"Dear Pirate,"
Queen B. Melosa had stepped off her proud vessel onto the sandy beach. Standing in front of a wall of green, once more, she was mouthing the contents of the fateful letter that had led them here. For today, the pirate captain had put on her battle dress. Back home, it would have been used to go out to expensive parties, or to attend parades in the Queendom's honour. Today, it would emphasize her heritage and superiority over the dangerous enemy waiting for them: A bright yellow strapless corset, a skirt cut off just above her knees featuring thick amber and black horizontal stripes, together with her trademark black high heels and yellow leather gloves. Both Hanakanzashi and her old Chokuto sword were tied to her back, ready to be drawn at a moment's notice.
"I am an agent from the underground organization called El Roble. We see ourselves as nature's army."
Truly, the island was fitting for a group such as this one. Thick green jungle reigned over the south part of the Bliss Kingdom. From mangrooves reaching high in the sky to moss and farn on the ground every single shade of green was represented here. Flocks of all kinds of birds were soaring above the treetops, whole colonies of all sorts of animals were screaming in the forest and at least a dozen different swarms of fish were bustling around near the coast.
"This was the first of many attacks on so called human territory. Humanity defiles the world we live in, they drive away or enslave animals and destroy the forests to make place for their own needs. This is wrong."
In the past days, the Queen Pirates had indeed read with shock about many more bombings all over the South Blue. All of them were attributed to different upstart pirates nobody had ever heard of before. Hopefully most of them would take the chance to flee. Not even Melosa's resolve could go up against a whole army.
"El Roble aims to awaken humanity, which stands together under their so called World Government."
This was always the point were the Beehive woman frowned the most. Because of this cult, Lieutenant Lea Koshinawa had traced them down all the way to Aityaia. Having Marines as an enemy was not the problem in Melosa's eyes, that would have been inevitable sailing under a Jolly Roger. It was the amount of soldiers who had given their life for nothing that day. Those seamen Bendan's brother had slaughtered to protect his prisoner. Lifes El Roble would pay for today.
"You have seen, we can do in seconds what you would not be able to in your whole lifetime. If you do not agree with our policy, consider that you can have the same power if you work with us."
Reminded of this passage, the Queen Bee's smile reappeared on her face. Petty, really. Did they themselves know that their cause was so insane that they were forced to take in anybody?
It was the sound of her First Mate dropping the anchor that made Melosa wake up. She stopped mouthing to herself and turned around. As ordered, her crew was assembled on land. The pink haired pirate looked at them with a radiant smile.
"Everybody ready?"
The captain had told her friends what they needed to know about today: All about the disastrous attack on Dauntaun back then and what had followed. And most importantly, that today was the day they would retaliate and save the South Blue from the green menace. But not yet their strategy against such a seemingly overpowering foe. Until this very morning she had thought the plan through over and over again. After all the life of her friends were on the line, it had to be as perfect as possible.
"Let's wait till he gets here before I explain the plan."
With 'he', the swordswoman meant the passenger of a little boat which they had discovered near the horizon earlier. Clearly, the man inside was heading for Bliss Island as well. A tall black man in a chef coat with a blue knitcap on his head. Perhaps he was another victim of the cult like them or just a random traveler. Either way they'd have to explain the situation to him.
"Heeeey!" the pirate princess yelled over to the new arrival and waved with both hands. Seemingly a bit unecessary since he couldn't really miss La Colmena, but making herself seen wasn't Melosa's intention "Don't worry about the flag, we are friendly!"
