Ruby knew her plan wasn't perfect. She had no real intelligence on Bluebeards crew. For all she knew, he could have tons of reinforcements waiting on his surprisingly huge ship. Or he could have wasted everything he had on the island. The only thing she knew for sure was that riding this water chariot was a huge risk for Cornelius and herself. Not to mention she had no idea how good of a swimmer Zira was with those hooves of hers. If a storm hit, or if something happened to the Angler King....well....all the more reason to find a more appropriate means of transportation.
"Ok....Cornelius." She said, at the moment they were out at sea, several dozen miles out from Aityaia Island, spying on Bluebeards ship which was currently hidden behind some rocky formations jutting up from the sea. It was clever, but it also gave Ruby and her friends the perfect cover once they waited for night to fall again. Ruby's stomach rumbled, as it had been a full day waiting for an opportunity, but she ignored it. She was holding her hands up, forming them into an extremely polished golden tube, with the lens of her glasses inside, adjusting them to form a rudimentary telescope.
"They definitely have a lot of people left....but not as many as on the island." She could see people moving around, busy work and maintaining the ship. But she couldn't see anyone that stuck out to her. Then again it was hard to judge things effectively from this distance.
"So are you two ready?" Bluebeard had planned to come back with Cornelius. Since he didn't return, she assumed no one on the ship was aware of his defeat. But they had his water chariot AND the Angler King! Ruby crouched down, picking up Bluebeards coat that the Sea King had burped out back on the island. "Shining Weave!" She muttered, her bright red hair turning to fine golden fibers. She hunkered down, and spread out her hair, using it to fill the coat, making it appear as if someone was inside it. The head wasn't there, but she hoped that due to the darkness, it would serve to keep the ship from firing on them.....at least until it was too late.
"Remember Cornelius. Act natural! Say Bluebeard was injured, and Zira you play prisoner or something ok? They were expecting him to come back with you Cornelius, so if you can play this right, they might let us come right up to the ship." She snickered, deviously rubbing her hands together. It was a stupid plan for sure, but also brilliant! "As long as we can get on board, then we can go crazy and clobber them! But if they blast us to smithereens before we get close....well....let's just not let that happen ok?"
