Let's make some history together, eh~?
Samantha Stephens
“So, this is their logbook, hm~?” The vision of the vixen widening as she was presented a small and leather-bound journal by a gloves hand, Samantha Stephens couldn't help but feel her lips curl as she took in an item that looked like it had been kicked half way around the world, which on balance was probably to be commended given the distance it had truly travelled.
“Interesting stuff…” Sat in a café as she met with a figure who seemed to be making a noticeable effort to hide his identity through the use of a cap and upturned collar in spite of the comfortable setting, he seemed to look from one side and to the next as the scholarly siren unclasped the item she had been given and was afforded a moment to pore over the writing within it with a look of excitement within her eyes, but all too quickly did she snap the item shut for the time being and produce her own little offering to the party opposite her.
“Excellent work, as always~” Placing a rather well-stuffed envelope upon the table and pushing it just enough to encourage her 'guest' to take it, Samantha was pleased to see that she had bonded enough with her broker that he only seemed to pause for a moment to check that there was money within and do nothing so crass as to count it, and then nodded as he stuffed it inside his coat and waited for the woman to continue.
I can't wait to pick this puzzle apart~? Unfortunately it seeming that the blue eyed belle was a little busy at the moment eyeing up her latest and perhaps not so legally acquired find, she lifted the cup of steaming liquid next to her with a smile and sipped on it as she turned her new prize over in her hand, and as she did so was fighting against the urge to start picking it apart right here and now. So, it seemed her companion would have to speak up first.
"Would that be all, Miss~?"
“Actually, now you mention it, there might be something…” Words rising in an accept that wasn't quite as crisp as her own in fact but seeming to make an effort to seem a little more so than it was for her sake, the long lashes of the flaxen fox seemed to flutter as her 'friend' made enquiries about further business between them simply as a matter of courtesy, but on this occasion it was rather welcome given the dual purpose Miss Stephens was attending while spending her time in Baterilla.
“I'm looking for someone, on this island~?” Not here just for the clue which would take her to her next dig but also acting on behalf of a young belle she had met only recently, but had quickly grown fond of all the same, it seemed to be a shame to waste the expertise of one who was only too knowledgeable of the comings and goings of everyone and all on the island. After all, expertise like that proved invaluable when one was on a hunt, right~?
