((OOC: We actually don't have a board for it, so i'm going to put the Sister Anko on the Baratie board for now))
Down below the surface, in the photic zone of the ocean surrounded by fish of all sorts, there was a ruckus going on. No it was not made by fishmen, though it could have been, it was being made by humans. In a ship, submarine of sorts floating a few 100 meters down below, one could see in as there were a few people sitting at tables quietly eating, but in one area there seemed to be a circle of people. This was one of Baratie's sister ships, the Dessert ship Sister Anko. A submarine with large windows going around to look out at the sea, it was highly intriguing especially for those partial to eating dessert.
It was a special evening there, the highly lauded underwater darts tournament. The ruckus brewed up every time a dart was thrown, laughter at horrible failures and awe at masterful throws crashed throughout the usually quieter ship. The sound was attracting a lot of fish that were swimming around, unused to the loud noises which happened only very rarely, they came interested in what was happening inside, only to knock their faces into the glass and swim off dejected. Or at least most of them did. The tournament consisted this time of 12 or so contestants all playing to be the winner of a free dessert of their choice. It began with a round robin, between the contestants to get a top four. From there they would have one on ones, 5 darts, whoever gets the most points wins.
One youngish girl looked slightly out of place with all the men in the game. Barely above five feet tall she was dwarfed by all her competitors, this was Filiya. Normally not partial to taking part in such games, she had been urged on by someone who had noticed a line of darts along her belt. She had been adamantly against doing this, but after a drink or two she was eventually convinced to join in the game. What luck had she had to come on a day such as this. She had heard of the famous floating restaurant of Baratie, and the chance to come on its sister ship Anko which was known for desserts was even better.
No matter how matured she was, Filiya still loved eating sweet food so it was a chance she could not have passed up. The unhappy accident that she got pulled into a darts tournament, seemed to be punishment for her. Though she was fairly skilled at darts, and free dessert sounded great, she disliked being out in the spotlight, surrounded by people cheering or jeering her on. With only four dartboards, people took turns as they went through the round robin portion. Pulling off her leather gloves and putting them in her pockets she walked up to play her first match. It was against what she considered to be some random brute. Her first throw was slightly off, striking the bull area of the dartboard.
The cheers went up as her second throw hit the bull again and her final throw went straight into the bulls eye. That was more than enough for her opponent to give in. Throwing his hands in the air he walked off back to his seat. He'd wait for his next opponent, the crowd was shocked at her performance. Cheering her on, she appeared to be the dark horse in this tournament. And the dark horse seemed to be quite skilled. Turning around she went to walk back to her seat as the announcer called out the next two names.
"The next two contestants are . . . ."
