Mission 32: The hunt for a murderer(Monkey)

The giant got up again, and charged at Dylan with his shield. Dylan was going to dodge, but as Frillybeard got close, he felt suddenly weak, and he was barged back into the rubble.
"Seastone?" he wondered. He picked himself up. Some of the seastone had rested on his clothes, and he dusted it off, thanks to his OCD he was an expert at cleanliness. His devil fruit powers wouldn't help his cause, he would have to fight a giant on his own with just his swords.
"Well, I asked for a challenge."

Dylan sprinted at Frillybeard, who was gloating, and jumped ontop of his shield. The proximity of the seastone made him feel slightly woozy for a second, but he got over it. He leaped off of the shield, and onto the half-giant's nose.
"The oesophagus is also vital for respiration. The passage of air travels from the nose through it to the lungs." he explained to the pirate. "So I wonder...if I sever it...will you choke and die?"

Dylan backflipped off of Frillybeard's nose, and landed on where the scruff of his neck would be.
"Time to end you once and for all."
Dylan slashed wildly at the giant's throat. It would take him around five minutes to reach the muscle tissue where the vital damage could be done.

He wasn't pulling any punches.

The devil fruit man was now hacking at his throat.
Frillybeard no longer cared about humiliation, after how far these 2 had pushed him he was just going to make sure he stayed alive.
He knew that what he was about to do would do nothing to the opponent, and instead do damage to himself, but he had no other option, the man would kill him if he stayed there.
Frillybeard grabbed his shield tightly and punched it at his throat.

George wanted this to end.
He already had broken bones and excessive internal bleeding from earlier, and he could only barely stand at this point.
The tremors from the blowback of shooting any of his guns would cause excruciating pain throughout his body.
He was going to have to save his shots for the perfect moment, for now Dylan would have to form the main offensive.
George's main problem was that he had cracked at least 3 of his ribs, if these were hit again they would snap off.
These also meant that moving or aiming upwards was going to hurt.
He knew how to treat it but he had no adhesive tape, or medcal supplies of any kind for that matter.
His broken left arm was simpler, George grabbed some wood that had come from the building supports and used some rope to create a cast.
He only had to be able to fire one clip from his long barreled pistol, he was going to pour the very last of his grog on it, hopefully Dylan would be able to fuel the flames somehow.
That would be his absoloute limit though.
For now George waited.

As if he had "spider sense" ( ) Dylan leaped to the side just in time, the seastone shield banging into Frillybeard's throat. It would help Dylan get to the oesophagus. The Wolf Doctor was now on Frillybeard's shoulder again.
"Damn shield." he cursed.

Dylan ran back across Frillybeard, jumped onto the shield and back onto the giant's nose. If the pirate wanted to beat himself up, he could. Dylan ran up Frillybeard's nose and onto his forehead, and began slashing again.

Frilly beard only managed to get him away for a moment, but he couldn't attack him if he wasn't on him, Frillybeard jumped backwards and raised his shield to his face.
It was like fighting a mosquito, it's hard to hit the feckers but they do little damage.
Suddenly Frillybeard began jabbing the shield out and back at high speed at wherever he thought his opponent might be, he was beginning to get desperate.
He was taking steps backwards all the time, but little did he expect a piece of machinery to be in his way.
He fell backwards with an earth trembling bang.

George had applied first aid to everything he could, just for his one round to hit home.
He had applied an excessive amount of grog to the bullets, it was very likely to set the gun itself on fire, but George had to do everything in his power to do the most damage to the giant.
Suddenly he saw him topple, George saw this as a perfect chance.
Using the last of his strength he ran towards the giant, this would be the final move.

"Still minimal damage." said Dylan. This fight was starting to get on his nerves. Without that shield, the giant would have died long ago. When the giant fell backwards, Dylan leaped back up, expecting to land on a rafter, but he forgot about earlier. Frillybeard had destroyed the rafters when Dylan had covered his face in ash. The only structures left were in the corners.
"I can work around this." he said, still in mid-air, and about to fall onto a seastone shield. He looked around quickly, and saw George aiming at Frillybeard.
"Aerial attacks are out of the question, or I'll get in his way." He noted. "Unless..."

Dylan threw his palms forward, and took careful aim. It was probably a long shot, but he had to try. The shield was covering Frillybeard's upper torso and face, but not the most delicate parts of all.
"Hai Hai no..." Dylan generated around 20 tonnes of ash around him. The volume of it filled the upper level of the room.
"Clump!"
Suddenly the ash moved as if it were possesed, dumping itself down onto Frillybeard's "crown jewels". The hit made the giant sit up in pain, giving George a clear shot of his temples.
"That's the kill shot." he called down.

(OOC I thought I was the only one allowed to attack that sensitive area xD)
Just the tremors from running were excruciatingly painful to George.
Shooting the pistol might just render him unconcious, if not worse, but there were no two ways about it, this was the final strike, George could worry about damage after he obtained that fat bounty.
George finally leapt into the air as he got close enough.
"This is the end!"
George aimed down and shot round after round between the giants eyes, the gun exploded with flames coming out of every orfice when each round was fired.
George's hands were burned due to this, but he hardly cared, it was one of the least hurting parts of his body right now.
The giants face burst into flames yet again.

The giant was in an immeasurable amount of pain, his face was almost burning off and the devil fruit man had dropped many tonnes worth of ash on his most vunlerable area.
He could no longer fight, he managed to beat down the flames using his hand but he was still bleeding profusely from all the times he was shot.
He was going to die unless he did something fast.
"Wait you two, I concede defeat, I will give you all the treasure I have obtained in exchange for my life and freedom.
It's worth roughly the same as my bounty all in all, surely you will let me go?"

Luckily for Frillybeard, Dylan didn't have autopsy equipment with him, so he couldn't further his doctoral studies into the biologies of bizzare organisms.
"George, we can't kill this giant, I don't have autopsy equipment. I have learned all I need to about giants thus far." Turning to face Frillybeard, Dylan addressed him.
"Kindly hand over your treasure so I can be on my way. I have people waiting for me."

Dylan was totally calm about this. He knew that defeating such an opponent would earn him a nicely sized bounty, something attractive for all potential pirate captains to see. If continued like this he would be in a crew in no time.

"Remember, if you try anything again I will be back for you, and I don't give people second chances."
George turned to Dylan, "So how are we going to split this?"
George was not going home empty handed.
It's going to be weird to have a bounty thought George, he knew that the fact he defeated a giant without turning him in would be sure to make the marines place him as a dangerous person, it would be strange because George was usually the one who hunted down bounties, now people would do the same to him.
But still, thought George, it's nice to have notoriety.
As George pondered upon this he heard a group of footsteps coming towards him.
He turned around to find Frillybeards crew were looking upon the scene in pure shock.
They were readying to battle when Frillybeard called out to them.
"They bested me fairly, I have no regrets other than not being strong enough. Did you save the ship?"
"Yes, someone put a case of wine bottles on board and set fire to the top, luckily we managed to throw it overboard before the wine caught fire."
"Go and get the treasure from the ship then."
"But captain..."
"GO!"
With this the men did as they were told, Frillybeard did not lie, the booty was worth around 30,000 all in all.

[Cirrus]

"So how are we going to split this?"
"50-50. Fair's fair after all." replied Dylan. He saw Frillybeard's crew enter the warehouse(the one's he hadn't killed anyway).

"They bested me fairly, I have no regrets other than not being strong enough. Did you save the ship?"
"Yes, someone put a case of wine bottles on board and set fire to the top, luckily we managed to throw it overboard before the wine caught fire."
"Go and get the treasure from the ship then."
"But captain..."
"GO!"

Dylan followed them out of the warehouse. He walked up to the waiting Picassas, and told them the situation.
"I am recieving money from... a "friend". I know I've kept you waiting, but I'll be out of your hair in around ten minutes."

With that, he walked across the harbor promenade to Frillybeard's ship. He waited by the hull for the crew to reappear with his treasure.
"15,000,000beli isn't bad."

George obtained 50% of the treasure, this was a fair sum in his mind, 15,000 beli would keep him afloat for quite a while.
However George was in a desperate state, he was going to pass out soon and he knew it.
The only thing he could do to stay concious was to focus incredibly hard on staying awake.
He held his treasure in his arms, there was no way he could drop this much on the ground or anywhere where people could find it when he finally gave into his exhaustion.
He hid it in the cellar of the bar before managing to stumble his way in front of the hospital.
When he got there he felt so much relief that he dropped to the floor softly, and began to sleep.
When he awoke he was in a hospital bed, he felt as if he had fully recovered so despite doctors orders he left and retreived his treasure.
He sailed off in his small boat thinking "I wonder what will happen next...."

[Cirrus]

The crew came out and gave half of the treasure to Dylan, 15,000beli was enough to keep him going for a long time. He left, and went to the Picassas.
"There, it didn't take long did it?"
The Picassas gave Dylan 3,000beli as promised, and lead him to their boat. It was quite large, enough space for all the food they had given him.
"Thank you."

Dylan boarded the boat with his belongings, and sailed off into the distance.
"I had better make sure this food doesn't go to Waste...."
