Striking the Marines; Koga's Curse [Open]

In Chio's slowed state, he almost kicked himself for letting the bastard run past him. To his dismay, he saw the man run into the crowd, with civilians. Here he was without a Den Den Mushi to call for backup. Such a stupid rule it was to not issue training Seamen a communication device. Still, he kept his eye on the fugitive, and saw that he meant to run past the entire crowd, toward that one building. With his enormous speed and powerful legs, he traveled around the long way.

It was then that he saw the criminal literally RUN up the side of the building close by. He was quite impressed to see that someone ELSE could do that. Once again, he jumped into action, going as fast as he could at twenty five miles per hour. He pulled off the same stunt on the other side of the building. His wondrous legs using the traction in his boots to scale the side of the building.

To his luck, he made it up the other side of the building just in time. Eji had just gotten to his side of the building as Chio made it! By this time, the excess in his blood-flow caused the poison to work double-time. And to his surprise, he saw... a MONSTER!

The monster had all of Eji's attributes. But the difference was that his teeth were solid reddish black, and the horrible veins framed his horrid lips. His eyes, they were completely black in iris and corneas. Such a horrible beast! Chio wasted no time in swinging his leg straight for the creature!

"Chio HANDOUUUU!!!!!" He shouted as loud as he could! What a revolting sight he was! Chio's fear was clear on his face as sweat beaded down his forehead. He stayed in his fighting stance, his legs ready for more swinging if the monster came any closer. "S-Stay back!"

As he turned from the ledge, his dark eyes came to fall upon the boy’s fame. He was fast… and persistent… he’d give him that. “You gotta be f@&#en kidding me…”[/b] He muttered softly to himself, short steps bringing him closer toward Chio. The glazed over look in his eyes, he’d seen it a thousand times; the boy was with Atropis now. Eji’s eyes closed for a moment and things around them almost seemed to slow down to a crawl. “Stone Dragon…”[/b]

Stone dragon was a strange technique, Eji’s eyes opened slowly or so it seemed and he began to move erratically. The movements were random, and designed to be extremely confusing; to Chio it would appear as if he was moving in slow motion. He watched as the boy wound his kick, moving in quickly to duck under it. As he came up under the boy’s leg, a hard right punch was planted into the boy’s gut doubling him over. For Chio, it would appear as if he’d thrown the punch from halfway across the rooftop. As Chio doubled over Eji stepped past him, raising his right leg high into the air and quickly bringing the heel down on the small of his back.

The kick drove Chio to the floor in an instant and Eji stood over him glaringly. “YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!”[/b] He shouted outward at Chio regardless of the possibility of whether or not Chio would understand him in his state. He leaned over once again, pulling the boy up by his lapel once more and quickly dragging his limp body over toward the edge of the roof. Again, it was good for Eji’s sake that Chio was such a toothpick… but regardless he was running on pure anger at the moment. He swung the boy outward over the ledge for a moment, garnering gasps from the people below. To them, it looked like two marines fighting on a rooftop… which probably wasn’t a very common sight either.

“DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU’VE DONE?!”[/b] He asked, boiling over with rage before swinging the boy back inward and sending him crashing back onto the roof. He wasn’t the type to throw the boy over, even if he had screwed everything up. Atropis would drain his strength before long, if he had any left at this point. “How many people died today?”[/b] He paused for a moment, turning his gaze back to the smoldering marine barracks for a moment. “That piece of shit is still alive… I’m sure he survived…”[/b] He sighed heavily, turning back to look at Chio, not really expecting an answer. He knew this was entirely his own fault… not Chio’s but he wasn’t really ready to accept his own failure.

Chio was petrified through the whole thing. The demon dodged his kick with amazing agility. His form kept changing as he did! First he was a green, horrid beast with amazing constitution! Then as he punched him, his fist because huge and blackish-red! Then his body became huge and blackish red, his teeth formed into fangs! His eyes were now yellow and blood-shot. Then after more toil, he was lifted over the edge, one of his eyes closed as he cringed at the beast of a man. Now he was a mad, scaled beast of a reptilian humanoid, monster!

As he was thrown onto the roof of the building, his head dizzied, and he could feel himself being lost into the depths of his subconscious. He bit his lip, using the pain all over his body to keep him conscious. Now he was running out of stamina. The drugs were taking horrible effect on his body, and running strong through his veins by now. The horrible sight of that monstrosity was too much. He couldn't bear it for long.

That was when he was out of options! He brought his foot down on the rooftop as hard as he could possibly could. By now he was so far gone that he thought he was a man versus a monster! And he needed to vanquish this foul beast to save mankind from its horrible tyranny! His stomp brought a gigantic crack on the rooftop, one that broke several pieces of concrete away, and underneath them both, the ceiling fell through. It was merely an attic below them, and the building did not give completely away, but the ceiling did, in fact bear a gigantic hole now, and falling into the building only made his injuries worse. Still, it was worth it for the defense of mankind!

He was becoming more and more amazed with Chio’s stamina. Every time he thought he’d put the kid down, Chio somehow managed to get back up. Eji sighed heavily once more taking a few steps toward the kid, prepared to knock him out before this went any further. When suddenly the boy did something completely reckless, and given the abilities of his stone dragon technique… brilliant. There was no way in his state, Chio might have landed another hit on Eji while he was in Stone Dragon stance, but that stomp was completely unexpected.

The rooftop started to crumble a bit beneath their feet and he couldn’t help but take in the elated look on Chio’s face. He felt his footing slip and before he knew it, they were both tumbling downward into the upper storage of a small shop. He came down hard on that dislocated left shoulder followed by a loud popping sound. The joint seemed to have reset from the fall, but it still sent another spike of pain shooting up his arm. “Gaaahhh….!” He couldn’t help but cry out this time, the impacts on that wounded left arm really beginning to get to him.

It took a few moments for the paralyzing pain in his left arm to relax, before slowly pushing his way up to a sitting position. Surely the shopkeeper below was going through fits… it wouldn’t be long before someone found them. His cobalt eyes came to fall upon the boy, who had landed not too far from him on top of his own pile of rubble. “You really are a huge pain in the ass…” He said it with a wince, using the wall to push himself to his feet. Short steps carried him across the room to the boy left sitting in a pile of rubble. The boy seemed to have been struck by a large falling chunk of the ceiling from the fall, he was covered in bits of debris and dust, the sight was almost pitiful.

“Tch…” He didn’t know why… but for some reason he felt bad for the kid. He knew what Atropis poison was like; he’d been subjected to the shit in his training as well and felt its use a bit harsh, despite its usefulness. He let out a heavy sigh and he leaned over, taking the boy by his arm and pulling him up to his feet. It took a few minutes to get the two of them out of that hole… by the time Eji had made it back out to the roof he could hear the marine forces below making their way toward the storage room. He had hoisted the unconscious Chio up onto his shoulder, carrying him almost like luggage. Luckily the walk back to the tavern wasn’t too far, but he had to work hard to avoid being seen. After all, he was still in disguise with an unconscious marine draped over his shoulders.

It wasn’t long before they slipped in the back door of the tavern. Eji set the boy down from his shoulders, wincing in pain a bit at the tenderness of his left arm. “AKI!?” He called out from the back Kitchen, hoping for a quick answer. Before he knew it, a rather short plain girl with very fair skin came from the front room. “What is it? We have customers…” The woman paused for a moment as her soft brown eyes took in the sight; here he was bringing home strays again. She shook her head in disbelief before quickly moving over to the two of them. “WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?!” Looking them over she snapped a bit, glaring at Eji for a moment before giving him a strong jolt to that tender left shoulder.

He winced a bit, shying away from her for a moment before letting out a chuckle. “I over did it a bit… He’s gonna need some attention… and an antidote.” No sooner then he spoke up, the girls eyes widened a bit with a knowing look. She took the boy from him, draping his right arm over her shoulders and nearly dragging him up the steps. For being so frail looking, she was motivated and fairly strong herself. “Oh…” he paused for a moment stopping her with a serious look. “Make sure to tie him down too… we don’t need him going anywhere too soon after all.” The girl nodded quickly to him before continuing up the steps with the boy. Eji slowly leaned backward against a cook top, taking in the details of the day… Akira could tend his wounds later, and then there was still the matter of the Pirate.

Tunnels, Chio had to run through tunnels. More and more the tunnels built up and more he had to crisscross between them. He had to escape that horrible, desolate place! He ran, faster he ran until he finally found the light. He had to run through it no matter how many bestial hands grasped at his ankles! He had to jump, squirm, and dash as he killed all of his hesitance. Finally, he traveled on through the light.

Chio's eyes opened suddenly with a gasp, and he was all in a sweat. How hot and muggy he felt after such an experience. He felt like a huge weight was holding down his chest, and he felt that he could have slept for another twenty years at least. He let out a sigh, and shook his head. His hair was still in tact, that was good, and he wanted to stretch his limbs, but as he tried, he found that they could not be moved. Paralysis? What the hell, why couldn't he-

He looked down to see that there were several ropes binding his legs, so much that he couldn't even gain up the strength to break them, he couldn't gain any momentum whatsoever, in fact they couldn't even flex because the ropes were so tight. His hands were bound behind his back and he couldn't reach for... anything. These bindings were the real deal, he couldn't move an inch.

"Ah, hell." Chio looked around to see that he was actually in a decent-looking room. The bed was quite nice, but that didn't hide the fact that he couldn't take it in, as he was even bound to the bed. Squirming his way out was out of the question, he couldn't slither his way out, in fact he may as well have been a quadriplegic. Well this was just great, what were they planning to do? That, of course, was the million dollar question.
