The old abandoned castle of Mount Obsidian loomed menacingly over the settlement below it. Countless years of acid rain had eroded the castle, deforming it and somehow making its silhouette appear even more evil than it was. A fierce wind whipped the scarce leaves of the mostly bare trees, moving them with such violence that it would appear as if the wind was summoned by the very evil of the castle itself. It was raining, and the innumerable droplets of water helped to impair the vision of anyone hoping to admire the castle. A crack of lightning flashed, illuminating the castle for a split second, revealing to all onlookers that the castle was not so abandoned after all...
Its glowing blue eyes examined the entrance to the castle. It seemed empty enough, with the only sounds from inside being the drops of rain splashing on the floor, which hadn't been stepped on for years. They had once ran a tour guide of this landmark, but even that business had been chased away, the foreboding castle seeming to have an averse effect to each and every one of the guides and businessmen that sought to commercialise this place. They had all died. No marks on their bodies, no signs of any internal trauma. They had all just died. The only connection had been their association with the castle. Locals had said the castle was cursed, but the marines had suspected a more logical answer. Pirates.
It only had this information because it had tapped into the Den Den Mushi signals being sent from Commander to Commander. It was exceedingly arrogant to think that no one could spy on a conversation like it had done. And now they were out of a job. It hadn't cared of the fates of the men who had given away secret information so carelessly, in fact it couldn't care. The figure inspecting the entrance to the castle of Mount Obsidian was not human. It had no feelings. It could never care, it could never love, it could never hate. This figure, staring with glowing blue eyes into the entrance of the most ominous and malicious places was not intimidated by the huge rumors and legends coating the castle because it could not be intimidated.
And yet, it yearned to feel. It yearned to fear, it yearned to feel pain and it yearned to love. It had come here because it had stolen information from the marines, but it had also come here because its Artificial Intelligence told it to. Its creator, Dr. Gregor Vanko had visited this place before. Maybe coming here would help it to achieve its goal.
Besides, there was also the fact that pirates were suspected of hiding out here. Perhaps if it was the marine's boon, a machine that stopped them from doing any work then it's reward would be that tiny little chip of coding that would enable it to reach its dream. Perhaps.
Ghost pushed open the door of the castle, and stepped into the darkness. Its glowing eyes lit up the way in front of it for a limited distance, but its P.I.A.N.O system would protect it from being ambushed anyway.

It's AI told it that it was alone, but almost instantly after the data flashed in front of its visual system was it contradicted. A shadow was thrown up onto the wall, and disappeared again. Ghost ran the check again.

Again the message flashed up. It took more steps intrepidly, pushing the door behind it closed. Something in here was stopping its systems from operating properly, but Ghost knew one thing for sure.
It was not alone
