Charlotte seemed to get annoyed at how Karr said they were connected… True, he had exaggerated their bond just a bit. But that was more to ensure he saw them as a package deal. That was seemingly secure now as the tall captain shifted the topic to potential combat and what they could potentially be facing.
The man had no bone to pick with Rabuka either, going as far as stating how he feels to the fishman and his race. Now that was a noble action of a real captain. He gave the respect Rabuka deserved, not just to him but to his entire people, that was an admirable quality. It settled Karr on the fact that this was going to be a very favourable partnership going forward.
Then Joey spoke up, bringing up fighting styles, that was something Johnathon was going to need to know if he wanted to put his crew where they needed to be in the future. The captain had a solid idea about everyone… well everyone but Karr it seemed as he turned to ask Karr how he fought.
“You can call me a Swordsman.” He said without batting an eyelid, a face deadpan as he looked to his captain and locking eyes with the man. He then leaned over to a barrel which lid was popped off and pinched the lid. He started to rotate it in his hands, one not leaving it as it ran around the rim, sharpening it. “Well, not just swords. I ate a devil fruit. The Togu Togu No Mi.” He explained before shifting his angle and throwing his razor sharp frisbee away from the group and at the lock of a door, It sunk into the wood and sliced the rusted lock.
“It’s funny, because it made me a whet-man.” He spoke before chuckling and looking at the group that were in the hideout earlier. If they hadn’t guessed the fact, he had a devil fruit by now it had just been revealed. “Joey owes you one hundred Berri Vanessa.” He said, referring to a bet the pair made whilst they thought he wasn’t listening.
