(OOC: No problemo!)
As Renoir darted out of the shadows, Yuri's acute sense of hearing picked up the noises he made. Even the enigmatic cook couldn't avoid making a sound as he moved, more daintily than a fairy, to the other side of the corridor. The presence of another staff member skulking the palace snapped Yuri out of his dazed trance, and incited him to ask a few questions.
'What do you think you're doing?' he hissed, angry with the cook. He wasn't sure why yet; Yuri hadn't seen the dwarfed frame of Bay being ejected into the Queen's quarters. However, the 'Sniffer Dog' could smell a rat, and right now the stench was stifling. Growing impatient, Yuri decided to throttle Renoir verbally with questions.
'Why are you up this late? Cooks don't stay for the scenery!' came another question. Although Yuri didn't spend much time in the palace, he still knew the ins and outs of the place. Being a guard, it was his job to know.
As if he forgot that he asked questions in the first place, Yuri strode off again, intent on tracking Bay down. Frustrated as he had no idea where to turn next, he said one last thing to Renoir before he set off.
'There's been an intruder, and I know you're up to something Renoir...just come back alive tomorrow so I can kick the crap outta you...'~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Wha?' uttered Renoir, unfazed by Yuri's angry tirade. Putting on the visage of a cook not in the know, Renoir said;
'I have no idea what you're talking about, Yuri.' He shrugged. Even though the two were on a name-to-name basis, Yuri didn't know Renoir all that well and as such he was confident that his faked innocence would work. Yuri was pretty influencial in the palace, and as much as he liked Bay, Renoir didn't think the green-haired scamp was worth losing his income over.
Trying to force the conversation away from the door that lead to the Queen's bedroom, Renoir gestured towards the other flight of stairs.
'Maybe whatever you're looking for is that way?' he said with a slightly coy intonation to his voice. Yuri ignored him however, instead articulating about threats to beat him up in the morning if it transpired that Renoir had anything to do with it.
Unworried, Renoir went down the flight of stairs and left the palace. If anything, that conversation with Yuri could be his alibi. The cook smirked as he walked out of the gates; Renoir had just realised something.
He already expected Bay to cause havoc.
