You meet a mysterious gladiator, fishwoman, and boxer!

The Captain was certainly something, but Gorrum was far from intimidated. In fact this fight was a bit of a thrill. He hadn't had a good scrap since he and the others had escaped back into the Blues. A grin was on his draconic seeming face as the Captain punched his shield and hardly moved him. "It's called a shield Captain Douchebag. Made it myself to fuck up assholes."

As the Captain moved back to try and get some distance Gorrum kept pushing the attack and moved forward. When the grenades flew at him Gorrum hunkered down behind his sheild. He couldn't block all three of them, but his scales would reduce the damage from the grenade behind him by a great deal. His back had the most spikes and hard scales so a bit of shrapnel wouldn't kill him.

His body rocked as the shield absorbed the blast fro the first two. He felt some pain in his back, but they were only shallow scratches in his armored hide. The noise hurt him worst than the actual attack. He got up and charged again at the Captain. "Come on now stop tossing fire crackers around and fight me you gutless coward!"

"Spine Wall!" (E-rank): To deter opponents and to mitigate damage the user hunch down a bit and bring their limps together. This will expose more of their spikes and hard scales. The scales are hard enough to take a good deal of punishment and dish out the hurt if an opponent punches them

[The Shimmering Banana]

The smell of justice was in the air to the over confident group of marines. Their initial attacks seemed to be going their way with each of their fights turning towards their favor. Shimmer knew that this would have to end soon one way or another as she tucked the bottom set of arms into her bag lighting a round of long fused fire crackers. The previous explosions from the Captain inspiring her to try this attack. She knew the blast themselves wouldn't do any real damage but hopefully the repetitive piping sound would be just what everyone needed to distract their opponent. If not then this fight would most likely still be over by the end of her next move with her and her group as the losers.

With the fuse lit the young woman tosses the pack of child's explosives towards the recycling bin, full of glass bottles, the pack sliding through the trash landing almost perfectly in the center of the receptacle. The motion noticed by Pepper but not seen as anything threatful considering it was in a completely different direction. That was the power of misdirection, if you guided someone's eyes away from the actual attack, the attack should be successful.

With the countdown continuing Redips thought he had all but won this bout. His opponent ,Zel, having felt most the force from his clench. The release leaving him with a surprise of his own the man countering his last jab with a devastating hook to his rubs the pair instantly leaping away from each other. Zel not being the only one left holding his ribs from pain, yet Redips pain was a tad bit more sever than the villains who help himself to fool the marine. Redhips smug grin grew even larger as it had been a while since he was attacked with such force. And the last time he felt that was the last time him and the Captain spared. "This is fun don't you think?" he questions Zel as he continued to hop from foot to foot on his toes.

He then slowly moves in tossing jabs from a distance re measuring his reach against the man. Once he established his reach the marine moved in slightly closer to start his attack. As he moves in Redips tosses one more fake jab as fast as he could preparing to set up his attack. As he retracts his arm from the jab the young marine lowers his center of gravity sticking out his left leg before turning counterclockwise attempting to sweep the leg. A perfect set up as a boxer usually had no defenses against leg attacks.

As the lieutenant set up his trap the captain went for a more direct approach. The lizard man taunted him with each breath he took. "How dare this scum stand up to the greatness that is the MARINES" he says to himself as Gorrum continued to talk smack towards him.

"So you think your shell is tough?" he calls out tapping his pistol on his solid chest plate. "Let's see just how tough it is" he continued as he squeezes his spiked fist tighter. Each squeeze increasing the size of the spikes by an inch. By the end of his pumping the spikes were at least a foot long and an inch and a half wide. Ahab holstered his pistol using the hand to toss another three explosives this time the smaller two a distraction being smoke bombs.The third the actual attack, a bomb covered in inch long spikes, expecting it to roll as the last falling behind the horned man.

The seconded the smoke bombs hit the ground the large marine ran towards Gorrum. With his spiked fist hanging beside his head, he prepared to deliver one all out strike yelling out "Needle Fist!" the first pop in a series signaling Shimmer as her firecrackers began to go off simultaneously with the captains smoke grenades. The entire room turning their heads as Shimmer screamed out "Now guys!" hopefuly her partners had one last trick up their sleeves as an ear shattering noise rang through the bar, the sound of glass bottles being exploded next to each other in a closed container. A noise that would distract any unknowing person the effect of the smoke just adding to the groups counter attack.

Zel smirked as Redips moved back in for the attack, after his hook had hit. Redips began throwing jabs to gauge his distance, before moving in for the kill. Zel slipped most of the light jabs, blocking a couple as well. His forearms were certainly sore from the effects of Redips last knee attacks. "Your right this is a ton of fun, too bad I'm gonna have to end it." Zel spoke with a venomous tone, ready to finish off the marine entirely. 

Redips threw a lighting quick jab that put Zel back on his heels as he slapped the punch to the side. Then Redips, lowering his center of gravity spun, moving to sweep out Zel's legs. Mid sweep there was a loud explosion, drawing everyone's focus as Zel heard Shimmer yell. Zel moved into the leg sweep, essentially jolt forward and jumping over. As he descending he threw all his momentum into his right fist, aimed right for Lieutenant Redips head. With the Lieutenant still mid spin, and the explosion, he should've been disoriented enough and off balance enough that Zel's final attack would finish him off. 

"This is called the Jolt Counter, and your gonna be sleeping for a long time," Zel fully descended, all his body weight and strength behind the counter. Zel stood panting lightly after the attack, unable to see the result of his attack due to the smoke and dust caused by the explosions.

Jolt Counter
When the opportunity to counter arrives, Azazel can jolt forward, placing his full body weight into his counter. This can be extremely powerful based on the opponents momentum. However this technique is extremely risky, in that if it misses and he is countered himself, all his body weight is added to whatever attack his opponent deals.

As the Captain's spikes came out Gorrum kept on going forward. So th spiked bomb would likely overshoot its target by a fair bit. Through smoke Gorrum kept on running like a juggernaut looking for something to attempt to stop it. And that's exactly what Ahab would do. Attempt to stop him.

The man's grenade was deadly yes, but Gorrum's armored hide and the distance between him and the grenade when it exploded would keep him from being crippled like a normal human would have been. The smoke bombs didn't distract Gorrum, the Shimmer's explosions didn't distract him, and the possibility of injury didn't distract him. All that mattered was smashing the Marine.

With a bellow akin to an actual dinosaur and not a fake one Gorrum charge forward and would hit the Captain and his spike covered fist with his shield. Provided the Captain didn't pull some odd strengthening technique Gorrum's heavier weight and zoan strength would overwhelm the Captains. He'd keep going and attempt to slam the man through poor Joe's bar wall. "Just shut the hell up about the Marines and get out of my way!" Gorrum had plenty of things to do other than rot in prison or die. Getting Shimmer to fall for him was in the top of list so flooring a Captain for her would perhaps score points with the lovely fish woman.

[The Shimmering Banana]

Smoke filled the air making it almost impossible to see as the young fish woman prepared for her last attack. Shimmer reaches into her bag pulling out the largest of her explosives. A cherry bomb created by yours truly, more powerful than any mere child's play thing. It would be difficult to pull it off but not impossible for the explosives engineer. One single shot through the mist of smoke and to the face of her marine assailant. She takes out her Zippo flipping it open and lighting it in one motion. The small amount of light resonating from it enabling her to see the hazy figure of a long armed woman. Her target, Pepper, preparing for her own attack as the wrapped her long arms around her own waist. "What is she doing?" ponders the young woman as she raises her slingshot preparing to load the cherry bomb.

Unknown to the girl the fight would end soon for all parties involved as on each end of the cloudy room her partners retaliated. Gorrum having dodged and charged his way towards the Captain his shield so to prove stronger than his spikes. And Zel proving to be the superior hand to hand fighter. As the men deliver their final blows the smoke is cleared by Pepper who quickly spun her body. Letting her long arms fly freely her speed causing the smoke to funnel around her clearing the way for the others.

Shimmer releases her load the bomb being caught in the tornado caused by her foe.

*BOOM*

It's strange for three different things to make the same sound but they did. The first was an iron man being engulfed by an unstoppable force provided by Gorrum. His body colliding with the wall crumbling it as he broke through. The next was the sound of Zel's fist cracking Redips cheek bone. The lieutenant's eyes instantly rolling into his head before he collapsed.

The last creating a literal fire tornado as the small amounts of dust and debris caught in Pepper's attack caught fire when the cherry bomb went off. The flames reaching the ceiling as the young marines velocity decreased. In the end her arms laid propping up her knocked out body as she stood there smoldering. Shimmer walks up to the on conscious girl tipping her body to the ground uttering the words "NIGHT NIGHT"

With the strongest of the marine battalion defeated the other two gentlemen could do nothing but retrieve their comrades and retrete. Shimmer knew they had one the battle but the war had just begun for the trio. They just beat down a marine battalion in broad daylight, the marines were sure to come looking for them with even more force. "We gotta go" she says under her breath as she thinks the repeats herself much louder "WE HAVE TO GO NOW!!"

Zels fist collided with Redips cheekbone, shattering it. The Lieutenant fell to the ground clearly unconscious, and Zel relaxed, the stiffness sliding out of his stance. His eyes flicked to Shimmer first, seeing her push over here opponent, uttering a simple 'Night, Night'. Then he looked to Gorrum still transformed, and having put the captain through a wall. Zel placed his hand behind his head, grinning uncharacteristically, then bursting into laughter. 

"I think we did quite the number on these three, you boys should run along". Zel spoke through his grin, his eyes flicking to the two remaining marines. As they took off, Zel turned back to Shimmer, who was clearly in a panic. He knew that they were in quite a bit of trouble and get on the move, but there was no sense yelling and drawing more attention then they already had.

"Relax a bit, lets carefully think of our next move before running around aimlessly." Zel's grin had disappeared and his face became serious. "There's a few places we can hide out on the island, spending my life here certainly has it's advantages." Zel turned to Gorrum, wiping his hands off on his shorts, and moving towards the large man. "I think the slums on the outskirts, or the jungle are probably our best bet. Gonna take about a week or more before things cool down and we can find a way off the island."

Zel leaned back stretching and yawning, tired from his fight. "Up to you guys, I'm good with whatever." Zel awaited his two accomplices responses eagerly.

With great effort Gorrum slammed his clawed foot into the ground to slow his momentum after he broke through a wall with the captain plastered on his shield. "Gotcha you fucking prick." He said dusting himself off. Bursting through a wall tended to leave a bunch of debris on you. He was a bit sore from the fight and had a few scrapes and bruises, but they'd heal. He gave the Captain a sharp kick to the side to make sure he was out cold before robbing him.

He'd take the man's money, ammo, guns, and finally his spiked fists. He'd leave the man his armor and allow his flunkies to carry him off. "Dude had some decent stuff on him." He said as he came back to the group. He'd roll up the beli he gathered and put it in Joe's pocket. He'd then hand the gloves to Zel. "There you go. I can adjust them later if the need comes up. Now then I vote we stick on the outskirts of town. Be easier to get beli for a ferry or perhaps sneak aboard a vessel." He didn't seem all that concerned with the fact they just beat up marines. After escaping slavery beating up power abusing marines had been fun.

"I guess we're going to be in this together from now on then? Works for me. I'd love the company. Especially from such a lovely lady like you Shimmer." He had turned back into his human form and took her hand. "Say once we're outta here and safe would you consider becoming my first wife." He had a big grin on his face and had said it with no hesitation so he wasn't joking in the least.

Although the others were calm after their bout Shimmer was not. How could she be? They had just beaten and now thanks to Gorrum robbed a bunch of marines. How were they not worried was the better question. Who were these guys? Who ever they were the young woman knew one thing for certain. She would be better off running from the long arm of the law with them.

"I'd rather be away from people if we're hiding out" says the worried girl as her soon to be captain suggest his plan. "And if we make it out of this mess who know maybe I'll let you take me out." an understatement for the trip around the world the pair was in store for. The light flirting between her and Gorrum slightly relaxing the girl as she calmed her voice. Even though they were clearly still in danger the two men had brought her back to her calmer self. She felt safe around them, "there has to be some woods,or a mountain or a forest. Somewhere else I.. We can hide?"

Luckily for Joe he had remained unconscious for the fight awaking just moments after Gorrum stuffed a wad of money in his pocket. The old man rolling over to his stomach pushing up from the ground. His hand planted on the ground as he get on his knees the old timer having trouble getting up. Then placing his hand on an overturned chair using it as a crutch to rise to his feet before finally replying to Shimmer. "And you'd be right young lady" he says as he dusts himself off taking a look at all the damage. "Must of been some fight but if you've seen one bar fight you've seen em' all. But there is a forest on the edge of Loguetown. Seems like people forget that this island is called Polestar the larger the city gets." the old man reaching into his pocket as he feels a wad while brushing off the dust from his pants.

He pulls it out looking confused as to where it came from stuffing it back in his pocket before thinking twice. "If you kids are gonna hide out no one is gonna look for you out there." advise Shimmer gladly listened to as she made like a tree and left towards the forest assuming it would be the opposite way from the docks. "Thanks old man sorry I couldn't finish my shift out." she said as she left hoping the others were coming along if for nothing more then just to accompany her. The young girl slowly opening the door as she peered her head out to make sure the coast is clear. "So you guys coming or not?"

[Richer]

To say he was surprised when Gorrum handed him the marine captains spiked fists would be an understatement. "I usually prefer my bare hands but I'll give them a shot. Thanks Gorrum." He smiled slightly at his new friend, glad to have some form of company now. Zel stretched and awkwardly kept his distance as Shimmer and Gorrum flirted. He nearly facepalmed when Gorrum basically asked Shimmer to marry him. Guys got balls, I'll give him that.

Then Joe got up, making the suggestion for the forest, and Shimmer began moving towards the door. "Well as long as I get to beat up on some more marines with you folks, I'm good to go." Zel smirked before walking past Shimmer at the door.

"I know the perfect little place in the forest if you guys want to follow me. We can plan out our next move once we get there." Zel tied his gifted spike fists onto his belt loop, they obviously weren't quite the right size yet. He stepped out the door of the bar, taking a quick look around and realizing there was no one in sight, began walking towards the forest. "Follow me, and be quick about it."

"Hell yea!" Said Gorrum excited for a future date with the lovely fish woman. Now he had even more incentive to not get bagged by the marines and keep the other two safe as well. He'd finally get a date after being a slave for so long. It had been rather hard to talk to the opposite sex when in a cell or on the run. Truthfully, he was surprised she hadn't smacked him. Surely this meant it was meant to be.

Joe was apparently awake now. He was happy about that. He did wanna say good by. "Sorry for the mess Joe. We gotta go though. I slipped you some beli to help cover the damages. Thanks for everything." He had a big grin on his face as he headed back towards the hole. "I'll try to swing back around someday and pay you back." He may have helped bring him his bride. Gorrum's grin widened at the thought.

"Let's go before we get Joe into more trouble. Lead the way Zel. I'll bring up the rear in case more just happen to show up. Shimmer you're in the middle. Easier to guard you that way." It was mainly so Gorrum could admire her, but he wasn't going to announce that.

The girl was relieved to hear and see her new friends joining her in escaping. It wasn't that she needed their help just that it wouldn't be bad if she had it. At the very least if she was going to be caught and sent to jail, or worse slavery, at least she would have someone to talk to during the trip. The streets were surprisingly clear for that time of day in a busey city such as Loguetown. Not surprising to Shimmer though seeing as the group had made such a commotion in their fight against the marines in the bar. She quickly crept through the streets making her way down a back alley around the corner from Joe's.

Not her usual choice when it came to walking through a city yet seeming like the best for the group on the run as most criminals stuck to the shadows. With the sun going down the alley way was the first dark place the young woman noticed. They were sure to go unnoticed as long as they stuck to back lot walkways such as this one for her sake hopefully not as gloomy. The brick walls covered in cracks from god knows what, either just ageing or perhaps something being slammed into them. The solid concrete ground riddled with litter and random types of liquid which she made a point to not step in. Its yellowish clear tone making the fish woman assume that they were puddles of pee. Grose she thought as she lept over one of the puddles her heels slightly landing in it getting her sandals wet.

At this point it seemed as if the boys were just along for the ride following the curvy girl through each creepy alley and every crowded street the further they went throughout the city. The girl stuck out all of her arms as they came to the next street blocking her two accomplices from running past her as they came to a main street. The sound of a dozen boots stomping towards them catching her ear followed by the yelling of a deep voice. "They were last seen by Joe's Place men! Capture these punks by any means necessary" orders the voice as a group of marines passed by the hidden trio without so much as a second glance.

Made sense though it wasn't as if they had a bounty or anything. Besides the fight they had just gotten into was actually Shimmers first offence so there would be no way for the other marines to know what the girl looked liked. "Great!" she called back to the guys "there looking for us" quickly crossing the street as the marines walked out of her vision. Luckily they were looking in the wrong direction rushing off towards Joe's while the group made their way out of the dense city. With the outskirts of the city within reach the girls pace slowed down, a similar feeling of relief returning as she could see a lush forest in the near distance. The perfect place for them all to hide from the marines for the time being. "There it is guys hurry hurry" she says looking back towards the boys, well Zel. Although every once in awhile she had turned to check on them, it seems as if one of the men had gotten separated from Shimmer.

"Wait where's Gorrum?" she asked her remaining companion stopping in place as she called out for her new dare she say it boy friend "honey where are you?" she quietly called out expecting the self proclaimed casanova to come running as she called him honey. After a moment of searching the immediate area the girl stopped calling out to Gorrum as she saw a single marine walking along the city limits still seeming as if he were searching for something or someone. "We don't have time for this." she says to Zel as she hid behind a tree. "Im sure he'll catch up he knows the plan. But it'll be pointless if we all get caught. I say we stick to the plan and head into the forest." peeking her head from around the tree the girl checks to see if the coast was clear. Then making her way into the forest followed by Zel as the marine man made his way away from the pair and back towards the city.

As they were running along Gorrum began to fall behind. Not because he was tired, but because he was looking around trying to make sure they didn't get caught. Gorrum was the most noticeable of the group, despite the fact his new friend had multiple arms, he was a nearly seven foot tall man with blue hair and large weapons. All they had to do was throw a cloak over her to make her blend in. Gorrum was never really going to blend in.

"Hey, you guys I'm going to take an alternate route and meet you at the rendezvous point. Zel don't you go making any moves on her while I'm gone." He didn't stop to see if they heard them as he turned off down a different alley from them. He'd pass some thugs, a few hobos, and some refuse he was careful not to step in. The city was large, but if they all stuck together their odds of getting caught would increase.

They had gotten lucky in their fight because the Marines hadn't brought down a large battalion. If they had brought down more they'd have lost that bout. Best to try and sneak out. Who knows maybe he'd find some more interesting people along the way.
