Miu - 8
“Oh?” The kitten was momentarily impressed at the climber’s lack of surprise that she could speak the human tongue. People ordinarily would be shocked that a cat could talk, but this one wasn’t daunted by that at all.
The feline snickered as the flaming rib bones which she spat out had punctured into his flesh, burning his arm, and leading to the sweet cries of agony as he fell off the tree and crashed against the earth below.
Ah? Is he dead?
The feline looked down at the motionless body, wondering if the human was fragile enough to have died from a fall of that height.
“Human,” Miu decided to comment on his statements in case he was still conscious. “We are in the wilderness with no civilization. There is no such thing as rights. There are no rules or laws.” To say that she had no right to take the fish might have to stem from the naïve assumption that there was a rule in place that dictated that she could not steal it. But in the wilderness, there were no law enforcers to reinforce such rules – not that it would make her act any differently. Even if they were in a civilized society, she would have taken the fish anyways.
No one was entitled to anything in the wilderness. But of course, the feline certainly acted that all the fish in the world belonged to her. Although it was probably to be expected that a human who grew up in a civilized society would struggle to survive in the wild.
She was intrigued at the strange phenomenon of a strange fogginess to gravitate towards him as the collective moisture in the air itself led to a localized rainfall to extinguish the flame on the boy’s arm. She didn’t know what to make of it. Did mother nature take pity on this human and decided to lend him her caring hand?
As the feline’s attention was solely aimed towards the human down below, she was completely caught off guard as an ambushing rodent suddenly performed a spinning drop kick onto the tuna fish held over her head. It was just enough force to have the tuna slip off her paws before experiencing freefall.
In absolute horror, Miu widened her eyes and dropped her jaw as she saw her precious meal falling away, “EH!?”
What monster could have done this!?
Her gleaming yellow eyes instantly darted towards the small apple-sized rodent, and it was at that moment that Miu recognized that a new challenger has appeared. It was a strange little mouse!
Pressured into a mental corner by the evil mouse, the feline was forced to enter a transformation to ascend beyond her kitten form. With a single pounce towards the fish, her body grew to the size of a bobcat in midair. Her tail grew longer and forked in two.
One tail scooped up the tuna fish as the other aimed to ensnare the mouse.
Landing on the ground on all four, the two-tailed feline leered at the mouse, holding the fish with one of its long tail. “Who are you? To have forced me to enter my Super Kitty state, you are quite the adversary.”
Miu’s Super Kitty form was one stage closer towards her complete Full-Animal Transformation. The size of a bobcat, weighing about twelve kilograms, she gained the unique forked tail that a Nekomata would known to have.
