A bumpy start (flamewolfis and vincent here)

Jack could sense that Chisio as he had called himself was the type of bloodthirsty man to attempt to finish off their opponent the moment a sign of weakness was shown. As the wild swordsman gave him an awkward compliment to his ability, he cringed underneath the cloth as he felt a wave of pain crash through his body; it seemed the Hachigairuten’s restrictive effects had worn off. Hearing the soft thud against the wall as Chisio leaped towards him Jack counteracted with the same speed and decisiveness by leaping up onto the ceiling. Below the swordsman executed a series of slashes that would have easily ripped the young man’s guts out,
“Looks like ya missed partner” he called down to his opponent confidently as he pushed off the ceiling in order to propel himself towards the unprepared opponent below. Paying no attention his advantageous position Jack unsheathed the katana once more and began rotating as he plummeted down towards the “Blood Mist”,

“Ittoryu: Takeoni!” he roared as he bore into the ground with such force that the entire house that they had been fighting crashed down leaving rubble where the two men had been clashing only moments before.

As the house crumbled around him, Chisio looked at Jack with such a quiet intensity, wood panels and beams falling to the ground. He glared through the cacaphony of debris, barely able to make out Jack's figure. When the collapse of the building became more violent, he looked up at the caving in ceiling and slashed violently. Chips of wood flew around him as he cut open the building above, creating a hole through which he would not be harmed.

Dust was everywhere, obscuring Chisio's view of the area. As rain poured down upon him, it washed him clean of the blood on his blade and body. If there were any survivors from his rampage before in the house, Jack's actions were sure to have eliminated them. Chisio shuddered once more, licking his lips. "Hide and seek, is it?" He trudged through the rubble carelessly. "Does this make me it? Oh you have no idea how much I love this game." Glancing around, Chisio flourished his weapon several times, making a distinct whistling noise in the air to draw out his prey. "I remember I used to play hide and seek with this one girl. Her name was Mimilia." The whistling became more intense as he flourished the sword faster. "I remember one time when she hid in her wine cellar, behind a couple of the shelves. She was excelelnt at the game and it was so tricky to find her." At this point, the whistling had become a blaring whine. "She was really dissappointed when I did find her. I suppose she wouldn't have been so sad if I didn't tell her I was going to cut her up."

Jack burst out from underneath a clump of wood that had fallen upon him with a mighty swing of his arm. He came up breathing heavily and the cloth that covered his face was stained with spots of blood that dripped from his forehead, but he quickly located the source of the cackling voice; Chisio, the blood swordsman. The rain fell upon them brutally stinging some of the young man’s exposed wounds, but he didn’t waver as he climbed over the soaked wood towards his opponent,

“Yo…” he said as he clutched the hilt of his katana in his right hand and holding its sheath in his left hand,

“…no more runnin’ away coward…” he muttered underneath the roaring of the wind and rain, but he knew that his words would pierce through the other man’s pride causing them to easily be heard. As he remained standing stoically in the rain his body protested against his continuing the fight, but for the first time since he had first chosen the life a ruffian Jack felt the excitement of doing battle with a bounty head of this caliber. Trembling from both the cold and the excitement the boy grinned widely beneath the cloth causing the thin, white covering to rip around the mouth area. For the first time since the incident in the town square, Jack’s mouth was out in the open. His teeth flashed in the dark as he continued his march towards the man before him; he licked his lips anticipating a satisfying end to this duel.

The moment he heard a voice, Chisio practically flew across the site towards Jack. The whistling of his sword ceased completely once he set his sights on his target. "Chi-shi-shi-shi... who's running away?" His voice was different this time, filled with horrible fury, excitement, and violence. The rain stung his face as he charged at top speed, closing in on Jack. "You should have picked your battles better and let me have my fun! Though I can't say you wouldn't have been involved anyway!" The moment he reached 10 feet within Jack's presence, he seemed to vanish.

Running past Jack, he stopped behind him and leaped towards him from his flank. "Ultimate Technique: A Rose's Name on a Deathbed!" It was a quick, powerful diagonal slice, one Chisio had always used on other swordsmen before they died. At such close range and high speed, the attack was near impossible to avoid, and he always attacked from behind the target so it would be near impossible to block.

Laughing maniacally as he began his finishing move, Chisio taunted at Jack once more. "Chi-shi-shi-shi! You were good... but you weren't great, and nowhere near my level! DIE YOU BASTARD!" He launched his attack, landing slightly ahead of Jack.

Jack blinked in surprise as the man’s blade flashed momentarily in front of him before disappearing, just afterwards Jack felt his chest splitting under the duress of the sharpness of the weapon he had seen flash before him.

“Tch…I’m always getting’ you jerks that got weird step techniques…” he mumbled as he clutched his muscled chest with his free hand. The blood stained his clothes a deep red and the liquid soaked his hands, but still the young man felt alight with excitement as he glared towards the man,

“That attack was pretty familiar though, partner…” he said with his mouth revealed for the first time since his cloth had fallen away. His lips felt the wetness of the rain as it curled in a smile,

“…lemme show ya what I mean!” he finished as he clutched the sheath in his left as he ran towards the blood mist swordsman before unleashing his blade in a silvery arch of light; it was his first and most basic technique,

“Ittoryu: Shunsin Giri”

It combined his incredible strength with the blinding speed of a swordsman, thus creating a vacuum that sucked his enemy in towards the attack making it would impossible to dodge under normal circumstances; especially not with the terrible footing in the rain. Looks like this fight is just gonna come down to who can dish out more damage than the other… noted as he his blade attack cut through the image of his opponent. He waited to see what kind of damage Chisio would suffer from the attack.

Originally, Chisio was going to jump away after his death strike attempt. If in the off chance it had failed, he would be left open to attack and wouldn't have the energy to defend himself nearly as well. However, as he left the surface of the rubble, he felt a small tug, pulling him back towards Jack. He looked behind him and saw Jack in the middle of a slice. He panicked, there was no way for him to dodge if he was in the middle of the air, and he couldn't guard his flank very well from an attack like that. What an ironic retaliation.

Chisio attempted to block anyway. He had sustained too much damage and fatigue for one fight and couldn't afford to suffer an attack like this. Throwing his blade over his shoulder, the brunt of the attack was blocked for the most part. But Chisio was tired from his last attack and his flaws in technique were beginning to magnify, especially those in his guard. Without the energy to sustain his defense properly, the strength of the attack pushed his grip back a bit and cut into the side of his ribs. He cringed at the sudden pain.

He grabbed Jack's sword as it was stuck in his side, keeping him from taking it out. "Can't do much without this can you?" He laughed to himself grimly, then launched his attack. Keeping his head turned to see what he was doing, he launched several stabs around his own body to take out Jack while his blade was temporarily disabled.

Even as Jack struggled to rip his blade from the man’s grip he felt the sharp pains as several of Chisio’s attacks pierced his flesh. It might be over for me after all… Jack thought dazed as the blood loss began to affect his ability to think coherently. A white haze began to cover the image of the wild swordsman stabbing at him and the dreary weather that surrounded the entire town where the two men fought. Bump-bump…bump-bump…bump-bump , the sound filled Jack’s ears so loudly that it snapped him back into focus as if he was just coming out of a sleep. His body felt heavy and he was hunched over in front of Chisio will blood spilling from his wounds. His right hand was still gripping the hilt of his own katana, but he felt something in his left hand and it wasn’t the sheath,

“The hell…” he muttered as his eyes shifted to view the bloody katana that belonged to his opponent being clutched in his own bloody left hand. Without wasting any time wondering how he had managed to stop the attacks that should have killed him, Jack kicked upwards at Chisio with all his might hoping to send the man flying into the air,

“Kôsuijun!” he said in a hoarse voice.

From his particular position, Chisio was unable to get a good attack in, no matter how hard he tried. At the very least, his opponent wouldn't be able to cause him anymore damage, at least not without his sword. When he looked behind him again, however, there was a sharp pain under his jaw. He felt himself being launched into the air a great distance. The speed of his ascent wasn't what shook him though. With the kick into the air, the blade lodged in his side was brutally ripped out and had created a large gash in his side.

As he tumbled through the air, he grabbed at his fresh wound and yelled. He had never felt this sort of pain before as most people lucky enough to his him only gave him bruises or cuts. This was a full on rip in his torso. Nevertheless, Chisio regained his balance in the air, flipping around so that he was facing Jack once more and he was ready to land. There wasn't much he could do now, in the air he was a sitting duck and the injuries that had been inflicted on his body were beginning to slow him down. He had wanted a challenge, but now he saw that this fight was too even for him to possibly count on winning.

(OOC: I don't know when to end this. Do you think we should drag on since he is a dangerous bounty head?)

Dropping his bloody katana and sucking in large quantities of air, Jack decided that he would attempt to finish this battle with his strongest attack. A chill of excitement and uncertainty as his muscles tensed in thought of the tremendous task that they were about to take on. Before he could convince otherwise the beaten young pirate took off in a sprint towards a broken down wall that was still standing upright in the destroyed rubble. Using the wall as a springboard Jack was launched into the air and within moments he was directly beneath Chisio as the two men floated in midair. By design, Jack knew that the man couldn’t defend himself in his current position, but Jack felt as his muscles burned with fatigue. Wasting no time he wrapped his muscled arms around the swordsman gaunt body,

“AAHHH!!!” he screamed as he angled their heads towards the ground beneath them. As they began to descend Jack spun their bodies at high speed and he could feel as every muscle in his body screamed in pain as he drove the two spiraling towards the ground a high velocity. Moments before they crashed into the earth, Jack let go of Chisio,

"Renge!" and fell to the earth without anyway to soften his landing due to being extremely tired.

Even that monster will die falling head first into the ground at that speed , were his fleeting thoughts as he laid prostrate on the hard dirt ground.

((OOC: Nah. 10 million ain't that strong and I didn't create this character so I can't say I'll be able to improv much longer.))

Chisio raised his sword in preparation for another blade attack. The moment the swords connected, he would shove Jack back and execute him. As Jack approached, his arms became rigid, ready to destroy his opponent. When Jack grabbed him, he froze, uncertain on what was happening. "Wh-What are you doing!?"

As the pair began to fall back to earth, they began to spin, flipping so that their heads would crash into the ground. When Chisio realized, that he would be the one crashing into the ground, he panicked. He struggled violently against Jack's grip but it was too late. The two plumeted to the ground, one concentrating, the other screaming, venting his rage. "YOU SHITTY BASTARD! I'LL KILL YOU! HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME! BASTARD!"

Crashing to the ground head first, Chisio's body froze, his mouth foaming and his eyes rolled back into his head. He stood upright on his head, rigid at first. He whispered "...but I admit, it was beautiful technique..." He flew into a quiet roe, shaking around violently before his body slumpped and toppled to the ground, limp and motionless. His sword was plunged into the ground nearby where it had been dropped.

Jack watched as Chisio slammed into the ground with the force generated from his attack; it seemed that finally the man’s fighting spirit had disappeared and the man slumped lifelessly on the ground. Wincing as he stood up, the young man looked over the bounty head that he had just defeated,

“Che…Blood Mist? Ya weren’t anythin’ to write home about” he muttered as the tattered remains of his cloth mask swayed in the wind. Annoyed at the terrible state of the cloth that had served to hide his injury Jack ripped it away and touched his own face for the first time since the incident. He found that his skin seemed to repaired, but he quickly put it back on as he decided that he would take the man in for the bounty on his head,

“Sorry partner, but it looks like yer the one, who should have let me have my fun”

Clutching the man’s collar in one hand and his sheath in the other Jack walked back to the bar where he presented the body of the “Blood Mist” to the people of the town with a grin on his face,

“This yer murderer?” he asked with a cavalier attitude. As the old man stepped forward to touch the beaten man’s skin Jack unsheathed his katana with some strain and pointed it at the old man’s neck,

]“Turn in his body fer the bounty and I’ll give 3 mill of it…I don’t want a bounty on my head” he explained through gritted teeth; the effort of moving about and speaking was exhausting to him even though the fight itself was over. By making the townspeople turn in the bounty he would eliminate the possibility of the Marines coming directly after him although he knew that Chisio would tell them about Jack. Oh well… he thought listlessly as the villagers walked into the distance with the “Blood Mist” being dragged in tow. He awaited their return with the money.

Chisio found it difficult to see as he came to. He felt himself being dragged along the ground, dirt staining his clothes as his limp body left a trail in the mud. He tried to look up to the side to make out the face of who was dragging him, but he had no strength or energy left after the fight had ended with such a brutal attack. Darkness flooded his blurred view once more as he dozed off once more. By the time he woke up again, he had been taken to the town's marine base.

Sprawled on the stone floor, Chisio struggled to stand up. His legs strained to support him once he had got himself upright. As he made for a nearby door, there was a slight tug on his leg keeping him in place. Behind him was a metal chair bolted to the ground, one he was shackled to. This was an interogation room. Sitting down, Chisio waited for several minutes before a marine entered the room and sat down in a chair on the other side of the room. "What do you want?"

The marine remained quiet, flipping through several papers, one of which was Chisio's wanted poster. "I'm only here to ask for the location of your earlier victims' bodies. Innocent's deserve a proper burial. I'm only surprised you were taken down by a group of civilians." Chisio glared at the marine, but remained silent. The marine leaned foreward in his chair and stared straight back into Chisio's eyes. "So I also want to know... who really defeated you."

Chisio scoffed and looked away with disdain. "You know I don't care about names anymore." He crossed his arms and legs, indicating he wasn't going to talk anymore. "Describe them." Chisio didn't say anything, closing his eyes. The marine sighed and beckoned at the door, calling in two other marines. These marines approached Chisio with their rifles, one of them smacking him in the face. "I said describe them." After another 4 smacks, Chisio gave in.

"Jack Dancer. His head was all covered in bandages. The bastard didn't even show his face and all I could make out was his eye and mouth. He's not a killer, but he's incredibly dangerous. He even collapsed a building without any concern for who was inside. And once I break out of your weak prisons, I'll kill that bastard for humiliating me like this..."

Jack sat against the wall of the bar as the nighttime faded away to the glory of the morning light. His body ached in various places and scabs were he had been wounded made it hard for him to sit comfortably as attempted to recuperate from the ferocious battle from the night before. Dozing off numerous times Jack woke when the sun was high in the sky and he saw the dark silhouettes of the bartenders coupled with the various other men that had gone with him to turn in the bounty head,

“Guh…yo,” he groaned more than saluted the approaching men. As he rose painfully to his feet he noticed that the men all had grim looks upon their faces even though they was a sack of beri in their hands,

“What’s with the ominous looks?” he questioned with narrowed eyes. The bartender stepped forth nervously, gripping the bag tighter as he drew closer to Jack.

“Erm…well. That man, that monster...that KILLER” began the old man as he cleared his throat several time much to Jack’s annoyance,

“He somehow knew your name and he informed the Marines that you were the one that defeated him….” he explained tensely,
Jack sighed and began rubbing his head; it felt weird to touch his face again. It had been hidden for so long he had almost forgotten the feeling of his own skin. Despite the chagrin that seemed to express Jack simply returned their demeanor with an excited smile as held his hand out for the beri. When they handed it to him he shook the bag lightly and immediately noticed that the village men had deducted their pay from the earning already,

“Shrewd bastards” he jokingly said as he patted the bartender on the shoulder,

“I take it ya took yer 30% out already” he observed as he walked into the horizon; his next objective was to attain a ship and quickly get out of his hometown. Hopefully he would meet Memo on the way or else he would be forced to leave without the quirky man,

“My, my. Whatta situation” he exclaimed to the sky as he reared his head back and laughed comfortably as he thought about what his wanted poster would look like.
