"Before Bianca I was doing the same thing that I am doing now. Being a bodyguard." Yan rattled off lazily as he started down the street again. "And before that I was a member of the Marines." He recounted with disinterest. "That's been the last two years for me ... pretty boring if I do say so myself." Yan stopped for a moment stretching his arms wide out still holding the package in one hand.
Next would be, the general store. With the female living in their quarters now, Thomas and himself needed to keep a cleaner land about. So he wanted to pick up some cleaning supplies from a store. There might've been some specialty shop but he didn't know of any, besides he could probably get everything he need from a basic store in the first place. "Next stop'll be the general store, then I think the last one'll be the lumber shop. We'll probably need a cart for that. I was gonna carry it myself in a second trip but ..." Yan glanced at Yvonne again. He wasn't confident in her ability to actually carry the lumber that he needed for his current projects upon the ship.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a few questions." Yan said. Pausing for a moment he decided to just ask his questions. "I'm curious how you got to know Bianca. And I guess in general why you've accepted this position. I'd figure life as a doctor at a clinic or something would be a more stable job than this. Certainly it'd be less dangerous." Yan had gone through the same thoughts before, and he'd be lying if he'd said they didn't still plague him at times. He had the vague idea he could've gone through life fairly well just as a shipwright on some island building ships. It was a profitable job as far as he knew. His parents would probably prefer it to what he was currently doing not that he told them.
"Is it just curiosity?"
"That's good you're calling me properly now." Wan smiled at Bianca, he really didn't care if it didn't involve him. He was quite happy with getting involved himself and seeing where the events were heading. Then suddenly she crumpled, glancing down Wan noticed the attack straight into her abdomen which ad knocked her out. He blinked once then again. As the other boy stepped forth heaving Bianca over his shoulder at the same time confronting Wan.
The nickname he was given wasn't bad. "Red, I like it. Though you're a bit short to be calling yourself a 'big kid'. You should think before you speak. I think ... Brownie? Would agree with me here." Wan said with a mix of amusement and spicy words to bite back. After he said that and the one called Spare began to step away Brownie stepped up. Upon closer look Brownie perhaps wasn't female and maybe just a feminine looking male? Wan frowned as he tried to figure it out, though was quickly distracted as Brownie talked to him. At the very least she agreed that he was involved, even if he had jumped into it on his own.
Wan smiled, "Sure I'll follow along, I prefer more open spaces to stretch my legs anyways. The hills about the town are quite beautiful you know." He said casually, thinking of them for a moment. He did need to go off and paint them again at some point. It was a beautiful scenery that he wanted to record in paper. Maybe just a sketch would be enough, he thought for a moment. "Well anyways, just lead the way. I've got two feet, I'll follow of my own regard." He jumped on his feet twice, bouncing upon his feet to show his freedom of use.
