Victory and all, with marine saber in one hand and Shade's katana in the other he laid them over each other catching both attacking weapons in their divide funneling the pair together. "Out of the way smallfries, unlike last night I'm not to be trifled with."
In actuality the paired weight of the two attacks was odd to hold given his unfamiliarity with the weapons he was fighting with. The strength of the katana was not matched by the saber and likewise, the saber's swiftness and dexterity did not complement well with the katana's lack of it. In the end neither was balanced how he liked a sword to be in the first place which made it awkward. This was some quick training he could not afford to miss. With the saber he swiped away the pair of blades which still tried to obstruct his final goal.
Mars was having none of it, whipping forward the saber he lunged towards the marine on his left. In the end this one was closer to his preferred style of weapon, though the balance was off. A few swift attacks quickly formed a flurry as he pressed the first marine backwards sending him stumbling with his balance off. With the first marine momentarily disabled Mars returned with a fury upon the second. Leading with the katana he used its weight to brush aside the lighter saber of the second marine. "Ora ora ora!" He bent his will upon the other with a rain of quick slashes and lunges with the saber.
The second slightly better held up longer and Mars was quickly aware of the first marine having returned. Reversing his grip on the katana Mars spun about, with a clang he blocked both incoming attacks with a respective weapon. Applying strength to both weapons he swept them outwards knocking away the pair of marines. Then pulling both swords in he swung them across once more with force to create air slashes. "Re-" "Oi oi oi."
Both attacks were stopped simultaneously as a kick came in to his back sending Mars staggering forward. "Can't have you troublemakers messing with my soldiers like that." Mars whirled about, before him stood the Polar Bear, the burly, chest-out man wielding his pair of brass knuckles in the cold. "So you've come to me. All the better then!" Mars said greedily, stepping forward swung both swords out horizontally in the same direction. The marine light on his feet as always stepped back out of the range of his attack.
Returning back in he punched forward with an already wound up fist. Quickly Mars overlaid his weapons with each other catching the knuckle head on. The force of the hit rattled through his body and he slid backwards upon the paved ground. Taking the chance to break space he kicked backwards alongside that then swinging down with the katana sent the man a return attack. "Rend!" For a moment that was all, "And another!" he followed up the attack with a second. He knew the potential of this man, he could not let up now.
"Roar" his voice came back in a deep rumble. As he took up a stance and then slammed the two brass knuckles into each other. They crashed together and Mars thought for a moment he could see something. Like a bubble it spread outwards, both of his air slashes dissipated on contact with whatever it was and suddenly a shockwave struck Mars' own body. His ears rung and for he began to crumple. The suave man's body shook with vibration as he gritted his teeth and tried to bear through.
The feeling passed but he felt nauseated, his footing felt awkward, he felt weak. Bringing one hand to his still ringing ears he murmured to himself "What the hell was that ...."
