Once Eren was out of earshot she shuffled closer to Samuel and Anabella and pointed a tentacle to his chest, moving closer to loom over him. “Typical bounty hunter, you know I’m worth more to the marines than what this pig will pay you.” She said loud enough to be heard from the ship before leaning nice and close to him. Close enough that it looked strangely intimate as she moved into whisper.
“Not much longer, you can stop acting soon…” She whispered before returning down to her original height and slivering her way to the gangplank when a new figure appeared on the ship, casting a shadow in the moonlight over the dock below. He wasn’t much larger than the average man, but he looked to have enough muscles for two men. Raven stopped dead in her tracks with a look of fear that washed over her face for just a moment, that instinctual moment that rocked her to her core and explained why she needed help… he terrified her.
“Raven, sweetie, don’t got calling me a pig… or Cheap. You are my world~.” Captain Scorsais spoke, a booming voice that rattled the very wood everyone was standing on. He was wearing a gold trimmed red coat and a red tricorn hat. “Kevin told me that those fine people are owed a reward for helping you come back?” He asked with a hint of venom in his voice.
The mermaid shivered and looked at him with as much spite in her soul as she could summon in his disgusting presence. “Yeah, give them it you creep, I’m heading to bed.” She moved her way up the gangplank and stopped to slam the rum bottle into his arms before making a move to move past the large man, who barely reacted to her inhuman strength.
“Fine fine.” He spoke and made a gesture to summon the couple to come up on to his ship. “Come one then, wait up here while I go and grab something.” He spoke, not altering his tone before as he watched the mermaid shuffler her way to the door, watching, waiting for her reaction to something. “How does two million each sound?” Scorsais asked as he quickly peered to Samuel, the one who seemed to be the brains of their operation.
From just inside the cabin Raven let out a blood curdling scream.
