Life had been good over the last week; Rakka had met all of his best friends’ sisters… the ones that still lived at home at least. He had settled in with them well and had done a good deal of recovery. He had also found his master after leaving Rey to spend some time with his family to unwind and relax, it was not fair to make his best friend come and train with him on his time off.
Every day Rakka would wake up early, make some breakfast for the family… sometimes with the aide of one of the sisters before setting off through the jungle to arrive at Master Bubbles Karate Dojo. It was here that in a very short time frame Rakka learned the basics of above water fishman Karate and implemented them into his own fighting, to create what he now calls ‘Oil Baron Karate.’ On one of these days he took a walk into the town for lunch and to explore as his master told him to relax… Young Master Hoshiko found a new rival in the leader of M.A.R.I as they had a spar, which ended in a loss for Rakka but inspiration for more.
The day after a giantess arrived becoming a fellow student, something Rakka had never thought would happen. Now he is awaiting his best friend and whichever of the sisters wanted to come. He had left a note this morning asking them to come in the afternoon to witness the fruits of his labours… Or Master Bubbles had told him too.
The sun was starting to leave its high point in the sky and Rakka sat in the courtyard of the dojo with Master Bubbles across from him in a meditative position. He had shed all of his bandages now to show a scarred body where all of his wounds had healed. The young marine looked at peace as he sat there, his eyes closed to the world and letting the rest of his senses flow free.
“Rakka-Fella.” Bubbles spoke, having changed the honorific this morning in recognition of his students growth. “It’s time for me to say you have graduated from my Dojo.” His coarse voice spoke, the dragonfish fishman watched his student, stroking the dangling lure that hung from his chin like a beard. It’s tip had a glow but that was hard to make out in the sunlight and against his white Gi. “I am proud to say that with some more practice you may outshine my ability in a few short years.”
The young marine cracked his signature smile before opening a single eye to look at his master. “Thank you Master Bubbles… You are a very good teacher!” He spoke, falling out of his meditation and bowing his head to the man. “Now I will feel like I cannot let my family down ever again.” He said with that same pride reflecting back to his master.
