Knees stuck the hard floor of the bar but Kane didn't even feel the pain that he knew most have been there. Instead, he straightened up and turned, raising a balled up fist in front of him as he prepared to take this man down. Hard. There was no way he was going to go the least bit easy on him. He listened as Amisi spoke about how the Marine had ruined the night, feeling the same as she did. They had been having a good time and then... Wham! Well, not that he hadn't been glad to have a wanted poster and all but this was just ridiculous. No one had to get hurt and look what had gone and happened.
With a lunge, Amisi crossed the room with her weapon hitting the floor behind her. With a strength that her Captain didn't even know she possessed, she wrestled the shotgun away from the Marine and then quickly evaded his reactions as he attempted to retrieve his weapon. She then called out for her Captain and he was immediately beside the Marine, ready to strike.
Kane had crossed the distance between in a flourish of gold as his body had heated up. He raised a fist that's temperature was literally making the air crackle with the energy and swung forward with all that he was worth into the Marine's jaw, sending him flying the whole distance from where the bar that Love had been tending was to the entrance at the other end. His back struck one of the double doors with a splintering of wood and a sickening thump followed as the man slid down and landed on his rear on the floor. Not only was he knocked out, but a fist sized burn mark now marked the right side of his jaw.
As some in the bar cheered the pirates on and others rushed to the fallen man's aid, Kane seemed to not hear any of it. Instead he turned to his Nakama and tried to look her in the eye. "Are you alright, Amisi? Do you need to see a doctor?" he said with a worried look in an almost overdramatic way that he hadn't intended.
