Having scouted the area from her position but realizing the rest of her group was not close enough to soon reach her, Kalendra weighed her options. She was reluctant to approach the situation on her lonesome, especially when the others were not too far behind, however she started to realize that the commotion on the ship was starting to fade. She wasn't sure exactly what had gone down on board, but she knew that the outcome was being decided as the shouting and various other noises started to die down. Normally this would be good, the less conflict the better, but this was a rare case where a good distraction would have well benefited them. As such more and more she was considering going ahead of her teammates to at least get a foot in the door for them to follow after, so to speak. She turned the possibilities over in her mind over and over until she heard a gunshot ring out, and then it became clear to her.
Moving away from the boxes so that she had room, she removed the mass of long thick clothing, head coverings, cloaks and ponchos, till she was down to her standard attire. Shorts, shirt, boots, a harness and holsters. Efficient in its simplicity, and she took a deep breath now that her movement was not as restrained, stretching all six of her arms in freedom. Setting the mass of outerwear down, she scanned around quickly for a way to proceed and upon noticing it, dropped low. Traipsing over to the edge of the pier, she passed the gangplank to the ship and actually made a running jump onto the side. It was a little difficult for her since her arms did not have the characteristic suction cups that other octopodes might have, and as such she nearly fell in the water. Catching herself by grabbing on by at least two of her arms though, eventually she carefully found better grips for the rest of her arms, and crept along the side of the ship at as best a pace she could while still remaining safe. Her plan was to move along the side and then up to reach the upper portion of the aftcastle of the ship. If she could make it there, she would be on board in a more covert manner than just walking up the gang plank, and as well she wouldn't be in the middle of the deck during a conflict. Able to observe, able to act when she saw fit.
