The marines still yelled chasing him through the alleyways beneath the trees. But now he held the advantage, yes they may have known their way around just as well as he did but he had one thing they didn't he had monkey powers. Turning to fight the marines for a second he found that he was fighting quite the crowd of marines, a long line of marines chased after him. After punching down the first one he turned around again. "Catch me if you can!" Pushing off with both feet he flew into the air. Well not flew but rocketed, his strong monkey legs sent him into the air. Out of the low alleys he went his arms outstretched he grabbed onto the edge of one of the branches. Using his momentum he swung into the tree's lower branches running along the main stem away from the marines who were now a bare speck behind her. They had basically given up, there was no way they could chase someone in the trees. A monkey vs. a human in trees there was no competition.
A few bullets peppered into the tree near where he was but it was nothing for him to worry about. They were nearly all blocked by the large branch that he was running on. Stopping to think, he wondered what he should do next. Probably work on the ship, but then he couldn't exactly go out into public with the marines out searching for him. That would be nothing but trouble. On the other hand the ship needed to be finished and fast, not to mention he had to be out defeating the Lumberjacks. Thinking for a second he finally guessed at what he needed to do. There was one person he knew he could go to for help. Whether he'd get help was questionable, but if anyone on this island would help him it was that guy.
Running through the trees, he backtracked his journey all the way to the edge of the forest at the treeline. Sliding down slightly he nimbly jumped into the back area of the old shipwright's yard. The man who was currently working on plans for the next ship didn't notice Frien fall down behind him. Poking the man in the back Frien saw the man jump slightly at that. Turning around he didn't have a happy face on him. After realizing that it was Frien the face lightened slightly but then he said "You! Why are you here, for causing all this mess, and my back pains, I should turn you in right now!" Frien smiled slightly "Hahaha, you know me, when i first came here i wasn't that bad. Its just those d*mn marines they are so persistent. Just chasing me all the time, its so troublesome. Anyways i got a favor to ask of you!"
The old shipwright looked at him like he was crazy "Me? Help you? After all i've already done for you, are you freaking mad? Its troublesome being connected with pirates you know. Don't you remember the story of Tom the Shipwright?" Frien laughed again at the old man. Patting him on the shoulder he said "I know you secretly like it . . . anyways I need you to do this one last favor for me, and in exchange I'm going to get rid of those Kurosaki Lumberjacks. Anyways if you'll give me a piece of paper." The old shipwright grumbled slightly grabbing a piece of paper and pencil.
Frien quickly grabbed it and began sketching on the piece of paper. An image began to appear, looking very similar to an eagle, on a stand. "This, is the figurehead of that ship i've been creating, its too be made of bronze with a gold finishing. All the stuff is in my holding bay near the actual ship. Also the masts need to be placed on. I think i'm planning a quick escape, with these marines i won't be able to stay longer so we'll have to make a quick mistake. Anyways thanks man, I know you'll do it. Cause you know, all of us hate those d*mn Kurosaki Lumberjacks. Think of this as payment for your efforts."
The old shipwright's face softened slightly as Frien made to leave. "Now then wait up, i've got something for you. I don't think you'll be able to get anywhere with that group i assume you are pulling in with you. They haven't been here long enough for a log pose to be set. So if you'll wait half a second . . ." He now shuffled through a drawer pulling out a small object. "This i've been saving for a while, its an Eternal Pose, it will lead you right to another island. No need for a log pose. I'll let you borrow this, but you had better give it back." Frien's smile rose to a full grin giving the man a (no-homo) hug, he bowed quickly and said "Thanks a lot man!!!". Pulling out of the hug he now held a determined face. It was time to bring down the Kurosaki Lumberjacks, hopefully those people who were going to help him would head in the right direction. Jumping into the trees he started off. His tail now came into full use as he sped through the trees heading towards the center of the island.
This time they were definitely going down, he thought back to his first experience with them. He had gone out to fight them, alone though, he had fought well he thought, but their numbers were too much, and some of their stronger fighters were definitely on his level. But now he had a determination he had not had before. He was doing this for his friend, for his future, for the island. As he neared the edge of the old forest he slowed down slightly. Morphing into full monkey form he moved slower now, keeping an eye out for movement, for humans, for his enemy. Moving quietly his eyes slowly moved from left to right scanning the area for enemies. It was quiet, maybe they weren't here . . .
BANG
Frien felt something brush along his hair, he had been spotted!
