He let out a sigh at Hanabi's antics. Clearly she was going to need some working on. Rough around the edges would be putting it politely thought Chris as he watched the scene play out before him. "Uh, thanks Hanabi," he commented in a rather unconvincing manner. "I suppose doing things this way could work." Putting out his cigarette on the side of his chair, much to the barkeeps dislike, Chris calmly began to reload his derringers. The sight of which he hoped to put a bit more scare into the robber.
"So my good man," he announced in a bold and slightly comical tone. "I would like to know, if you don't mind, where your buddies ran off to in such a hurry." The clicking of his derringer as it was finished loading filled the silence left after the imposed question. "I'm not going to bother pressing you on the matter, its not who I am. This young lady right here though, I cant speak for her." His derringer now put away, the sizable Lorelei was hoisted up onto his lap as he looked over it. "If you don't feel like talking, that's all well and good. Ill just let the lady have her way with you." As much as that sounded like a reward, the disturbed grin on Hanabi's face spoke to the contrary.
Running over the possibilities, he seemed to understand his position as the beaten man began to mumble incoherently. "The hills, in Southern hills there's a hideout. Some old ship I think, It got turned into a fort a long time ago or something," fear lacing every word as he practically groveled. That wasn't too hard, Chris thought as he finished loading a new spear into Lorelei. "Well Hanabi, seems your as skilled a negotiator as a fighter, though I don't know if that's really a compliment." Standing up, he tried not to put much weight on the injured foot, cursing the large mass of Lorelei hanging off him. "Do what you want Hanabi, hes not my concern."
