“Turning in a no name kid.”
This statement made by the woman puzzled Jake. Is she a marine or something, or what did he do? Maybe she somehow knows that he is a pirate, which could be the real reason for why she is here. She could be a marine after all looking to turn in pirates to move up the ranks, or a bounty hunter looking to hunt no name pirates because she thinks it would be easier for making money. Of course trying to hunt him is an enormous mistake because even though he is a no name pirate he is still strong. Jake feels threaten once he sees that she has placed her hand on the hilt of one of the swords that she is caring. Just because of this gesture Jake turns his guard on and prepares to fight if the road leads to that way.
“Words don’t describe my… hatred… The only reason I’m traveling is for the sake of my goal, and it’s because a very, very innocent woman was killed by a man.”
The message behind the words is cleared for Jake. By her saying this she answers his question about what she thinks of people who kill the innocent. It’s obvious that she despises those who take advantage on the innocent and of those who kill them. This trait is something that Jake admires from every person, especially of those who he considers in making his friend. As he gathers his thoughts about her, she names herself and asks if he has seen a man with red eyes that cares three scars over his right eye.
“Who is the man that you seek and what did he do to you?” After asking about this mysterious man, Jake decided to ask one more question. “Will you join my pirate crew?”
After hearing about a pirate crew, the mysterious woman who Jake, Yumeko, and Salem saved started to run away screaming at the top of her lungs.
The armor person named Salem started to say her/his goodbyes even though she/he had already “accepted” to be part of the crew. Jake turn around and asked Salem why he/she is leaving. Salem responded by saying that after she/he thought about it, being a pirate is not something he/she wants for her/his future.
