Serine City was not Serine... in fact, one could say it was quite the opposite! It was actually a rather crazy place! A place that was full of casinos, theaters, clubs and all sorts of entertainment. It was a city that never slept! A city where one's most carnal desires could be achieved. Or so that's what they said! None of that was really important for Charley. No, he didn't care for such trivial things.
He was in pursuit of other subjects. Ishakat's Castle! A game show televised to the people of the island. It was recorded using the latest Den Den Mushi technology and then displayed live across the island's various monitors for the viewing pleasure of the public and public entertainment was something that drew in good old Charley!
The man was interested in the blunder! So he would join this showing... he was most certainly guaranteed a spot in the show. As a celebrity and all. There was a prize to be had for winning the show. A prize that Charley cared not for... his satisfaction played in participation. That was the true prize!
However, gaining the prize wasn't half bad either, it was an added bonus to it all. What the prize was? He was unsure but he heard it was a special musical piece. Something related to it having some sort of mystical powers. All a boatload of baloney if you asked Charley not that it mattered to him anyway. If he won it he would probably case it in his mansion and have it as an object of admiration something to brag about as you would do.
"Sonja! Jack! Follow me champs! We have a place to go to! I do believe it this way."
The man said to his crew, the makeup/special effects woman and his cameraman who would record much of what he did. Mostly when it came to fighting criminals! But this time around they would record him in the game show. Sure it would be recorded by the local crew but he wanted something more personal? Something of a souvenir to remind himself of this grandiose event. The group of three made their way across the lit-up mean streets of Serine City finally arriving at a theater in the shape of a castle.
Read a big glowing sign on the front as two guardsmen in knightly outfits guarded it. They looked down at Charley and his crew with a menacing glare. Not that Charley minded or rather cared. To him, this was all fun and games.
"State your business!"
One of the guards grunted. Charley reached into his coat pulling out a piece of paper stamped with a goofy smile. The guards looked it overseeing he was one of the participants and allowed him in leading him into his personal room. One with a yellow star marked with the number three on it. Charley walked inside with his crewmates and before he shut the door the guardsman told him.
"Wait here until you're called to stage."
Charley waved goodbye and slammed the door in the large man's face. A stupid smile plastered on his face as he turned to view his crewmen. He moved toward a table with a mirror surrounded by yellow lightbulbs. Sonja his special effects artist approached him and pampered his face with TV-Makeup. He had to look his best indeed when on the big screen!
"Now we wait for the show to begin!"
