"So are you guys ready? I'm going to need twenty four hours. It's a small ship thankfully, a larger one would take even longer." The ship-coater told Syphalia as she stood on the ramp leading up to their ship. Smiling she glanced back at the ship, Pierce and Garuda were probably both on the ship at the moment. No matter, surely they could vacate for the necessary twenty four hours. It likely would not be too big a deal. "Just give me a moment, I need to evacuate the current occupants."
She gave him a grand smile, the coater had been rather nice about all this business. They had paid less for the coating then originally quoted so the least she could do was be cordial. Holding a finger up to ask for a second she turned around and walked up onto the ship. No one was on the deck, which meant both of them were down either in the common room or in their own rooms. Walking across the deck she came to the main cabin door and then descended into the living quarters. Stopping by her own she grabbed Burikaa Tourou from off of her bed placed it in its sheath and deposited it sheath and all at her waist where it belonged. Smiling she nodded to herself, always felt better to have her sword there.
Exiting her own room she closed the door behind her and then continued down the hallway. The next door in line was Garuda's. Knocking on the door she heard a disgruntled groan come from indoors. Knocking again she called in, "Come on! We need to leave the ship for the coater to do his business." There was another groan from inside "Tell him to coat me too, I've got a stomach ache." Syphalia paused and then smiled before knocking once more. "Pierce's food has never given me food poisoning so that's obviously not the issue here. He is good about keeping his poison out of the food." She laughed a little. "Go away!" Came Garuda's shout and so seeing that she wasn't going to get to him she shook her head. Hopeless oaf, turning she headed down a little before stopping considering how small the ship was. He'd probably hear her if she just yelled.
"Oi! Pierce! Lets get out and go explore a little or somethin'." She called out, their tense relation had improved slightly but it was not where she wanted it to be. Spending a little time together could not hurt right? Perhaps they would go fish shopping, she had heard that the fish markets here were quite excellent. That would interest Pierce right? He was a cook and a fishman, sounded perfect. Pausing she waited for a moment before walking back outside, he would probably come out in a moment but she didn't care to wait down in the cabin. Climbing back out she walked back over to the coater who seemed to be mixing some materials together in a large vat.
"Do you mind if one of them just sleeps in his room? He's got a wee little stomach ache." She was laughing as she said that. "Yeah should be fine." The coater said without even looking over at her. Continuing to swish the materials together he seemed to be paying her no attention. "He told me to just let you coat him as well." She laughed slightly and for once the coater seemed to grunt in an amused matter but he did not turn his face nor stop his mixing. Syphalia looked at him, maybe he had a good idea of a good store to go to for fish. Waiting for a second to see if he was going to do anything else she saw nothing of worth in what he was doing.
"Umm might you know of a good place to check out the fish market?" She asked sweetly, the coater stopped turning the vat. He looked up at her eyeing her over as if curious why she might ask about such a thing. Then his eyes stopped as they locked onto the sword at her side. Her hand was mindlessly playing with the hilt, it was just something they did when they had nothing to do. But the coater seemed a little disgruntled by it.
"Urrr, check out the shop of a man named Claeys hes in grove three. If you ask about The Fish Market I'm sure he'll have just what you want." The coater said uneasily. Shrugging off the coater's apparent unease Syphalia simply smiled back at him and thanked him for his advice. Claey's huh? Interesting name, not that she was one to talk. Grove three, it was a little annoying that that was on the other side of the island but she shrugged it off. A little walking would probably be good for her in the end. She turned around and tapped her foot as she waited for Pierce to appear, perhaps bringing Garuda along perhaps now.
