Leaving from the Tenken dojo with a wave of farewell and a nod for the mention of thanks, Elias left with one final comment, "No thanks is needed, I am lucky to have learned more of the Tenken school, and I look forward to seeing how powerful you can become."
Taking up his spear on the way out, Elias takes off into a jog down the side of the road, anxious to get back to his own school now. Heading down to the end of the road and then taking a sharp off-turn. Heading down a long trail towards the Bajiquan Ship Builder school. Following a long, winding trail down to a secluded inlet, the school had it's own very small stretch of beach they used to launch ships and connected to it was the massive school grounds. Huge pillars at the corners of large roofs, a series of open-air covered areas used as dry docks and also the schools main dojo area. The actual school building being nothing more than a barracks and kitchen.
Heading up to the place he considered home, Elias removed the sheath from his spear, no longer needed here. Walking into the school grounds and breathing in deeply of the scent of pitch, sawdust, and sweat. Bowing his head in greeting to a handful of those he remembered, making his way to the dry dock where the master's gathered. A ship that was 90% complete, built long ago with exotic woods and with awe inspiring skill. It was created by Grandmaster Guyan but the building stopped when the proposed recipient, a Daibukai, lost his status. No longer free from retribution for making a ship for a Pirate, the construction was too well publicized and Guyan elected not to complete the ship... most of their ships were sold to the Marines after all and they needed to keep the school running.
The many masters of the school now used the unfinished ship, which they called 'hope', as a meeting area, sitting rooms, and anything else the yard and kitchen/barracks building couldn't accommodate. Walking up the scaffold stairs, now a fully permanent staircase, Elias set his spear into a nearby rack and approached a gathering of elders. Giving a low bow, and waiting for them to finish their conversation before one of them approached him.
Looking up, he recognized his own Sifu, Pierce Wu. Trying to keep himself composed a moment he gave the usual greeting and bowed lower than before. About to drop to his knees and kowtow when he was stopped and led by the arm into one of the ship's many cabins. Taking a seat and letting go of the pleasant face he'd been holding so long, "It's so good to see you..."
Moving over to make tea, Sifu took his time and nodded back to him, "It is a shame, the circumstances that have brought you back to us. I had wished for your heart to find peace in your work, but it was folly after all."
Elias slumped into his chair and shook his head, "That is where you are wrong, Sifu. My work was fruitful after all, as I've found purpose. Before I wished only to right the wrongs that I thought I caused. Now I see it had nothing to do with me, but those who tried to punish me."
One of Sifu Pierce Wu's eyebrows lifted, surprised at the this speech from his always so dutiful and reserved student. The fires he always saw burning in him now stoked by the tragedy that had brought him back to the dojo...
