The fish disappeared beneath the clouds again leaving Filiya with a half drawn sketch on her notepad and some mild thoughts written out. It was an interesting observation, she even scribbled down a bit of what the others had said. She expected that Elyssa was probably the correct one of the two on that count, but she put down both possibilities all the same. Leaving her thoughts on it to another time when she had a bit to consider the full scope of living at low air pressure. This is, this was definitely worth it ... She thought to herself as she glanced about wondering what next mystery might appear before her.
Elyssa mentioned something again, something about visit Papiliea,it took Filiya a moment but she placed the name as the place Elyssa had mentioned she was from before. While she was not really a biologist save for understanding how her chemistry reacted with the human body, she had to admit the prospect that the princess put forth was appetizing. "I might have to take you up on that." She responded with a grin on her face. At the very least the frogs would likely be quiet useful, she'd learned many a lesson from a frog back in the day. Though, those frogs had been dead.
She giggled to herself at that last thought as Arizona's voice turned the attention of the group to a fin. It rose from the milky pool and suddenly a fish the size of a small boat at least was flying towards Elyssa with its mouth open wide. The Papiliean woman in what Filiya would consider fairly remarkable dexterity rolled off her cloud. As she began to fall she swung out with her bat slamming the cloud she'd been sitting on forward towards the giant fish.
The ball was perhaps not as big as Elyssa hoped it would be, as it shot straight into the fish's guzzling maw. The fish's eyes widened, or Filiya expected that was the equivalent of what the fish was doing in reaction, as the ball of cloud shot through the fish and popped out the other side of it. Spraying from the back of fish in what was probably the fish's blood.
All that being said, it hit but didn't slow the fish's forward momentum all too much. And either way Elyssa was still standing above a vat of sea cloud. Filiya was stuck frozen, to be fair there was nothing in her arsenal that would save Elyssa at this point. Well maybe, "GIRL CATCH!" Beside her Arizona had made a loop at the end of a long rope. Swing it above his head the expedition leader launched the noose of rope forwards over the cats towards the Papiliean caught between a fish and a vat of clouds.
Hopefully that works ...
