Magnus #1
After following the false trail, that led him to Jreum Island, Magnus finally found another trace of the mysterious group, that was behind the attack on his hometown. As he was leaving the marine-controlled Island, the exorcist found a newspaper article, that mentioned strange activity on the Micqueot Island, where local gangs became much more violent over the course of several weeks. Surprisingly it wasn´t only one group going into war with another, but a sudden, unexpected explosion of violence, where a simple person caused terrible havoc and destruction before being subdued or killed. The local authorities started a full-scale investigation into that, but aside from arresting several goons and low-level mob enforcers didn´t make much progress and the situation was going worse. Reading this article, Magnus immediately remembered the amount of destruction a single elderly man was capable of under the influence of that strange serum and so immediately changed course to the Micqueot Island to conduct an investigation of his own.
His small boat arrived at the port a few days after the article was published. Securing his craft, the former marine captain was looking around, the city. It was several years since he visited it so his memory was murky, but he could feel that the overall mood of the local people changed. When he and his wife were there for the last time, it was full of cheerful people now, the men and women who were moving around the port were looking wary and fearful, almost as if there was war behind their gates and they were expecting an attack any moment.
“Hmmmm, looks like this is the right place.”
He muttered for himself, finishing the last knot, before turning around. Samson, the young man he rescued on the Jreum Island was hanging from the main mast by his feet, like some strange bat, his long hair freely blowing in the wind.
“Weirdo…”
Magnus muttered for himself. Still trying to figure out why did he even risked so much to rescue him, before shaking his head.
“I am going to look around the city. Stay here and try to behave. I bring something to eat when I´ll get back, alright?”
Samson nodded.
“Donuts…”
He whispered to Magnus in annoyance as he heard this word several times over the past few days, almost as if that boy didn´t know any other type of food.
“Yeah, I´ll try to get you some…”
He said, carefully climbing down on the pier as he didn´t want to break the wooden planks under his weight.
