The waitress took down the order for Lukas and then looked at him with a raised eyebrow and nodded softly. “I can get a small cut of beef for you.” She spoke, making the final note on her pad and trotting away to go and get the order processed.
“Oh, your friend? Sure!” Rakka replied to Lukas’ question with a soft smile as he shifted in his chair and got comfortable. The young marine was ready for a really good meal here tonight and he wasn’t going to let anyone ruin it. “How long have you and Lisa been friends?” He asked, genuinely curious about the snake that Lukas had. His eyes wandered over to the reptile and his same smile was shred to her.
Rakka had always been good with animals, his kind and compassionate heart gave him a level of empathy that let him understand them in ways normal people couldn’t really. This was something surviving in the jungles of Karate Island in the south blue had always been good for. “She is a beautiful looking snake, she must be very proud of herself.”
Before an answer could come the waitress returned and placed the three drinks down, a small iceless water for Lukas and an Ice Cold Pipsi Cola for each of them. “I’ll bring your food out shortly!” The young woman spoke before moving away to listen to the complaints of the same people that had tried to screw Rakka and Lukas out of their seats.
The young marine nodded his thanks to the woman and took a nice gulp of his carbonated beverage. With his signature smile he placed the glass down and returned to paying attention to his new friends, Lukas and Lisa.
