Oh gosh. Blanchette’s ears flicked back, nearly knocking her hair off her head as she moved a hand to catch it. She hadn’t been expecting such an emotional reaction. As tears burst forth from her bunny companion, Blanchette couldn’t help but feel a little guilty for making someone as sweet as this cry. She was totally at a loss.

“I… oh dear…”

Blanchette put up her hands as if that would stymie the seemingly endless flood of tears from Mimi’s viridian eyes. It did not. She swore to be a good pirate even though Blanchette emphatically believed there could be no such thing, and that she’d beat the bad pirates up. Blanchette wondered why not a Marine or Bounty Hunter then and was about to say as much when Mimi fell to her knees. Immediately panicking, Blanchette grabbed Mimi’s hands and tried to pull her back to her feet.

“Mimi, Mimi!” Blanchette whispered urgently before her voice went to a soft quiet murmur, “That’s enough now, really. It’s alright! We can be friends. Just… Please, stop zis crying.”

Blanchette pulled Mimi back to her table and sat down, patting the seat beside her for her new friend to sit down as well.

“I just do not understand, cherie Mimi. If you would fight against ze ‘bad pirates’ as you call them, then why not simply be a Marine or a Bounty Hunter? It is a path that would not have you hunted by ze law. Why is it you are so dead set on piracy? You know they steal, loot, and pillage, non? What is ze point of being a pirate if you do not intend to do zose things?”

“W-We can? Thank goodness…” Blinking once more as her prospective friend seemed to succumb to the emotion of Mimi's outpouring for one reason or another, those epic emerald eyes only seemed to grow bigger as she found her flamboyant fellow femme seizing her hands and assuring her that there was still plenty of hope for their budding connection, and soon after the teary teen was lunging forward in an effort to snag the shoulders of the woman in order to embrace her.
“T-That's not all they're about, Blanchy!” Certainly not one who was above the odd and perhaps pronounced act of personal affection and displaying that with her attempt to hug a woman who an hour ago she didn't even know existed, the beryl bunny shifted into the seat from which they had come and squeezed her fists tightly as she realized that her golden guest had been on the receiving end of a rather ugly one-sided impression of sea dogs, and set about correcting that with gusto.

“My dad wasn't? He liked adventure and hunting treasure, and making friends!” Wiping her eyes with the white cuffs she wore as part of her ensemble and admitting the fact that she had quite the personal degree of insight when it came to her preferred brand of brigand, the brunette found her excitement growing as she announced both the notion that her father was a swashbuckler himself and let slip the impression she had of his peculiar style of piracy as well, in Miss Monroes mind he was the biggest and brightest example of the uncommon pirate, but wouldn't be the only one either if she had her way.
“That’s what I wanna do! Go around the sea, see incredible friends, and find well… A family, I guess?” For that reason the rousing rabbit happy to assert the idea that the skull and bones people wore were as much about defining themselves and separating them from the chains of society as anything, she would not lie and say that every example that even she had met was some beacon of fun and fairness, but she also knew that not everyone was a brutish buccaneer or something, and was determined to prove that. Even if she had to redefine the genre all by her lonesome…

	Easing her wailing when Blanchy reaches out, she attempts hug no jutsu. Trying to change her mind and impression of pirates, she mentions her dad, and her own design to be more of a fun loving and free adventurer, over a bastardly brute.

Blanchette immediately stiffened when Mimi all but tackled her into a hug. What. What was happening. The crying had eased only to be replaced with physical contact! Blanchette was not at all familiar with physical affection at all, so her mind had just gone totally blank. Stunned, Blanchette was given a slight reprieve to recover when Mimi moved to slide into the seat beside her. She was fairly certain that was all pirates were about - she’d met and swindled a ton of them, and they’d all been the same.

Shaking her head, Blanchette managed to collect herself enough to hear Mimi’s explanation of why she thought that way. Apparently, her father had been a good pirate, merely seeking out adventure, thrills, and friendship. It sounded almost romantic when she phrased it like that, and Blanchette didn’t want to call Mimi a liar or her father a fiend.

“Perhaps you two must be ze exception zen,” Blanchette said finally, not sure what else to say, “A family, you say? Hmm… Was your own not adequate?”

“My parents both were pirates,” Blanchette added, “And scoundrels. They did not care for anyone but zemselves. And when their deeds caught up to zem? Zey left me, a child, to take ze heat, as it were. So I do not have much of a family myself.”

Her parents were a large part of why Blanchette hated pirates as they’d been her first experience of them. Deeply selfish people, both of them, but Blanchette might not have been so obsessed with ruining as many pirates as she had if she hadn’t met… him.. Afterwards. Even thinking about him tangentially like this caused Blanchette to bristle, the fur on her back standing on end.

“Teeheehee~ My mum was great, and dad too when I saw him, but… I guess I have a pirates greed cause I wanted more?” Tilting her head when her new friend seemed to ask about the extent of her kin and the want she felt therein, Mimi made little effort to deny the fact that she definitely had a loving mother even if they didn't always see eye to eye and a patriarch she was proud of too, even if the connection was difficult sometimes, and yet despite that found herself longing for more of what she had like a more common brigand might crave gems and jewels.
“Brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles and everything! It was just me and mum for so long, and there weren't many kids around the club either?” Spreading her hands wide as she admitted her avarice for affection and desire for those around her to dote upon, if she had her way she would happily take up every single person she liked and make them a part of a wider web of adopted family, and as she confessed her craving she couldn't help but also hint at the loneliness beneath it all. Sure, she had been treated right by her parents, for the most part, but her desire for the feeling of closeness and intimacy had been a little lacking all the same.

“H-How could they!” The high level of esteem in which she held her parents the reason however that she would quickly gasp and fling her hands forward once more when Blanchette admitted the hardship of her own upbringing, once more those emerald eyes were wide and tears seemed to be forming in the corners of them as she found her heart throbbing at such implication of neglect, but sadness was not the only thing welling up inside her either.
“Don't worry, if I see them in my adventures, I'll make sure I give them one from you!” Stricken by a sense of outrage for how anyone could mistreat their child and leave them holding the proverbial bag as the flamboyant femme seemed to claim, at first Miss Monroe would pout at such a notion like a child but soon after she felt the need to reassure the woman in front of her, and so she brushed away her tears and shone with a smile as well as she made a promise to make them pay for their crimes if she got the chance. One she would whole heartedly intend to keep as well…

	Recognising the warmth of her parents, she can't help also admit that she longed for wider connections as a result of an isolated childhood. Getting upset again at Blanchy's confession about her own upbringing, she wipes away her tears and tries to reassure the woman, making a vow to punish such horrid caregivers if she ever came across them.

It was overwhelmingly evident that Mimi had loving and caring parents, not that Blanchette was even remotely familiar with the concept. She would kill for even an ounce of familial affection. Not from her birth parents because they had been dead to Blanchette for years, but, perhaps, someone else? Blanchette had never really considered the possibility of being someone’s adopted family. Probably because no one would actually take in an ugly monster like herself. So, despite her good parents, Mimi had been lonely. It was strange.

“Oh, do not bother with zem.”

Blanchette waved off Mimi’s threats with a hand.

“Zey are dead to me,” she explained, “I would not spare zem a second glance unless it was to squish zem underfoot like ze cockroaches zey are.”

No, in truth, while her parents’ upbringing had led her to be neglected and lonesome, she had only disgust for them. Hatred and loathing were too strong of emotions to be associated with them. They deserved the worst, certainly, but their crimes would catch up with them one day, and Blanchette would relish reading about their executions in the paper. That was about as much emotion as she could spare them.

The person that actually bothered her most, the one that set her against pirates well and truly was a demon disguised in human flesh. Blanchette shuddered at the thought of him. She sighed wistfully as she pushed the memory of the demon aside.

“It would be nice to have a real family… But no one would take me. C'est la vie.”

“You'd have to beat me to it. I can't not want to give them a good pounding from the sounds of what they did to you?” The lips of the lass curling all the more as Blanchette tried to dissuade her from declaring a vow of bloody vengeance upon her pitiful parents, Miss Monroe shook her head and sighed as her gaudy guest made a comment about crushing the pair like bugs beneath her heel, and winked as she affirmed the fact that she could not forget nor forgive fools like that too easily. They were due a little something for their misdeeds, after all.
“They wouldn't? Then they're dumbo's, right?” The brow of the brunette lifting next when it seemed that her emotion and outpour had seemed to help the woman before her feel a little more at ease venting her own feeling as well, once more the emerald eyed enchantress found her brow creasing as her new companion seemed so very stricken by the weight of her feelings, and once more slid her hands across the table in an effort to squeeze the mitts of this masked marvel to reassure her that the problem came from them and not her.

“I'll take you. I'll take you right now!” Grinning soon after as she opted to make good on her assurance as well and kill a second bird in doing so by claiming her first member of her new and exciting adopted kinship, the bubbly bunny beamed as she laid out an offer for the fabulous fox her to join up with her would-be band of jolly rogues, as the inaugural member no less, and once more spread her arms wide as if ready to embrace her potential sister in the hope she would say yes.
“If you don't mind joining a pirate's family, of course?” Tilting her head to one side however when she realized a bit of a fly in the ointment however given the distaste that this dazzling delight had for brigands, even though Mimi was sure she would prove to be rather a stark difference from the norm at the same time she guessed her new friend might have some reservations about doing a complete one hundred and eighty on her standpoint, especially if it involved confronting the more common ilk as a matter of course…

“D-Dumbos?” Blanchette was dumbfounded entirely. She didn’t know what to say to that. She’d certainly never heard the term before, but it wasn’t hard to intuit what it meant. Never had Blanchette been more flustered than she was right now. This was immediately followed by being even more flustered by Mimi saying that she would take her on her pirate crew family thing. Blanchette’s fur fluffed up in shock and confusion. What?!

“I-I…”

Once the shock faded, Blanchette’s mind kicked itself back into gear, actually processing the offer laid out before her. There was no way that once Mimi knew what she actually was that she would be accepting of her. She was a monster. That much had been just blatantly obvious her whole life. Why else would people have treated her like this? Blanchette gripped her arm tightly. And, even if Mimi’s band of pirates promised to be different, they were still pirates. She hated pirates.

“If you knew you wouldn’t say that…”

“Hey!”

Blanchette jolted in her seat when a man slapped his hand on their table, effectively interrupting her train of thought. She looked up. The man was a burlish sort, rippling with muscles and stinking of booze. Blanchette scowled behind her mask. The look on his face was a mixture of snide and angry.

“What’re you two doin’ all by your lonesomes?”

Oh lord. Blanchette wanted to retch at the smell of his breath and attitude. She’d probably hurt him if she stayed within his vicinity for too long. Standing up, Blanchette make to turn to go when the man, in his infinite wisdom, dared to reach out with hand to snatch at her mask. Blanchette ducked away in time to avoid his hand touching her mask, but he snatched up her hat instead. It flew off her head, revealing two distinctly lupine ears, which instantly flattened to her skull in outrage.

“How dare you?!”

“Knew…?” The brow of the bubbly bunny seeming to tighten with bewilderment for a moment as once more her knew friend seemed stricken with emotion at the prospect of joining her, Blanchette seemed to hint at something she couldn't quite confess which she seemed to suspect would change Miss Monroe's viewpoint entirely, but before she could elaborate upon it seemed that some alcohol addled ape would intrude on their moment for his own design.
“Gah!” The girl with the green gaze in fact so lost in the conversation and the building connection with the flashy fox that she was taken completely by surprise when some fool slammed a hammy hand down upon the table between the two of them, she couldn't help but let loose a yelp of shock at such an unexpected and unwanted act, and found her heart racing in her chest and the flow of their conversation seeming to break entirely because of that.

I forgot about those guys… Damnit! Luckily it only seeming to take the lass a moment to realize where this brutish barfly had drifted their way from, and because of that the beryl eyed belle casting her eyes toward a table where one of her colleagues was trying only too hard to fend off the attentions of a figure who just wasn't buying what he was trying to sell, Mimi felt her fists balling with anger both at the idiotic louts and herself for forgetting to take care of this problem before it escalated, but would be stalled a moment further as well by what seemed to follow.
She has… Cute little ears…? Turning her head back to her table and the woman opposite to find her golden guest in a state of distress herself since the drunk dolt had seemed to swat at her and knock her hat loose, while this only seemed to fuel the fury of the fair femme it also provided her with a momentary distraction as she discovered that their might be more to the masquerade of the minx than she had let on, and the lass was left to goggle a little as she saw something she would only want to pet sprouting atop her head as a result.

“Don't you boys think… You've ruined enough people's days?” Stalled only for a second or two by that fact however and all too quickly recovering that righteous sense of rage and acting on it too, Miss Monroe was happy to lift one of the heels she sported up and jam the hardest and harshest point of it into the side of the chaotic clod's knee in order to make him yelp next, she slapped her palms onto the table herself next in order to steady herself and then kicked the chair out behind her soon after.
“Good grief, why they let people like you in, I'll never know!” Certainly meaning business now that she had seen the privacy and protection of her friend encroached upon so rudely and showing that with how she pulled her mitt back, around her the air seemed to heat up as she let her emotions get the better of her and as a result the brunette began to give off sparks because of that, her spirit seething and ready to unleash a hit that she guessed even a man this much bigger than her would not soon forget…

Confused by Blanchy's reluctance, she yelps and is distracted by their interruption. Infuriated by their intrusion and attitude, she none the less can't help but feel intrigued when she spots her new friends ears, but has fatter fish to fry at the moment. Almost taking that literally as she jabs the lead brute in the knee with her heel, she stands up and readies a punch, letting off a few sparkles from herself as her emotions run red.

“Gah!”

The brute recoiled from Mimi’s kick, bouncing away holding his knee. He soon recovered, and in his drunken belligerent state, hadn’t thought better of this course of action. Blanchette watched him draw his sword, her eyes going wide as she took a better look at him. There was no mistaking it. Pirate. Blanchette’s hackles rose. Ordinarily, she didn’t try to engage or fight with them directly, much preferring the Marines to handle all that dirty work.

However, she’d make an exception for this one. Blanchette glanced over to Mimi who was still in a fighting mood. She narrowed her eyes as literal sparks seemed to fly from her. What in the world? No time for that right now though as the brute’s friends got up from two of the tables behind him and began to draw their weapons. It was going to be a massacre. She couldn’t let that happen. Not again.

“Dammit all,” Blanchette grumbled, removing her gloves and stepping out of her shoes to reveal black paws and claws. Red electricity crackled from her fur as she tore off her mask and threw it aside, revealing her wolfish countenance. She’d have to reveal a little bit of her true form here if she intended to fight. And what a waste. She’d been having such a nice time before now. Now Mimi was going to hate her, and it was all these hooligans’ fault!

Lunging forward to intercept the other pirates and leaving the big one to Mimi, Blanchette slammed a paw into one of their faces, sending a bolt of red electricity through his body as she did so.

“What the…?” Once more the dizzy delight finding herself distracted when her tablemate showed off something she might have never expected if not for this accidental 'intervention', Mimi could only flutter those long lashes of hers and find her mouth gaping as she watched her new friend crackle with energy and then lurch forward to unleash it on their target, and do so in a manner which earned little in the way of ire from the woman wearing the bunny ears.
“Amaaaaazing!” Instead it seeming that the slender siren was happier to squeal with delight rather than dismay as she watched the action unfold as a result, her emerald eyes lit up with excitement as she watched a soul who had been stricken with such unease less than a minute ago suddenly show just how potent and powerful she could be, and frankly could only feel her exhileration growing as a result.

Did she eat a fruit too? What are the chances~? Some kinda lightning doggy power maybe? Left to ponder just what it was she saw before her because of that and showing perhaps some of her sheltered upbringing in that fact, given her own ability she could make an educated guess that the combination of animal features and surging energy was somehow linked to the same source of her own incredible powers, and perhaps because of her own inexperience and absence of understanding of those gifts seemed to make an error in doing that. The world was a big place, after all.

Oh whoops! This one not however and the focus that the fair femme afforded the confrontation between the lout and the flamboyant fox she found herself fighting alongside offering the rest of her enemies the chance to close the distance between them, even though Miss Monroe herself had thrown the first blow it seemed that the act of her ally had drawn the attention of all, and because of that the brutish gang seemed focused on her. However, that wasn't something that the cutest and nicest pirate in the waters was about to let stand, was it.

“That's…” For that reason the leggy lass pushing off the table with her palms and once more seeming to make the air erupt with her own devilish gifts, this time she let loose no accidental burst of excitement and agitation but rather a wholly intentional pyrotechnic display, though more in the hopes of stalling them than anything else.
“My friend!” Finding herself thankful for the fact that the floor was stone and less likely to erupt into flame as she lashed out with her leg and raised her voice, the former sent a shower of sparks cascading over the ground in an arc between her fellow femme and the foes who wished to challenge her and the latter told them that their recently formed twosome would be taking this fight together, while also warning any who wanted a part of it of the danger therein. I mean when you play with fireworks, you were bound to risk getting burned, right~?

Blanchette watched with eyes as big as plates when Mimi suddenly squealed, turning to look to see Mimi fly across the room in a shower of sparks. What…? She stared blankly. Was Mimi literally made of sparkles and sunshine? Wait, had she called her amazing? Blanchette blushed a bright red. What d-did she mean amazing?! Wasn’t she hideous?! Blanchette gaped at Mimi.

“Friend? We’re still…? Friends?”

Maybe Mimi just… didn’t understand what a monster she was? Blanchette didn’t have much longer to mull it over because a flash of steel caught her eye. She dug into the hidden pocket on her dress and pulled out a tiny shield in her fist and threw it up into the air. It flashed with a pink gold light before suddenly growing to the table of a table. Blanchette caught it, deftly blocking the sword strike.

Pulling her bardiche out of her other pocket, it too grew in size until it was an appropriate size for Blanchette. Red electricity coursed through the metal weapons as Blanchette charged the pirates. She used her shield to bash and push pirates aside while shocking them and swung the business end of her bardiche at another, disarming him.

“HAAAAA!”

Blanchette whirled her head around to see a pirate bringing down his sword onto her back. She turned to block it, but she wasn’t going to make it in time. She lifted an arm to shield her body from the worst of it.

“Yeah! Of course we are!” The smile of the siren returning in full force when the new woman in her life seemed to question the strength of the bond they had built in this short but substantial period, Miss Monroe shook her head at such a question and then nodded as she affirmed the fact that nothing had changed in her emerald eyes as far as she was concerned, and frankly found it strange that this apparently furred femme would even seem to question the matter.
“And I don't like it when people try to hurt my friends…!” For that reason happy to spin and send shower after shower of sparks to deter the crowd on her side of their little 'arena', bodies seemed to stumble while chair and tables seemed to tip over as folk tried to evade her wickedest wildfire, and already people sounded like they were howling from the effect even if all that got was a glancing blow.

That should teach ya! It seeming however that someone was aiming for more than just a lick of the hot stuff however as a brute with a blade aimed his weapon at the back of the bunny's new buddy and had the misfortune to catch that green gaze as he did so, Mimi responded with apt and automatic reflex to the sight of the masked miss getting swamped by would be attackers, and readied herself accordingly by thrusting her hands behind her for a burst of maximum speed as well.
“Hraaaaaa!” Erupting with a vent of searing sparks but a moment later and lurching forward as well as she let loose like each of her limbs was suddenly a rocket aiming for the sky, the flying fox certainly lived up to the nickname she had been given by the folk at the smiling swan as she leapt forward with a scream and then unleashed a still burning fist into the cheek of the brigand trying to slice her friend, and in doing so seemed to send him flying across the room thanks to the sheer kinetic impact she could unload with her hits.

That should teach ya! Feeling no shortage of satisfaction either as she saw him spill and heard the sound of his weapon clattering harmlessly to the ground either, the feet of the fair femme skidded across the ground as she brought herself to a halt with a huff, but all too speedily did Miss Monroe move to ensure that they wouldn't have another near-miss like that one again.
“Let's show these pirates what we're made of, eh?” Stepping backward and rolling her hips a little to rap the rump of her fellow femme as she ensured that they were both watching one another's backs from here on out, all she could do was crack her knuckles and flash a wink to the woman behind her as she called her to arms proper, and felt a swell of confidence doing so to boot. These punks didn't stand a chance, did they?

Affirming her offer of friendship, she sends a few more searing swipes out in an attempt to ward off the group. Spotting Blanchy getting overwhelmed, she launches herself to her friends aid with her 'Blast Off' technique, and slugs her would be attacker in the face before he can land his blow. Sending him flying because of the force she hits with as a result, she slips in behind Blanchy back to back, and readies herself to fight the gang off properly.

Oh. Mimi stopped the blade and slipped in behind her, fighting back to back and covering each other. Blanchette was more than a little stunned by the sheer radiance of her new friend. She didn’t have an ounce of her prior anger in her anymore. Even though she was surrounded by pirates who - normally - would be her first priority, suddenly, she only felt an intense desire to get this over with so she could spend more time with Mimi.

“Y-Yes!” she chirped, higher pitched than she’d intended originally.

Shrinking down her shield into a more buckler sized shield, Blanchette parried a blow from a pirate and kicked him down with an electrified foot. He went flying, shrinking as he did so and glowing with pink gold energy. He was about the size of a toddler when he was knocked out of the air by his burlier associate who was charging in at Blanchette.

Twirling her bardiche, she ran him through his shoulder and tossed him aside with a grunt. She slammed her paw onto the face of the next closest thug and threw him backwards - also shrinking - into the back of someone else’s head. Which prompted that person to stand up and join in the brawl. Actually, the whole lounge was becoming somewhat involved with this situation, turning their scuffle into a full blown bar fight. The original group that they’d antagonized were barely managing to hold their own, especially the two who had shrunk to toddler size.

Sensing an opportunity, Blanchette grabbed Mimi’s wrist and made a break for it, shrinking down her armaments to a more compact size.

“Quickly! Zis way!”

Ducking under a drunken punch, Blanchette escaped through the front doors, pulling to the side quickly and breathing a sigh of relief. The authorities would likely be along to sort things out and arrest people soon. She certainly didn’t want to be seen by them without her disguise for a number of reasons.

“Ahahaa! How'd you like that, tough guy?!” Certainly seeming to be enjoying the opportunity to let loose a measure of the tedium and tension which had been building up within her since embarking upon her not so promising career as a bunny girl, the girl with the green gaze wore a mix of a grin and a glower as she vented her frustrations upon the assembly of thugs about her, and might just have been seeing each and every face who though it would have been just hilarious to make a carrot joke or tug upon her cottony tail as she did so.
“And there's plenty more wuh-!” Only able to impart but a fraction of the ill feeling she had been holding onto these past weeks before she found something soft seeming to seize her wrist, for a second the blustery brunette thought she had been grabbed by one of the cretinous cronies and was about to unleash a fresh wave of hell before she found a family and furry face looking toward her, and followed suit with the intent of her new friend to make like the proverbial tree and split.

“Whew… Maybe I got a bit carried away there, huh?” Hammering her heels in a rather significant effort toward escape and left a little breathless because of that when they finally came to a halt, Mimi steered their dashing duo toward one of the quieter alleyways once they were free of the building in order to escape the only too eager forces of which comprised the island's local guard and let loose a breath as she did so, before reaching up to her crown and pulling away the band upon it which held those antenna-like ears above her head.
“I don't think I'm gonna get paid for today…?” Shaking that very thing soon after as the gravity of the situation seemed to hit her, the fair femme could already guess that her wage for the day and probably the week as well would probably be swallowed up in the guise of 'damages' for the deed she had done, but ultimately didn't mind that too much. I mean sure, she needed the cash to book her ticket out of here, of course, but frankly that job had more than outstayed its welcome by now, right~?

	Getting a bit wrapped up in the fight and showing a fiercer edge to herself because of that, she none the less follows Blanchette in escaping, and rushes outside. Ducking into a back alley to hide, she pulls off her bunny ears and laments the monetary consequence of her misdeed, though ultimately decides she had enough of that job anyway…

Blanchette was staring at Mimi. She sparkled in the nightlights to Blanchette, her emerald eyes like diamonds and her brown hair gilded in golden light. Blanchette’s tail wagged unconsciously, and her own golden eyes sparkled with admiration. She was in a daze, practically starstruck by the girl standing in front of her. Blanchette only vaguely snapped out of it when Mimi directed a question at her.

“A-Ah! Probably not, I am sorry for ze trouble…” Blanchette’s ears drooped in an almost comical likeness to a puppy, “But! I have an idea! Why don’t you come with me? On ze cruise? We can travel ze North Blue together, and go on those adventures, and… ah…”

Her tail paused for a moment as Blanchette’s anxieties returned. She sort of pulled back and knit her paws together.

“Zat is… of course, if you… would not mind traveling with me? It haz its risks… and, well, people do see me and think, ah, zat is a monster, you know.”

Where she couldn’t keep her eyes off Mimi a moment ago, Blanchette now did anything to look elsewhere. She didn’t want to see the rejection on Mimi’s face. Plus, she had something else to divulge. She pressed the tips of her paws together.

“As you probably have guessed, I am a Devil Fruit user… so zat also haz its… share of problems. It is ze Chibi Chibi no Mi. It allows me to… shrink things… others… myself…”

She choked on the words that she wanted to say, fear of rejection at this stage holding her back, but hopefully the implication had been enough. She hadn’t spent long with Mimi, in fact, they’d only just met, but, if Mimi had seen her face and was still willing to be her friend, she wanted to spend much, much more time together.
