(Vertigo Pirates) "Whats a blacksmith?"

The two stared at each other, trading Expressions. Although the emotions shared were strikingly different. The Marine who's name she had yet to find out, was glaring daggers at her. The kind of stare that just screamed serious, with maybe a hint of intent of Mortally wounding her. Skelette on the other hand was just looking at him in the same old way, with a smile. And though the smile was a little watered down than her normal grin, she still didn't show any sort of anger in her expression at all. This seemed to agravate the boy even more, causing the two to once again clash weapons. This time Skelette could do something other than blocking, with some elbow room as it were she could swing her all mighty Hammer to good effect. The Marines Cleavers would swipe and clash with her hammer before he moved back to avoid the return swings of Skelette. The two kept this dance going for a good long time, often landing impressive blows. Skelette had been cut a few times, but only superficial surface marks. The boy obviously was scuffed up, hit by the hammer on many occasions. The two cleavers really wernt up to the task of blocking a Hammer at least six or seven times heavier than himself swung with such strength.

Like a Referee at a sporting event, the Little Girl known as Rose popped up between the two. It was only then that the girl with the Hammer and strange Fashion sense noticed the state Vertigo was in. Her smile vanished suddenly, the smile dropping like a stone, replaced by a look of Mortal Terror. Quick as a flash she rushed over to Rose and grabbed Vertigo by the head, seemingly forgetting the injured state of Vertigo when she hugged his head tightly. The marine she'd been fighting just seconds ago looked on in bewilderment, standing away with a puzzled look, not acting. Not just because of Rose and her Weapons, but the pain in his limbs from the last Hammer impact. Skelette got up and looked at him, walking forwards to bow for a brief moment.

"Sorry Sir.... But i have to go take care of my friend here. Rain check?". And with that she turned and ran off with Rose, leaving the Blonde Meat cleaver wielding Marine standing there, looking blankly at the girl walking away.

Many people had minded their own busniess or gone into hiding. As the two ran away, a large crowd of marines could be seen around the docks. None of them were quite sure which shipped belong to the Vertigo Pirates. Their job was to wait here until the crew returned. They would have to eventually, and at that point they'd be caught. The white-haired bounty hunter turned to them and said, "follow me." He lead them toward an inn. "It would be best if they were to rest for the night and lick their wounds," he thought. Fortunately, they had taken out a huge chunk fo the marines. A dent in their forces was sure to put some fear in them.

Blood could be seen slowly dripping out of his mouth. Occasionally, Vertigo would mumble Skelette's name. The moon's light slowly began to fill the sky as the dark of night spread over the island. The weather grew chilly. Vertigo's body smelled of sweat and dried blood. The inn was small and comfortable. The owner was blacksmith as well in a side business. Seeing the injured captain, he did not charge as much as usual.

Rose was glad to be relieved of vertigos weight as they hurried toward the Inn Rose just plopped down on a bed quietly after an extremly long day and a weird turn of events that took place as if it were an blink of a eye. Rose checked her bag and noticed she was running low on gunpowder but was way too tired to even try to move quite yet. So Rose just layed there trieing her hardest not to drift off to sleep but too late she slept quitely like a princess. Rose awoke twenty minutes later and decided to go down and get some gunpowder from the blacksmith fellow downstairs. Slowly descending from just having a mild black out she walked step after step listening for any sign of marines if any decided to track them down foolishly . Rose made it down and found the bag of gunpowder the man had. Rose snatched up the whole bag and gave the man 150 beli for it quite a pretty penny for a bag of gunpowder rose thought silently to herself as she made her way up the stairs slowly toting the extremely heavy bag of gunpowder trying to think of a new ammunition to create .

It had been an eventful day to say the least, she'd gotten to stuff herself silly with food, met some new people and shown a few of them up in the process. And to top it all off, she'd gotten to smash some Marines around for fun. Bonus. But yet despite having a day that for the most part was in her books good, she didn't feel as happy as she should have. The Marines were still out their, no doubt looking for them under every single rock and alley, if they found them she assumed they wouldn't just go away and let them rest. As Skelette sat there looking out of the window she sighed, half expecting the Marines to burst in through that very window at any given moment. Typically she'd welcome the prospect of smacking around more Government grunts, but things were different now. She turned, or swivelled on her chair to face the reason. Her captain.

He really did look terrible, which in her mind was both a joke and a serious comment. His clothes were a mess, riddled with marks from battle and the stains of dried blood. His or someone else's, it didn't much matter. Skelette had pretty much stayed with her hopeless Captain since they had arrived at the Inn, leaving only to change into a fresh set of clothes. Strange how she found clothes in her exact size laying in the room opposite, almost as if they had been left there for her. With Vertigo obviously hurt she couldn't leave, just in case. So she found herself in the role of a Nurse of sorts, but knowing practically nothing about medicine in any way, could only wipe his face clean of sweat and blood. She knew not why he was mumbling her name, she assumed he was dreaming. She made a mental note to ask about that later on and not to hurt him after getting an answer.

Sitting across from him she stared at him for a while, hoping for him to awake in that time. But really she just found it hard to look away. In his own way he was a little annoying, sometimes demanding and not as much fun as she'd liked, but still she couldn't help but smile when he moved around on the bed. She'd walk over now and again to clean his face, but couldn't venture too close, the smell of sweat was a trifle off-putting. So she sat back down and played with a nail she'd found on the window frame, flicking it around on the frame like a kind of ball with her fingers.

Time had passed by. Vertigo laid there in the bed peacefully. From time to time he would move around or turn from side to side. Eventually, he openned his eyes. Everything seemed blurry at first. He could not make anything out. He noticed an orange and black blob in his line of vision. "Ugh... An angel?" he said tiredly and confused. He finally sat up. Vertigo widenned his eyes. Skelette was there. He blushed at his earlier remark. Curiously, he looked around for the rest of his crew. He was confused as to where he was. It seemed like a regular room. Bright sunlight shone trough the window. It had seemed to give Skelette an almost holy glow in his eyes.

He shook his head quickly. Vertigo beganto rub his forehead and groan. "Err... What happened?" He was confused. What had happenned to the bounty hunter he had fought earlier? What had happenned to the rest of the marines? Where was he? So many questions ran through his mind. He tried to get up, but felt dizzy and fell back onto the bed. He groaned loudly. "Headacheeeeeee!" He said in distress with his hand on his face. The bed was still stained from blood and sweat of the past days.

Rose was barely awake as she went into her room and threw the gunpowder down on the bed awaiting for her eyes just to shut already but they wont she has to stay awake that is exactly what she gets for eating so much today. A sound to her left brought the Hammer Wielding Fashion victim around from her day dream, a dream filled with things that could only bring her to smile suggestively at. The sound was from her Groggy looking, sweat smelling fool of a Captain, only just waking up. Like a bat out of hell the young woman rushed over to him quickly, the chair she sat on breathing a sigh of relief. But alas before she could envelop his recovering person in the grip of a hug she stopped. He had his hand over his head, seemingly distressed from a headache. For a moment she backed off, but it was clear her "Hugging Reflex" was just waiting to burst on through, visible restraining herself. For the moment anyway. It was just too hard to hold it at bay though, finally letting out a happy squeak before lunging at the poor man, once more his head vanished under the hug around his head.

After a moment she suddenly let go, figuring that a hug to his head was probably going to make the pain in his skull worse, if it hadn't already. With a smile she relaxed and sat on the side of the bed, hands on top of her thighs. He had asked a question before her Hugging reflex had kicked in, she thought for a moment trying to remember. To be honest in all the excitement and worrying over her beloved Captain she hadn't been paying too much attention to things. She hated to admit it, but she was perhaps the worst person to ask about it. Defeated she shrugged, but still smiled in the same goofy way.

"Not a clue, i lost track of everything". Reaching over she picked up a glass, a drink. Or at least it was supposed to be one. It was green though, the liquid in the glass. The smell was similar to rotting flesh and it even looked deadly to ingest. But Skelette held it in front of Vertigo, expectingly. "Drink up, its a home made medicne, you'll feel better in no time at all".

Vertigo stared at the green gunk Skelette offerred him. He resisted at first. She insisted however. After a little bit of a scuffle and fight, Skelette finally shoved the drink down his throat. Vertigo gagged. He wanted to throw up, but Skelette stood there with an angry look stating that if he threw it up, she'd make him drink more of it. He swallowed down the drink and groaned. It had a syrup-like feel to it and it tasted very very bitter. When he finally got it down, he quickly drank a glass of water to get rid of the taste which filled his mouth.

Smelling his own odor, Vertigo went to the shower to wash off. He left his sweat and blood stained clothes on the ground outside of the bathroom. It did not bother him, there were more outfits for him on the ship to wear. The water felt temperate and refreshing. It was just what he needed. He got out and wrapped a towel around himself, making sure to be as dry as can be. Walking, up to Skelette, he asked, "where can I find a change of clothes? Where's Rose?" He looked back out the window. The sun still shone brightly as it had when he last rememberred. "I think its time we begin our great escape from this island guys." He had a very assuring look on his face.

She searched from door to door and then found it. She blew the door to pieces with one shot and said "Mind if i come in?" Rose said smiling looking at her freinds.

She awaited for her Captain to finish "Freshening Up", something which normally would be associated with people of her Gender. She could hear the shower working and with seemingly no worry of modesty what so ever, Vertigo had left the door slightly ajar. Though it was quite possible, maybe a little tempting, she resisted the urge to poke her head around the corner and take a peek. Instead she kept herself busy. With some free time she sat cross legged on the bed, her hammer placed across her thighs. It seemed the Weight was maybe too much for the poor old mattress to take, let alone the bed itself. She swore she could feel the floor where her rear end was touching the mattress. Out from seemingly nowhere came a small tub, the lid now popped off with the flick of her finger. She made a slight uneasy face when she dipped two fingers inside the tub to collect a small amount of polish, it felt slimy and cold. Not pleasant.

Now happily applying polish to her Hammer's entire surface with her hand, she started to whistle. A new habit she'd just picked up. And though she didn't know where and when, it didn't seem to bother her. When Vertigo came back out, not wrapped in a towel covering the interesting regions of his body, she suddenly cursed her work. The surface was so shiny that now she could see him behind her in her weapons reflective surface. She held back a surprised yelp, instead just freezing up suddenly. His question gave her a chance to recover though.

"Clothes are in there" she said, pointing at the wardrobe nearby, not even looking as she did so. Obvious as it was. "Rose is down the hall i th...". A noise at the door answered the second question for her. She wondered what the situation would look like to Rose, making her smile a little bit to herself. Although she found it a little surprising when Rose blew the door to bits instead of just pushing it open. "Not at all, join the party!" she said with a mischievous little grin and a wink.

Rose had burst into the room. It was a shock to all, but Vertigo just smiled and waved, before going toward the wardrobe to grab some clothes. There was a bit of a ruckus, but after finally getting dressed, it had died down. He called Skelette and Rose to the window that they had been looking through earlier. The docks were in full view from there... and so were marines.

"Alright ladies! Here's the plan! We are going to use the spare clothes in the wardrobe to make disguises. From there, we shall sneak past the marines and onto our ship to set sail. Short and simple. Any questions?" He looked at the two with a smirk.

Opening the wardrobe, he found some black shirts and ripped them up almost instantly into fake facial hair. He put a hat on his head and a fake beard. "Tada! There's a reason I'm considered an artist!" he said at the two with a wink. He put the rest of clothes on the ground for them to pick out. Outside, a slight breeze could be felt. It felt refreshing from their window. "Perhaps a wind of new beginnings?" he thought.

Rose looked at Vertigo quizzically for a moment as he quickly explained in a manner that we would have to disguise ourselves to hop aboard our ship and make it away safely.. "Vertigo personally i could take every marine from here and tada! thats why im a sharpshooter" Rose said smiling at him with a devious look on her face but she supposed that he wanted to start things off nice and easy and make it away cleanly without anymore marines being blown away but Rose figured that the life of a pirate is never easy and something will always go wrong just because you simply have a bounty on your head.

Rose peered at the ripped up stuff on the bed and sort of figured a little more black to her outfit wouldn't hurt too badly. She tried to think of what she could make of it and figured that a big black scarf could do a decent job of hiding her and her guns on her back . Rose grabbed some of the ripped up pieces and made it into something that of like a robe that draped her whole body from head to toe now she was dressed in all black perfect disguise..

On his beckon Skelette rushed to his side, looking out of the window with a little more enthusiasm that needed. Probably. Her nose was pressed up against the glass, the tip of her nose pushed down not up, avoiding the classic pig look in such situations. She watched as the people outside went about their Daily business, more so the group of Marines standing in a, well, group nearby. As Vertigo moved away, followed by Rose, Skelette stayed at the window. But when she turned around, a child was copying her movements on the other side of the window. She looked surprised, the child copied the expression. With a slight excitable squeak she understood what was going, on. The game was Afoot!. She started making silly faces, so the child copied the faces, making both of them laugh loudly. When a Marine looked her way she quickly dropped down, hiding just under the window.

Making her way over, she shuddered at Vertigo's "Disguise", it made her spine tingle, but not in a good pleasurable way. The talk of disguises had peaked her interest, looking at the pieces Carefully. It was strange, but with these pieces of clothing, she could make a second copy of her own attire, just coloured differently. Smiling she reached down and picked up what she needed, quickly fashioning a new attire. Although in her excitement forgot to hide herself whilst changing. Modesty seemingly "Lost in the Shuffle". turning around oblivious to her accidental actions, she nodded obviously, making a silly salute with one hand. Her attire was not the same though, but a very simple affair. A Black shirt that stopped just at her mid section, leaving her bellybutton exposed to the elements. Her lower body was clothed in a Pair of black pants, the only splash of colour in the outfit was white, the belt on her hips. Most of her attire though was still the same. The Skulls on her wrists were still there.

"Ready to head out Captain!"

As Rose asked about why not just attack them head on, he responded by showing off his wounds. He finished his disguise and then openned the door. "Alright! Let's do this!" The three walked together calmly toward the docks. The breeze felt good. They reached a gate, outside were two marines. One seemed large and fat, and the other seemed short and skinny. The skinny was slightly taller than Rose. "Halt! What reason do you have to pass?" inquired the large one. Vertigo responded, we are trying to catch the ferry at the end.

Before the man could ask for some sort of pass or identification, Vertigo pulled a pen out of his pocket. He hid it behind his back where it could not be seen. Quietly, Vertigo spun the pen and a random person, it curved through the air into a different direction than normally. The pen flew straight into a man's arm. "Ahh! He yelled!" The man stared at the guy next to him and proceeded to punch him in the face. Before they knew it, there was a fight right by the docks. The two marines ran to break it up. Vertigo opened the gate and they entered the docks.

As they entered the docks in a hurry rose stifled her laughter rushing throgh the gate attempting to get to their ship maybe vertigo's plan would work after all that work. Rose was walking and then a rush of thoughts just suddenly hit her as she looked down at her gown. She decided that she could probably use a little wardrobe change to make herself look more presentable or she could pick up a newtrade herself and learn how to make clothes that fit weel and are more suited for special enviroments and suited for a sharpshooter such as herself Rose couldnt be weighed down by heavy trodden clothes because her primary goal was to shoot any and everything that poses a threat so versatileness would probably be key in that factor but she probably should also have very durable clothing if she were ever to be hit Rose wouldnt take so much damage and her outfit would not be ruined completely. Rose was also focused on her surrondings trying to scan the area just in case she had to shoot a few marines and they had to make a break for it toward their ship, Rose sighed as they continued there steady pace.
