Thor considered him a tall man and a very broad one at that but even he had doubts about a purely physical confrontation with the massive cyborg that had just approached him. The metallic man introduced himself as a capable fighter and a willing soldier to help out in the fight they were almost certainly about to walk straight into. He seemed strong enough and Thor had never been one to turn down assistance from fellow marines, though from now on he would always keep a close I on them, as trust had become something of a commodity. He did turn a brow when he heard him speak of Adel Masaru and the Wolf riots. He had heard nothing but good things of the Vice-Admiral and if the reports and rumors were anything close to correct he only worked with the best.
He noticed that the woman had been looking at him with a strange stare for a while now and he couldn't tell if it was a debate of weather to attack him or join him. When she stood at east at last he turned his eyes from her and turned back to the man in front of him. He laid one hand on his shoulder and let the other one slide down his sides.
"I always have need for a strong hand at my command and from what I heard the riots were some bad business but the marines there distinguished themselves as true fighters. You're in, though I'll be keeping one eye on all of you recruits" Thor said with a heavy tone as he turned his gaze from one person to another, only to note that the marine who had brought in the henchmen was already gone. Him and with him had vanished the woman who had been staring at him.
"Looks like they are a bit anxious to get into the fray, perhaps a bit of patience would serve them better" Thor said calmly to himself as he strode forward, beckoning the cyborg to follow him along. He knew that he would have been doing exactly the same thing if he had gotten the order to go take out some pirates. It wasn't in his nature or his blood to be a patient man and though he always needed cool heads at his side he didn't mind similar people to him.
He emerged quickly from the halls of the Marine base and into the sunlight in the sky. It didn't seem like the world mirrored the less-than-perfect state of the town and the amount of damage that had been done to it. The pirates that had been rampaging around the blues were all conjoining here and it was terrible for business as well as people's health. The sad fact was that nobody had the strength to fight them now that HQ had called all senior marines off to the Grand Line. He knew he'd be getting the summons one of these days but for now he stuck to his plans.
He arrived to find the two wayward members standing near and on the pirate ship. There was a quiet feeling to the air and for some reason they couldn't even hear the bustling noise of Roguetowns port nearby. Thor himself took a running leap and leaped up to the side of the girl who was standing on the edge of the big ship. He had expected gunfire and shouts but all he came across was a scared deckhand trying frantically to aim his weapon in their direction. The man was obviously so scared that he couldn't even aim straight.
"Drop the gun or I break your arms like toothpicks, boy!" Thor barked at the man who seemed to at least drop it a few inches before shouting some dribble about his boss coming to take them all out. Thor couldn't help but smile at that, as it would merely serve his purpose to find the pirate as fast as he could.
"All of you, search this ship from deck to deck and bring me any wayward crew members whilst I have a chat with this little weasel here!...oh and spill any flammable substances you can in the meantime, we have no use for this ship if the enemy isn't on it!" Thor shouted with his usually commanding tone, he wasn't going to fall to some ambush, not so soon after the last one and neither was he about to leave an escape mechanism for the enemy.
"Rayne! I need you at the stern, tell me if you see anything suspicious or any pirates trying to run off and report to their mates." Thor shouted as he turned back to loom over the small man who had now dropped the gun and slumped to his knees.
