Without a map, compass or any supplies that weren’t beer and basic bar snacks the small house boat that Ryuji had been living on was not a fit state for long voyages. Between sailing and consuming what snacks were aboard the boat the pair that made their travels away the Pirates Market were already struggling. Roland had not had a drop of water since his meal that morning and he knew he did not have a tolerance for booze. That would have been fine if they were only making a short hop journey, an hour or so around the coast of an island to a new mooring. No, these two idiots had to just piss off an entire island full of pirates and run away without a map or compass. This was not fine.
Roland had made it until the late afternoon when he caved and dipped his hand into the icebox and picked up a condensation coated glass bottle of Chadwiser, popped the cap off of it and took a really long slow drink. As he did, he looked back over the south blue sea to see a small fleet of ships waving pirate flags following their exact path. That… was not good, not good at all. If they caught up then it was going to be a real hard fight whilst on this small boat and drunk.
“Ryuji! I have a plan!” He bellowed, the shockwave from his mouth made the water around them ripple and the boat bob in the water for a moment. The Goe Goe No Mi was certainly one hell of a way to get people’s attention. “I need all the rope you have and then to hold on tight!” The young king ordered as he headed to the back of the small boat and downed the rest of his beer. “Guah~” He vocalised.
Before he tied himself to the boat, he held the bottle up to his mouth and let out a colossal belch that was warped into a concussive force by his fruit that then propelled the empty bottle towards the fleet at an amazing speed. With an alien hum that sounded somewhat satisfied of it self the young man started to wrap himself up in ropes and then tie those to anywhere he could on the boat… he needed to be secure.
“Hold on!” Roland called for Ryuji; he was about to enact his plan. The alien humming grew louder in the young king’s throat and he leaned over the back of the boat, getting his mouth close to the water as he could. Then with the most violent lurch a boat of this size has ever seen the fleet that was chasing them became specs on the horizon then vanished with explosively loud shout that caused an explosion of water behind them. “KAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNN!” Roland had bellowed as hard as he could for as long as he could.
After nearly a solid minute of flight just as the boat started to skim over the water again, he shouted once more. “KAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNN!” Another bellow and another increase of height and velocity no house boat should ever need to experience. It had sent them flying so fast that Roland didn’t notice the bar that their ship had collided with. It all happened so fast that the little boat tore into a marble wall of ‘Jaya’s Cocktail Shack and Sandwich joint’, causing it to stop suddenly and launch Roland out of his mass of ropes skidding across the floor in a grand tumble. Luckily at this time of day the there were not that many patrons… to the establishment that now had the rear half of a house boat sticking out of it.
It took a moment for the dust to settle and the young man to make an effort to get to his feet, in all that time people had panicked, screamed and ran away. The lovely bar tender woman who was standing in shell shock watched Roland stand up and automatically uttered. “W-welcome to the Cocktail and Sandwich shack… how can I help?”
“Water please… and the biggest sandwhich you’ve got!” Roland said as he swayed on the spot and sat on one of the still upright stools. “You okay Ryuji?”
