“Hey! We are going to the market, want to come with?” Bella would ask innocently after putting on a big display about how tough she was; no matter how Jack would attempt to view things traveling with her was going be trouble for the both of them.
Magically his nose would be clotted up with two pieces of paper though where he had gotten them from would remain a mystery as his hand firmly grasp the girl’s forearm and he would shoot a glance towards the innkeeper, the other man would shrivel under the hostility born in the man’s eyes. Until now the pirate had been relatively lax, but this was Roguetown and he would certainly be known by anyone in the pirate world which would mean many bounty hunters would be present. It would be most likely that Marines would be active in this area and without waiting for any protest from the girl he would deliver a well placed chop to the base of her neck effectively knocking her out, she’d already caused him enough trouble for the day in his opinion,
“Damn brat…” he muttered as he would throw her limp figure over his shoulder and gesture to the benevolent innkeeper with the paper clots jutting out of his nose, “…hurry yer a*s up…ain’t got all day” he would grumble casting a withering glance in the direction of Ice and his boat.
Flashing a devious smile he would turn his back on the docks leaving the people to gossip about the entry of the man and the startling resemblance that he appeared to have with the notorious Jack Dancer that would be rumored to still have been in the Blues despite his bounty. Dark splashes of moisture fell from his lithe body as he would stroll over the board walk with surprising grace though his gaze remained fixated with a distant light in his eyes upon the red-orange sky above; so much had happened since night time. Images of Xun and the others would shimmer in his head as if they were a dream, but instead of remorse the heartless man would simply smile at the thought of leaving his comrades behind; there was never a need for a crew, he could do things all by himself. The dripping wet leather sheath he had strapped to his back remained damp even against his back only adding to the chill that would sweep in the breeze as the dock finally began to fade away leaving only the sparkling glitter of the seas as they would cross into the town where the innkeeper would nervously motion towards a particular building,
“I-It’s 200 beri a night and I’ll collect each night of your stay…” the man would bravely explain though he shrank back from the horrible expression that pressed Jack’s features into demonic image, “…but in your case!” the quaking man would quickly add as the pirate would step towards him menacingly while reaching up with one hand towards the visibly towering weapon at his back, “I-I’ll collect your fees at the end of you stay rather than the beginning, sound alright? he would ask as if he were begging for his life rather than dictating the terms of their stay.
Again his expression would brighten, even though some of the hostility still resided in his face, into a smile as he would dangle a pair of keys in front of the bewildered innkeeper who would adamantly begin patting himself as if searching for something that he’d lost, “Yea…those terms sound alright and we’ll only need one room, got it?” he would emphasize with a mean look as the pale faced citizen would nod his understanding leaving Jack to stroll through the double doors of the inn.
Finally he had made it to Roguetown after a few minutes of planning and a whole day spent wrestling the little tyke in over his shoulders. He would chortle to himself as he seemed to glide through the lobby area and to the stairs that led to the rooms, he wouldn’t even bother checking in since it wasn’t his style, but he knew that keeping a low profile for now would be in his best interest. His hair, a little less wet by now, would begin to puff up awkwardly in certain places, but of course he’d never been one to give much attention to his looks as he would sigh and drop Bella onto the bed.
Yet another day had gone by.
