OOC: First Off I apologize for the delay! I went on a sporadic vacation and gave no heads up to anyone. for that I apologize
As they got closer to the food market, there were more people. Good good. Maybe they could blend in with the crowd... Although an injured man, a penguin, a cold looking man and a purple haired teenager might stand out.... especially armed people. However, her ears picked up Kusatta's words, making her look at him as they walked. Devil Fruits? Weren't those... Those were strange fruits that gave people strange powers. It must be because of the dino man that was probably the reason he was like that. As they walked in, Kusatta instructed that they would do things her way; pay for the food.
Things that wouldn't spoil were the foods Kusatta was looking for, so things that wouldn't spoil... looking curiously around, her eyes spotted a barrel and she walked over. Her mouth started to water. It was all hard candy! She put a finger to her chin, thinking it over. Let's see, things that wouldn't spoil... candy didn't spoil... So yes! Candy was a good idea, she scooped some up in her hand, turning to Kusatta "Hey, Kusatta, can we get candy?! Candy doesn't spoil! sweet things make a rough trip easier!" She said smiling happily.
However, her smile disappeared when a guard was talking to him. It seemed to be going okay until the guard went to hit Kusatta, intending to take his head off with a sword. "KUSATTA!" She shrieked, dropping the candy and reaching for the man. No, no no! she thought. However, before the sword could crash and kill him, there was a loud bang sound. It was a sound Hiroto knew oh so well. A gun shot. Looking to Hikaru, she saw two guns out. The one soldier had obviously fallen to the shot, a shot right to the chest were the heart should be. the other gun was at the second soldier. It seemed that Hikaru was threatening the guy, saying that if he moved so much that he wouldn't be as fast as the sniper.
Hiroto looked between the three, taking caution steps to Kusatta, "Are you all right?" She spoke to him, before looking at the fallen soldier. Her eyes then looked to Hikaru, "Your aim..." She spoke. Even under pressure this guy had amazing accuracy. It almost scared her. Hiroto didn't even have that accuracy, even when she wasn't under pressure. However, now wasn't the time to compare, her eyes looked to the other guard.
She took a few steps forward, being sure to stay out of Hikaru's aim, but enough to talk face to face with the soldier, "How many more are out there looking for us?" She asked, she might as well know the numbers. The soldier didn't say much, his eyes looking at the barrel of the gun. "Hey! Look at me, I need to know how many people are out there looking for us!" She slightly scolded.
The man sneered at her, "Look here little girl, it doesn't matter how many are looking for you, you have no chance at leaving this island you hear me? You'll be dead before night fall!"
It didn't settle with her. It didn't give her actual numbers either. She took an arrow out, looking at the tip before pointing it at her, "Look. tell me the numbers and I won't poison you. These tips are laced with a deadly poison that will let you die before night fall. However, your death will be much painful and slower than ours will be." She persuaded.
It must have worked, because the man seemed to pale. "A whole army." He spoke, making her hold the arrow closer, "250 soldiers! Not to mention the ten officers too!" He clarified.
She frowned, before looking to the two, "You heard him, that's a lot of people for a small group of what, six, seven? We really need to be going soon." She spoke to them, putting the arrow away. Ah, bluffing, how she loved it sometimes.
