“That’s the spirit kid!” The goateed man said as he grabbed the hand that was offered to him and shook it with a vigour that would make most young men jealous. The fact that the young man was willing to join Navi and Lilly on a single adventure was a good start, he showed potential, he was loud, and he was a showman. Something Navi liked about him. “Aye. An adventure which we are just about to embark on… we need to get in the marine cells… There we can break out and go treasure hunting in the cave below the castle.” He said with a giant grin, his tight grip still shaking the young Adrian Idol’s hand.
“Yeah, now we are story tellers, everything we do is to tell a great story, even fighting is a tale to tell. I think an exchange of fists can tell more stories than words ever could. Tell me kid, what story did you get when I clocked you?” Navi asked hoping that Adrian could understand what he was talking about, and if he could not this might help the kid to stick around and learn more about being a battling bard, a storyteller.
Then Destiny called. Well Knocked…. Well not really knocked more barged its foot through the door and then dragged 20 marines into the dry dock with each one pointing a rifle at the group of people standing on or around the ship. “EVERYBODY HANDS UP!” One of them shouted into the indoor dry-dock, making an echo that reverberated and bounced around the room for a few seconds. “Captain, the room is clear.”
As the marine gave, the all clear the captain walked in, high, mighty and with his head held high. The captain had heard that at least one of them was a pirate, but he did not know which. “You are all under arrest under the suspicion of Piracy, causing a public disturbance, being drunken and disorderly in public and street fighting… To name a few of your charges. Fred… I know you were just doing your job but your filthy mermaid boss has been harbouring these criminals right under your nose… You can walk out of here with a slap on your wrist.” Captain Barry McGuire said in a mighty tone that cut through the tense air like butter. He was a man that did not like to let his presence go unknown, he truly was a big man in this small south blue. The young apprentice would take this chance to walk a few steps to the side to get out of the way.
“See I just got us exactly where I needed us to go!” Navi said with a grin before leaning over the guardrail, not even attempting to keep his hands up in the air as he was ordered too. “Ohh Lieutenant McGuire! How’s the Wife?” He said as he let his eyes rest on the captain as if he were an old friend. What tension was in the room doubled as the marines who were there jostled their rifles and looked between one another before their captain as if they were asking for orders.
The captain stopped, locking his eyes to the old nemesis and then looking to the young Adrian Idol, he would look shocked and confused before coughing and hastily regaining his composure to hide the fact he had just gawked at the man who should not be here. “Come now Victor, play nice. We all know how our last encounter turned out.” He said as he watched Navi make a leap from the deck of the ship to the concrete below.
“Yeah, we do. That’s why I am turning myself in peacefully.” The Hawaiian clad man noted as he raised his hands and awaited cuffs. ”So you can keep your job.” He mouthed to the man who was grasping at one of his swords and watching the drunkard like a hawk.
As a recruit came along and hastily grabbed the storytellers arms a new voice could be heard. “You’ll be dead before you can even grab his other arm! Stop it there.” Lilly shouted, she was looking out of one of the unfinished windows, her massive Gatling gun resting in the windows frame. “Navi, you said you could beat a captain blindfolded… why are you turning yourself in?” She followed up, not knowing that her compatriot had a plan, nor that this was a vital step to the plan.
“Cool your jets Lilly; I don’t want to wreck Veera’s shop is all.” The Blonde said simply as the marine continued to do his job. With his words, the ashen haired gin vixen would frown and then follow suit, allowing the marines to come aboard and do the word. However, she did not look happy about this wakeup call one bit.
A little while later.
Not many words were said after this, apart from orders from the captain to always have a gun to navi’s head at all times. The precesion through the town and to the castle dungeons was butter and full of hate, most of it coming from Lilly who was cursing the fact she was following Navi. The Captain was always behind the head storyteller, never taking an eye off of him and always grasping his sword. The guards who were transporting Adrian and Lilly had an easier job, they would drag the pair by manacles that were secured to their wrists.
As they were tossed into their cells the Captain would release the racers from the night before, all but the gyojin, the fishwoman who he had a natural disgust and unease for. “Right, Royce, you and your boys have it easy this time, I hope a night in the cells has taught you not to break my laws anymore. Now get. Fish girl. You stay right where you are, piracy Is a serious crime after all.” The captain would then chuck Navi into a cell across from the young sea woman after throwing Adrian and Lilly into the one next to her. The Large gun that Lilly carried was placed on a table at the door to the guards break room with Navi’s belt. “Get me a secure line to Commander Ross, if he asks why tell him I’ve seen ghost.” The captain said as he walked out of the basement cells and up the castle towards his office.
“Great, now you got us in the cells for no reason, you drunken ass!” Lilly shouted across to Navi who was leaning against his door with a grin on his face. His plan worked perfectly
“I am right where I want to be Lil, we can get to the treasure easier from here.” He replied softly.
