Personnel File
}Personality
Cautious
Nea is rather slow to trust new people. She approaches both people and situations with hesitation and reservation, not wanting to stray too far from relative safety. She’s generally suspicious of everything and everyone, believing that they’re out to get her for one reason or another.
Wild
Acting on impulse more often than not, Nea takes after the animals that she cares for in more ways than one. She can be flighty, enthusiastic and like a bundle of compressed springs. She hates sitting still, and if you look away from her, she’s often disappeared on some adventure.
Affectionate
When Nea likes someone or something, she really likes it and is not afraid to display her affection. She’ll hug and cuddle and be all over whatever is the object of her affections. At least, until she’s had enough or has fallen asleep. Even when she’s not feeling particularly affectionate, she’ll be rather clingy to the people (or more often animals) that she loves.
Loyal
Once Nea trusts someone, she will do anything for that person. They’ve earned her love, loyalty, and life, which she would happily lay down to protect them. She would rather risk herself than let anything happen to those she cares about.
Timid
Around people, Nea finds it hard to speak up. She tends to linger shyly toward the back, uncomfortable with too many eyes on her. She hates being the center of attention or being out on the spot.
--
Appearance
Nea has the dark skin characteristic of Shandian sky islanders with the light platinum blonde hair and large wings characteristic of Birkan sky islanders. She wears a jacket with cloud wolf and cloud fox fur lining the inside. She also wears a dark red jumpsuit and fur lined boots. She keeps a backpack slung around her shoulders most times and the hilt of her sword on her belt for quick access.

}Traits
Oxygen Efficiency
Sky Islander Starting Trait #1
Adapted to high altitudes, Nea’s does more with less. She is not hindered anywhere near as heavily as other races by environments where the air is thin or oxygen is low, and a breath of normal air can last much longer for her than anyone else.
Savage Swiftness
Sky Islander Starting Trait #2
Possessing natural athleticism, Nea can move more quickly than anyone else, though not at blinding speeds. She’s faster and a lot harder to hit while moving around. This does not apply underwater.
Beast Speech
Sky Islander Starting Trait #3
More in touch with animals than humans at times, Nea was born with the innate ability to communicate complex ideas to animals and how to understand those animals in turn as if they were speaking to her. This applies land creatures and birds, but not creatures that live in the Blue Sea and White Seas such as fish.

Fighting Style: Mtindo wa Upanga wa Wingu “Cloud Sword Style”
Rank: 1

--
Equipment
Name: Suneti ”Suneater”
Fighting Style: Miiba ya Nyoka “The Thorns of the Serpent”
Rank: 2
Description:
Suneti is a sword with an Eisen Dial installed as its pommel. The Eisen Dial emits Iron Cloud that acts as the blade of the weapon and can change shape according to its user’s desire. The blade is iron hard and cloud light, allowing even the petite Nea to use it skillfully without worry for its weight. It resembles a tribal short sword.

Background
}Nea was born on Sky Island where, a few decades ago, remnants of the Shandian and Birkan sky islander tribes joined together to form a new tribe. Their two leaders wed and had two daughters and one son, the youngest of which was Nea. She was born with a very special ability to speak with animals. On the Sky Island was a Giant Python that her tribe worshipped as a deity. Their parents often took her to commune with it and spoiled her for her natural abilities. Unfortunately, this led them to sheltering her from the world and spoiling her with everything that she could possibly want, which, in turn, led to her siblings growing to resent the special treatment.
Her siblings were skilled in areas that Nea could never hope to master. They were charismatic and charming and knew so much about the world outside of the shrine that they used as their home. Nea deeply admired their ability to so easily speak with people, be so confident, and fearless. She always felt terribly shy and timid around people that she did not know, tripping over her words. She was intimidated with the reverent way that she was treated by some.
Despite being forbidden to leave the shrine, her siblings taught her how to sneak out to the forest. They’d often play together, but sometimes Nea left on her own for a break from her duties as what amounted to both a princess and a priestess. Soon, it became one of her favorite things to just wander and explore the forest. For one reason or another though, her brother and sister stopped coming with her. That was fine for Nea though. She had made many animal friends to play with!
As fate would have it, their deity gave birth to its own heir when Nea was about eight years old. She stumbled upon it one day when adventuring through the woods. It was a little thing, only about three feet long, but already had an immense amount of pride and dignity. That was, until he fell off the branch that he was coiling around. He got very offended when Nea laughed, but the two became fast friends. He introduced himself as Iryong. Soon, they spent almost every day together, both children of Gods.
One day, Nea took Iryong to see her family. Her parents were delighted that they’d been blessed by their deity, but her siblings’ jealousy finally exploded. Their village had an agreement to provide the snake god Munmu with offerings to avoid its wrath and for it to provide them with protection. Nea’s siblings, Barak and Ayonna, went into town and spread a vicious rumor that Nea was lying to everyone and that Munmu was just a fat old snake taking the free food that was offered to it. To help their case, they stole Nea’s diary and filled its pages with schemes to take food from the village and give to all of her animal friends.
This stirred some dissent within the village, but not enough for Barak, the firstborn son. He went to the cave where Munmu resided and blocked up the entrance with explosives. Nea happened to be out with Iryong that day, and the two of them came running when they heard the commotion. Barak had expected as much though. He snuck up behind Nea while she dug at the rubble furiously and hit her on the back of her head with a heavy stone, knocking her out. Iryong attacked Barak, but the boy slashed the young god with a knife and left both of them on the ground as he fled back to the village.
Munmu’s wrath was incredible. After breaking free of the collapsed cave and discovering Nea and Iryong hurt, Munmu barreled through the forest. The Vearth roiled, ancient trees snapped like twigs, and Munmu had its sights squarely set on the village. It destroyed buildings, tore apart crops, and killed scores of villagers before its rage finally subsided, and it retreated back into the forest. When Nea awoke, she was gently enveloped by a sleeping Munmu. She saw the injured Iryong beside her and rushed back to the shrine to get him medicine.
When she arrived home, Nea was met with fear and anger from her parents. The rest of the village knocked down their door and dragged her out into the street. Unbeknownst to Nea, Barak had told everyone that Nea had called Munmu down on the villagers. Voices in the crowd screamed accusations against her, but Nea was too scared to understand what was going on, much less defend herself. She retreated into herself, ruled by fear.
The next few days were a terrible blur for Nea. She was kept in a cage in the center of the village while warriors went out led by her father to hunt Munmu. When they returned, they paraded Munmu’s body all over the village and made a grand feast and celebration out of it. Jeers, rocks, and bits of food were often hurled her way. She was called horrible things. The celebration went on for days, and, one night Iryong appeared in the cage beside her. He freed her from her bindings, and the two of them tried to slip through the bars to escape, but Barak spotted them and called out to everyone.
Nea was caught again and was about to be killed then and there with Iryong, but her sister screamed for the villagers to stop. They did, but only for a moment. Ayonna used her quick thinking to suggest that they exile Nea and Iryong on a desert cloud. Most of the villagers were in agreement, and soon they’d lined her up at the edge of their sky island. Her legs shook with terror as she faced the village. Barak approached her, and a bit of the old Nea returned. She hoped that her big brother would come to talk to the villagers and defend her. To do what she couldn’t. But as he drew near, his face twisted up with a frightening mix of glee, anger, and grim resolve. Nea only had a moment before he pushed her off the edge with no desert cloud beneath to catch her.
She fell, the wind howling in her ears. Nea thought she might have heard a scream from up above, but she couldn’t tell anymore. She hugged Iryong tightly to her chest as they fell. From up above, she saw a dark shadow diving down toward them, which she recognized as one of her giant South Bird friends. The South Bird caught them gently and circled in the air a few times beneath the clouds. When Nea looked down, she saw a sea of blue that made her wonder if anyone lived down there. She hoped not. When the South Bird asked where she wanted to do, all Nea said was down. She never wanted to go back. She curled into a ball with Iryong and cried herself softly to sleep as their friend took them down to the islands below.
The island that they landed on was deserted, which suited Nea just fine. Together with Iryong, she made friends with all of the animals on the island and lived with them out in the wilderness up until her twenty-first birthday when a ship appeared on the horizon. And with the ship, came people. But this time, Nea was prepared.
