Watching patiently as the colourful boy got to his feet, the eyes of Miss Goldenweek widened ever so slightly as she noticed the change in complexion that had become of Weiss. Adding to his crystalline eyes and vibrant hair, a vivid red washed momentarily across his otherwise pale cheeks. Embarrassment was a colourful thing to bare witness to, but few could admire the shades of pink and red when they were the subject. Certainly, the number of meanings that the colour red possessed was quite astounding, all dependent on the situation at hand. If there was one thing that the aspiring artist knew it was that if a picture tells a thousand words, then a lone colour can easily tell a hundred.
He tells a lie to avoid embarrassment? Lying... can colours lie? Maybe I should look into optical illusions... Once more the auburn angel's train of thought went from real world antics and into the endless tunnel of imagination. Few could share such a love of painting as herself, especially to the point where every thought eventually led her back into consideration about her own artistry. Still, with her gear returned to her, she simply watched and waited for Weiss to take action. For now they were safe, but it would not be too long before someone realised they were missing, at which point a ship wide search would have been issued. Whether or not the Marines would be bright enough to search the storerooms first was a different matter.
What would he want with Kairouseki? He's a Devil Fruit user? Wait... Maybe I can match the colour of Sea Stone and cause the illusion of it acting like it... Now eyeing the hefty manacles which Weiss was so carefully packaging up, the artisan mentally mixed many a shade of green and blue in an attempt to find the perfect match. Still, being able to hypnotise someone into believing it was Kairouseki was going to be a very difficult task.
"Oh, good. You found your stuff. You ready to go then?" Apparently oblivious to what she had at least tried to say before the Sea Stone incident, Weiss pointing a thumb casually towards the door of the storeroom. The amount of goods on his person was somewhat more substantial now, what with the addition of a few sets of manacles which he had cleverly cased to avoid their debilitating effect. Unusual as it may have seemed, Goldenweek was somewhat curious as to the exact effects of Kairouseki on others. She could not feel it for she had never consumed a Devil Fruit, but she did remember her fellow Officer Agents describing it is a cold and heavy sensation, not too dissimilar from falling in water. What amazed her most was the potency of the substance for, as she had previously witnessed, even the smallest amount was capable of knocking Weiss off his feet. For any similar effect, he would have had to have been waist deep in sea water. A gentle nod was given and soon the two youngsters began the final stage of their 'adventure' aboard the Marine vessel.
So he can lock things as well as unlock them? Once more the mind of the young girl was taking into account normal things, or abnormal as the case may have been, and trying to implement them into her artwork. As they progressed rather stealthily through the winding corridors of the ship, the colourful boy was taking the time to implement his power and seal a good number of the doors that they had passed through. Exactly what purpose it served was currently beyond her knowledge, but she safely assumed that it would aid in their escape. But with every door that Weiss locked, the mind of the reformed Officer Agent began to consider what kind of power she possessed. Through knowledge of colour, she could draw out certain emotions, but could colour also possess the power to seal them away?
Fresh air... The night... What an eerie scene. Definitely worthy of a painting... Gaze transfixed upon the horizon as the escaped the confines of the ship's interior, Goldenweek ignored Weiss' deep intake of breath and rather focused on the beauty of the natural world. In the distance sat the silver white luminescence of the moon, slowly descending from the starlit sky and appearing as if it were sinking into the still black waters of the sea. Of course, it was unlikely that either she or Weiss knew where the vessel had ended up, for Marine routes were a closely guarded secret. For all they knew, they could be on the other side of the world already. Unlikely, but still.
"There's the lifeboats. We'll have to lower one down to the water. The noise will probably tip off the peanut gallery to what we're doing. Any ideas?" Eyes following the gestures of Weiss as he identified their objective, as well as the obstacles that presented themselves upon deck; a handful of Marines who kept watch for other vessels. Their eyes would likely be focused more or less on the distance than on the ship, though Weiss was definitely right about the noise.
Black won't be effective in this light, so I'll need to use a brighter colour. I think red may be the best choice... Now. Ideas were something that she was never exactly short of, though very rarely did she have them for anything else aside from her artwork. This time, however, Miss Goldenweek was concocting the perfect plan to aid their retreat. There was a selection of lifeboats all lined up at the side of the ship, but surely they would only need one?
"Which lifeboat...?" Asking a simple question without giving Weiss so much as a glance, her eyes remaining focused upon the Marines as they went about their business of not doing anything in particular. Still, she wanted to know exactly which one they were going to use to escape. The last thing that the painter wanted to do was stick a bullseye on their getaway vehicle...
With their chosen vessel identified, Miss Goldenweek began to put her plan into action. It was always risky without knowledge of her opponent's mental capacity, for her tricks only worked on those with simpler minds. That said, a good portion of the Marines she had initially met had easily fallen for her Colors Trap, so it was easily plausible that others would be susceptible to its effects. Brush and palette at the ready, she dabbed the bristles into the blotch of red that rested upon the soft wooden plate before splashing out upon the side of a second available lifeboat. The flurry of red paint soon took the form of an unusual symbol: a circle emblazoned upon the side of the boat, from the centre of which emerged what seemed to resemble a person being sucked down a drain (for lack of a better description) with their arms held up in panic. "Colors Trap: Togyu no Aka..."
