"Uuuuuooooh!" the wolf howled. A couple of meters away from his prey, it tumbled back and forth, left and right on three legs. The fourth, right foreleg was busy getting the searing hot ash out of the giant nostrils.
Its enemy, the human female with the ability to shoot these fiery projectiles from her mouth, rose from the pile of camping gear and clenched her fists. Her back was aching, her hideous striped jumper drenched from the snow. Yet, the hound had taken far more damage. A lowly flea bag, she thought to herself. Nothing a preacher of Avalon couldn't handle. Words were unnecessary. The animal would not be able to understand anything she could say to it. However, when Chete talked to a victim, it wasn't about the victim understanding. It was about her own amusement.
"That hurts, doesn't it, doggie?", she grinned. The maniacal glow in her eyes was unmistakable. "There's more where that came from."
Snow blew in every direction as the cyborg rushed forward. Half a second later she was directly in front of the foe, which was still preoccupied with its scorched nose.
"My Captain!" Lila yelled over the howling "I will need a patch up later!"
With all the strength she could muster she hit the enemy with her steel fist right in the nose. Exactly what she expected ensued. Entirely cut off from the orientation it usually recieved from its sense of smell, the gigantic confused monster went full berserk. A living being had to be in its immediate vincinity. So to hit it, the beast started snapping around randomly and pouncing everywhere. Kulira could have been long gone out of its reach by now. But for her tactic to work she had to stay close. And of course, unavoidably, she got caught.
A horrifying screech escaped the blonde's lungs when set of teeth, like an array of huge poniards burried itself deep into the flesh of her right thigh. Multiple spoutes sloshed out of the wound in all direction, colouring snow, wolf and cyborg in spatters of red. Tears of pain shot into Cheteria's eyes. It felt like the wolf was about to rip a chunk of flesh out.
Sure, she could have eliminated her opponent from far away. A taser to the sniffer would have done the job. But she needed her energy for the incoming battle with Mr. Segno's and Amelia's enemies. So, she needed to improvise. Use as little fuel as possible for the time being. That would still be more than enough.
"Hades Karom!"
The woman's right fist, mere inches away from the wolf's skull, was suddenly propelled forward at high speed. With a deafening crack, steel collided with bone - and didn't stop there. The force of the attack was so great that the poor pooch was ripped from the ground and hurled away. The fist, connected through a rope to Miss Akuvutika's arm, shoved it along. Long before it hit the ground 10 meters away, doggie had lost conscioussness.
