Ryouto watched carefully as Tsubaki led off her subgroup of marines to swing back around as he had asked. As their shadows disappeared around the corner of a street a little ways back he turned to glance at the marines standing beside him. They looked to him expectantly needing orders. Well we can't stay here ... he thought to himself as he looked out quickly gathering in the surroundings once again. Breaking and entering to hide them somewhere was a no go. Further down the street the soft lights of a night time market were perhaps a good place to stash them.
"You two can you act like normal marines day off work just taking a look at a night market?" He looked at the two expecting an answer quickly. The pair nodded quickly, starting to head off. "Wait." He said suddenly causing them to turn backwards looking upon him with confused faces. "Unbutton the top button of your shirts." Ryouto added quickly they glanced among each other with confused looks. With a pair of quick steps he marched up to them. "Do I have to repeat myself marines? ... It'll look like you're off duty." He put forth the question as they hurriedly undid the button before explaining his actual reasoning to them. As the two hurried off down the street with cheeky looks upon their faces he sighed.
At the very least maybe they'll like me more than the last grunts ... He scratched his head, their questioning attitude was good, though they perhaps were not as good of critical thinkers as he might wish. Not that the grunts were ever so good at critical thinking. It was a lot to ask of some poor grunts to think like he did. Pinching his nose quietly he rubbed his nasal arch thoughtfully. Pulling a hand carefully through his hair he took a moment to scratch the back of his head. Now then ... One foot hit the ground with a hurried thump and Ryouto rose into the air. With his geta on he quietly kicked upon the air as if it were nothing.
Gaining altitude quickly he breathed the air above the squalor of the street floor. Up here the air was cleaner, less musty with the stank of humans out and about their dirty business. He enjoys it greatly, he was in his element and a rare smile slid upon his face as he calmed down. Twisting in the air he landed himself upon a rooftop across from the alley that the pair from earlier had slipped into. With the sun at a low angle as it was he hid himself upon the reverse slope of the slanted roof minimizing his shadow as best he could.
From where he lay in careful hiding he waited patiently until he saw someone at the other side carefully enter the alley. Even in the barest light of the evening he easily noted the shadow moving down that alley only a street's width away. His eyes narrowed, black orbs piercing into the darkness for a closer look at the person trying to rip apart the web he was trying to construct. His hand nearly slammed into his face as he realized it was lieutenant Tsubaki. He was fairly certain he had told her not to try and capture them. Now he watched as she carefully marched up to an entrance and obviously noticing it was ajar or something walked in. His hand slid down his face, Not following orders and now breaking and entering huh ... This was going to be a mountain of paperwork for him.
Glancing to the side he rubbed his temples. He had two choices, to let it play out as it was or to go in and stop her and drop the ruse all together. The pair from earlier already had a vague conception that marines were around which favored the latter option. But ... he sighed, no, no he had to stop her. Well this was just going perfectly. Ryouto wondered how Koko's patrol was going. They had headed in the opposite direction and were likely having a nice comfortable patrol on the western side of town. Lucky them.
