Ryouto #16 / Leyla #16
"Still interested in letting loose?" Leyla grinned as she looked at the man, her opponent staggered back up to his feet gripping his jaw. His eyes flickered about for a few moments still dazed it seemed from the previous attack. About her voices rose as marines, some alerted by Alexis' urgent whistle and others left mostly confused were suddenly set upon by quick acting contingents of marines. She was however otherwise preoccupied with the fight directly before her. She hungered for it thus it was the only thing upon her mind at the moment.
Her opponent found the solidity in his footing once more as he faced Leyla down. He moved in slower this time, more calculating, or perhaps curious. The reason for that was obvious, he was confused by the last interaction. Leyla's body was already warming, she wondered if she would still be capable of holding him still. This much heat did not bother her yet. "Well come on then. Don't have all day." She said half-bored by his over care in approaching.
Ahh well, if he wouldn't come to her she would come to him. Wrenching the rifle off of her shoulder she tossed it aside, she'd nearly forgot it was there but it had been and it was getting in the way. She dashed in coming in close quickly. Her opponent had his guard up immediately sending in a powerful uppercut aimed to catch her in the approach. "RAHHHH!!" Leyla's reaction was faster, controlling her speed by slowing herself down so the swing came in early. Warmer.
With the underside of his arm exposed she swung up with a backhand chop aimed directly at it. The precise hit slammed into the man's funny bone, his face scrunched at the hit. She expected he felt that strange tinglign one got when they slammed it against a desk or something. The distraction was good. She pounced. Stepping towards the tingling, the numbed arm she slammed her elbow into his the upper arm passing to her side.
Then turning she grabbed his wrist. "Zamerzat." The whole thing only took a few blinks of the eye as he was held frozen once again. Heat coarsed across Leyla's body as holding him still quickly warmed her. She rotated to face him and struck forth with the flat side of her hand towards his neck. He was already moving, overuse of her power had made her extremely hot but in this the numbness of the arm was actually helping him. He moved his head turning catching her hand in motion as she ended up slapping him in the face instead. His head jerked the other way but he wasn't stopped. The redness on his cheek certainly however looked raw and painful.
For herself she was overheating, sweat was beading on her face. Her body temperature was quite above what she was used to even if she did not feel as if she were burning quite yet. At least however she was on the outside of him. She kept moving letting free her grip upon him. Her opponent turned but Leyla was faster still. Staying behind him she grabbed his neck with both hands pressing in on it. The heat on her hands singed his skin as the man cried out crumbling under the pressure upon his windpipe until he dropped to the ground immobile.
Leyla looked down and laughed as she let him free. She glanced up to look at the Warrant Officer. He had a more serious look to him, a good one perhaps, one of someone else who was also rearing for a fight. She looked about. "Plenty of prey about, ehh Drescher."
The Lieutenant Commander tensed at that comment. Before relaxing once more, there was some truth to that. But he knew very well that strength and rank rarely aligned perfectly. If this was a Vice Admiral perhaps he'd be worried, but the strength of a man was generally not in their rank. He'd met some pretty underwhelming captains in his past. "We'll see." A taloned foot swung forth, "Rankyaku"
He'd take the measure of the man with this. A blade of air shot across the room towards his opponent. "Tekkai." The blade of air sliced cleanly through the man's wooden desk. Then crashed upon his chest slashing ribbons through the Captain's shirt but leaving his chest basically unmarred. Well, that was not a good sign, Ryouto bit his lip. This was not one of those underwhelming captains, for Trotsky's Tekkai to match his Rankyaku he was a good practitioner of Rokushiki at least. Trotsky laughed, "Is that all Lieutenant? Allow me to show you a real Rankyaku." The man flickered, Ryouto's eyes followed and he as well disappeared as the Captain landed behind him.
Ryouto turned as he landed, the Captain stood right behind where he had a moment ago his leg slashing up in a strike that would have probably gone straight across his back aiming for his spinal cord. A dangerous attack, the blade of air shot towards Ryouto. "Kami-e" His body swayed like a leaf slipping about the attack as he turned to face the fighter. Behind him a straight cut sliced through the back wall of the office sending rubble tumbling out the other side. A soft breeze slipped into the room.
"Not just Rankyaku huh, we'll see how well you were trained." The Captain said with a smile. Oh Ryouto was certain of that, his only problem was his training in the style was incomplete as of yet.
