Levering himself to his feet he groaned slightly as malnourishment kept his stomach feeling light and ready to spew anything that he’d eaten in the past few days, an impressive fact since he had only drunk Tequila after landing up Roguetown. With an absent minded wave he maneuvered himself shakily towards the side railing of the ship; his chagrin was only thinly masked by the flaring head of red that had already taken a navy dinghy on her way towards the Los Anicetos. Sweat tempered the blotchy complexion he sported, but his gaze did not settle as a serious and commanding expression regarded Thor’s leg before moving to Bella’s face, “I need you to do something fer me…and this time no argument’s got it?” he asked in the usually abrasive tone of voice though he was certain the pleading that he had not wanted apparent existed in the tautness of his stance.
Jack Dancer was not man who grew tense under combat situations, but here, on this sea he could very well die and the cannonballs that came whistling through the air once again were a testament to that truth. His mouth open as labored breaths were pressed from his lungs, he reminded himself that he had no time as that eagle eyed gaze stared across the few leagues separating him from what was rightfully his; those navy bitches wouldn’t take it from him if his life was the fee,
“I want you to take this weirdo back to that ship and if you could find make sure you tell Xun to be on standby…” he instructed harshly as the silvery sonar image of Syphalia at sea level began to fray at the edges, a sign of her fading from his range, “Momo…babe, you gotta make sure she gets on that ship and if that bastard Xun is on there tell him to fly over to the Los Anicetos as soon as possible” he said dryly as a slight wince of his eye told of the fatigue that he fought against. If he lived through this there was no doubt he’d eat every last morsel of the exotic food his strange fishman comrade cooked in the galley, but now was time for the proud brigand to do what he did best. Although he didn’t care what any of them thought of him now, he knew that there was something sitting heavily on his chest, a debt that had to be paid…and it didn’t sit right with him. Hands clenched into quivering fist as the black steel rain sent towering pillars of sea waters rising high into the heavens before them before landing in uneven sprays on top of them. It was in this momentary shower that the words that he’d surprisingly been dreading fell from his lips, “It ain’t like I care or anything…” he started to say as the shaggy brown locks plastered themselves to his forehead.
His eyes closed and his throat was dry, it shouldn’t be this hard! “…but I ditched you guys on that island with no intention of comin’ back” All this time he had his back to the small congregation comprised of two women and an injured man, but now he half turned so that they could stare into his emboldened hazel eyes as a familiar passion burned themselves into his pupil, no, into his very being a dazzling desire pulsed the air surrounding him as he straightened his back and met their disapproval with the defiant demeanor of a true gangster,
“…I always pay my debts and from here on out, I’ll watch my back…as long as none of you mofos try to stab me in mine, got it?” he finished his extended monologue a bit longer than he’d intended for it to go. In fact once the cheesy line fell from his lips he reddened at the cheeks as the wind raised his shirt, but there was no time…for that he was glad. Flashing a winsome smile he threw his legs over the steel framing with reckless abandon as even more towers of sea water rose up past him, one nearly blasting him back into the sky had he not barely twisted his body midair. None of these things broke the void of his mind as he finally managed to make contact on the hollow hull of the San Fortuna with his eyes aligned to where the small boat that had Spyh upon it was tossed from one side to another by the resulting impacts of the cannonballs on the sea.
Metal concaved beneath his feet and the thudding noise and the rush of wind pressing itself into his arrowed form told him that his Devil Fruit was still active and he found himself barely skimming across the surface of the water. Gangly legs used what momentum remained from the burst of sound that he’d managed to catch to ‘run’ upon the almost rubbery tense surface of the blue green sea. Truly a feeling of the gods, but the young ruffian had no care for such musings as he finally leaped into the air and landed a bit roughly into the minor boat which housed the red head he’d been looking for…a fair dash from the hull to the boat, but he’d managed to make.
As the tiny vessel still rocked from its new occupant’s rather ill planned landing, the brash youth gave a toothy smile to the young woman who had made him more irate than any other damsel had managed to make…did it help that she was probably little more than a toddler; not even a full fledged woman and she could manage the feat, “Yo, I see you’re still as flat chested as ever, you shitty little Firefly” he commented simply , but his eyes focused upon the upcoming ship which housed those who kept the pirate crew’s boat from them…
The end was coming and the last ones standing would be the Dancing Blade pirates!
(OOC: Hey, Memo, I believe you are on the same boat as Syph and myself, that was what the second half of my boat was about Flame. If you are not go ahead and keep heading towards the Los Anicetos…Bella, Momo, Tomas, and Xun head back to the Lantern Shark so we can all have a boat to head towards the final battle…everyone just one last drive and we get our boat back…we’re gonna do a united trouncing of Lelani Pheiffer so let’s just do that…keep it up!)
