Puni Puni no Mi
English Name: Squishy-Squishy Fruit
Classification: Special Paramecia
Owned By: Dayanara S. Savage
Appearance
The Puni Puni no Mi resembles an okra. The skin is white with the characteristic swirls of a Devil Fruit. The stem twists and curls with a single green leaf on the stalk. When bitten into, the flesh of the fruit turns into slime in the mouth, coating the entire mouth with the rancid taste of spoiled milk.
Ability
This Devil Fruit turns its user into a(n) Squishy Human ("Puni Ningen"), granting them the following abilities...
- Latex BodyThe Devil Fruit user gains the ability to transform into an equivalent mass of milky white latex. It’s a liquid substance that is sticky, stretchy, and spongy. While transformed, the Devil Fruit user is invulnerable to most types of attack. The user can melt into a blob of white latex, able to seep through small cracks and other areas that liquids could pass through with ease. The latex is resistant enough when struck to stop any blunt attack and sticky enough to make moving through it difficult at best. If damaged while transformed, the Devil Fruit user can reform their body rather easily.
- Latex ManipulationThe Devil Fruit user is also capable of producing latex and manipulating it so long as it is still attached to their body. The latex congeals and coagulates quickly after detaching from the user, making it very difficult to escape from as it sticks and stretches around. It allows the user to make a variety of traps and structures. The latex that the Devil Fruit user produces is inedible and contains some toxins that are, in fact, antinutritive, which prevents the absorption of nutrients by those that consume it.
Weaknesses
- Kairoseki ("Sea-Prism Stone") debilitates the user by sapping their strength and prevents them from consciously controlling or activating their power.
- Submersion in water renders the Devil Fruit user immobile and causes them to sink, preventing conscious control of their abilities.
- Extreme cold and freezing attacks can harden the latex and make it brittle, crumbling to dust.
