'So that's a Quad.'
'What the?!''A Split? Yea, right there.'
'Grrr!~''And a Tweak.'
'Ugh!'This can't be fair, you cheated!
'Woah, me, Cheat? I am offended gentlemen.'
Torin's feet propped up onto one of the tables that surrounded him, all present with their own unique games of luck and arguable skill which he had defeated all three of his combatants in. The three men who had all been defeated simultaneously for the debated fifth time in a row had thrown their fair share of produce about the dock, but not yet the games themselves.. It was sadly their misfortune to have to deal with an obsessed gambler who hadn't so much as wagered Beri on something in the last couple of weeks, let alone play a game with something on the line. But upon observation one would find no chips, no Beri or wavering favours scribbled onto pieces of paper, simply the games in their victorious state pointed towards the centre of the three tables.
It seemed the traders around these parts didn't value trinkets and fancy gizmo's, Beri or even lies of him being a master of this that and the other, which was good considering he had nothing to his name on his person let alone anything valuable on the ship he'd give away for what he asked. No, he had been trusted, or at least put trust in himself to obtain someone worthy enough to fix the majestic shelled creature in which their vessel resembled to tip-top condition while also stumbling along three able men of the sea who seemed willing to try and best him in a mental bout.
'Fair enough I could have cheated, but you guy's weren't exactly putting up the best fight.' Regardless of whether the majority of luck was in his favour, thus the result being that of luck also, this strange enthusiasm to size up to those who questioned his gambling sportsmanship was something he wouldn't dream of months ago back when he first met a musician at the execution stand. Sure if his body spoke his mind it would be shaking at the knees when the three towering men rose from their seats in unison to retort the insult with dagger-like glares, but oddly enough, and agaisnt all other impulses he stood his ground.. Whether it was out of ambition to advance as a pirate captain or simply the love of his craft telling him that holding his ground might ensure the Jericho's repair. 'Eheh.. We could play summore if you'd like? I mean its not like I'm going anywhere..' They looked to one another, nodding in a notable impressive fashion of order and turn before looking down at the Hard-Hatted young man rising from his own seat while dusting himself off. 'So uuh.. We still good on the deal?'
'Right, you get one question or favour.''From each of us.''Say the word, and we'll do our best.'
And the arm pumps 'a plenty ensued. It wasn't so much he had bested these guys, just the taste of victory on his own turf as opposed to be smacked across the face and thrown around like a rag doll, as his most recent forms of competition have provided, is not only much less painful? But satisfying to the extremes, like dealing with an itch weeks old. Rubbing his hands together while looking around the new openly available shop of wares otherwise known as a trade port, numerous chirps of consideration and thought emitted from him before realising that half of them weren't even noises he was capable of doing, these sounds suddenly blanketing the ports general doings. The noise was unique, at least to the Captain, to the extent that his head flicked around from one origin of the it to another. It sounded like his pride and joy in action, no doubt about it, but what churned and cranked out discovery and why couldn't he see it?! Well, his main accident was not looking in the right place, it only took the crazy suspicion that it may have been from the air, and his sudden jerking head had caused him to land on his behind ti witness this dumbfounding creation in all its glory. 'W-What.. Who..?' Who indeed, it was too much above him to see the genius behind it, and in that he leaped over the game tables and up the wall beside them as it spun off into the distance.
'Who is that..?'
They looked small for such a small contraption, he could see from the dimensions that someone his size would look like a guy in a clown car.
'That's Gizmo girl.'

'W-What is that even?!'
It was flying! It was actually keeping itself in the air and moving around all within the same mechanics, what was so compact to allow that much function at such power?
'An invention, she makes little ones, big ones..'

'I- Is- Does she work on ships?'
Whether it was this single moment of sheer awesomeness, reducing the Inventor to drooling and glints from his eyes that consumed his whole vision, or the ideas that came to mind when someone like that helped fix the ship.. That is if they could fix the ship. Man, the possibilities.
'No idea, she's only been here a few weeks.'

SCRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNN!

'Oooh~ Man that isn't the noise of progress at all?!'
Something so glorious became a death-trap simply from observation, terrifying to watch as it began to scream and plummet like it had suddenly become nothing but stone. He knew the feeling that came with that, the possibility of being attacked by your own creation churned with the knowledge that you've failed is gut wrenching. He looked back to his momentary henchmen for aid, but it seemed that they had taken advantage of his amazement and considered their answers the prize he had obtained.. His feet were in full motion before his mind even comprehended the actions to take. The contraption had gone nuts! Spiralling left, right and center sporadically around the other side of the port, leaving Torin to have to guess where it was going to flail off next. It soon decided its own fate, or at least the fate of its pilot, and around the Jericho no less
... Wait a second.
'Nonononono!'
CRASH!!
'For crying out lou-!'
SPLASH!

The jump from the nearby buildings into the water was pretty impressive, or at least it felt impressive until he watched the crazy air-machine smack into the side of his ship just as he submerged himself, the feint noise of his shovel not much to admire under the water as it began to cut through the liquid and forced itself through it. Despite his heroic attitude towards this slowly vanishing inventor lady? He couldn't swim in a paddling pool, let alone the ocean, but his trusty tools had his back once again.. Just with slight fear that they'd end up pulling what her's did moments ago. The speed the Drill shovel picked up under the water gave him considerable covering distance in comparison to the head-protected mistress, it was hardly as dynamic as he imagined, even missing a couple of times before getting her under one arm and aiming for the surface. It was only once he had her under arm lock 'n key that he noticed how small she was, how old was this genius even?! Why was he thinking about this while slowly suffocating inches from the surface!?
'BLEUGH!' He yanked himself and the very weightless girl to the port side, one or two people looking on in confusion to he event where he expected much more, did the city just not care for airborne damsels pretending to be comets? The machine in question did well to lodge itself in the worse side of the Jericho's deck, its rotors still smacking agaisnt it trying to spin full circle while Torin attempted to take this crazy heavy helmet off this presumably equally crazy person. After finally yanking it off her person and to the side, Torin wasn't really sure what to do next, he just knelt there blinking constantly at her lifeless appearance. 'Uuuh, smart, girl person? Come on breathe, do something?!' She was a kid, He didn't want to go smacking her in the chest and slapping her back and forth to wake her up! 'Uugh! Wake up, you're too smart to die!' He deducted his options down to just shaking her about while intangible dialogue poured from his mouth.
He was literally the worst kinda-doctor ever.
