*KRAKAPOW!* A great explosion rocked the Stratonovski estate, emanating from the Research and Development department. The precise ground zero was the shared lab of Fleur Ayoki and Palchi Falcone, a pair who had been working on a prototype armour set for one Officer Simon Richshaw. The explosion was the final test of that armour, a rigorous set that were designed to see just how much punishment it could take. The horned fox woman brought her head up from behind protective wall and grinned at the mannequin clad in a wapolmetal padded wetsuit.
“Yeah!” She exclaimed before running over, pulling her black witches hat onto her head as she got close. Fleurs big eyes examined suit and nodded, not a tear, not a scratch… hell it barely had a singe on it from blast and aside from the known weak points being the head and hands everything else seemed to take no damage. “We perfected it Palchi! Look! It’s all in one piece.” The inventor spoke with such pride in her tones.
An older man appeared from behind the same blast shield and chuckled. “Don’t blame me for your success kiddo, this is all you. I just helped with busy work in the weaving.” The rugged grey-haired man noted as he hobbled over with his walking stick, as elegantly as he could whilst using his free hand to remove the protective earmuffs.
A new figure appeared at the back of the lab, a head poking in. “Fleur! I’ve got a new job for you!” He was a man that loved to poke his head on the best inventor in his company. “I hope you didn’t wake Annika up with that explosion by the by. You know what she is like when she doesn’t get her sleep.” Oleg Stratonovski noted as he met Fleur in the centre of her lab, despite being a man of money and power he loved to get involved with the process and treat all of his staff as if they were an extended family.
A black tail swished behind the lab coated woman who stood head and shoulders taller than both men in the room. “I checked with her yesterday Oleg, she went is still out from last night. Apparently, there were some butts causing trouble around the theatre where the Pipsi-man play is meant to premiere today.” The witch explained as she looked to the wreath of papers in her employer’s hand… that must be her next assignment. It had been a while since she had gone out on a field trip for the company.
“Well, that is all good then!” Oleg replied before pushing the papers up towards Fleur with a smile. “This is a big one. The Agoon Family are wanting a ship building at Shivre Mountain in the North Blue. I want you to be the one to do it, you did good work when you helped your aunt.” He spoke with a proud smile on his face, akin to the one that Fleur wore just moments ago.
“North Blue, Eh?” Palchi spoke as he worked to get the suit off of the mannequin. “Ye won’t be able to give this to Simon…” he added, his head looking over to the pair… “I suppose Annika could deliver it, he is her friend.” The man mused quietly.
The foxy woman’s eyes read over the papers and a smirk appeared. “You’re letting me hire a personal assistant?” She asked, a mischievous intonation resonating with her words. She never had a personal assistant before... she had no clue how to hire one… hell what she would do with one. “I don’t even know how to do that.” She joked, her free hand getting mixed in with her flowing raven hair as she scratched the back of her head… there was always a learning curve with Mr Stratonovski’s work, it was why she enjoyed working with him so much.
