Pluto - 16For the split second that passed after drawing blood from the white-haired man, Pluto was momentarily taken aback by the lack of reaction. He had thought that bypassing his defenses would at least faze him, but perhaps this is the result of pushing a prey into a corner. Desperation can make one do crazy things.
As Eric began to headbutt towards the assassin’s head, Pluto immediately took a half-step back while whipping his hand down, the same one used to cut his opponent, and secured the back of the man’s head with a heavy force, redirecting the man’s forward momentum downwards. Simultaneously, as he directed the captain’s head down, he launched a rising knee to smash into the captain’s face with a steel-covered joint. As strong of a defense his adversary may possess, it was merely external. Can his defenses stop the devastating shock to the brain slushing around within his skull from tens of thousands of pounds of force to the head?
Pluto’s fighting style combined striking and grappling into a seamless art. With one hand securing the head to provide a downward force, his knee struck upwards with superhuman force. It was the polarity between these two opposing forces acting opposite to each other that made this technique deadly. He wasn’t merely striking his opponent; he was forcing his opponent’s own energy to smash directly into his energy, sandwiching the head between two forces.
Meanwhile, Michael’s thrust of the sword would struggle to strike the armpit that was now closed by the downward smack of the arm. Instead, his captain’s head would be redirected to get in the way of his thrust.
