Syph #1 / Jaq #1
Scritch Scratch
"Hmm .." An ink nib pen clattered into an empty ink flask next to a half-filled one. It's holder tilted back slightly in her seat leaning back and stretching her arms up into the air. Before her a desk sat paper and pen laid out. A pile of papers similar to the one she'd just been working on lay beside the one still drying with fresh ink. That was good enough for now, she'd have to talk to Kitty about it later and double check some of the things that her memory was a bit fuzzy on. But anyways for the time being she pushed back with her feet against the deck causing the chair to 'slide' away. Glancing over to her right. Shel looked out the window towards the darkness that was outside. Pulling one hand back she scratched behind the ear casually.
"Done writing for now Syph?"
Arlen's voice spoke up from where he was sat at the table in their cabin. In the dim lamplight of their cabin he could be seen tinkering with his new toy. The sharpshooter had had the weapon for a while now and still was enjoying just fine tuning his weapon. "For now, I'm almost done with Kitty's part." She said as she stood up looking over now towards the quartermaster. Arlen looked up, "Still?" He asked curiously.
Syph paused and scowled at him, "Why the surprised tone Arlen?" The quartermaster blinked a small twinkle in his eye. "No reason ..." He said with a shrug.
The swordswoman's shoulders relaxed as she took once last glance around their dimly lit cabin. Her eyes paused as they fell upon a glass object that was normally resting upon her wrist. Syphalia paused as she looked at it for a moment, "Hmmm? Is that ..." She blinked a few times before walking towards where the crew's log pose sat behind the pile of papers at her desk.
"Zzzzzzz Zzzzzzzz"
The deep sound of snoring rose from one of the rooms within a specific room of the crew deck where one sleeping sailor dozed away. Laying swinging back and forth in a cloth hammock it was obviously where the source of it was as it dipped deeply at that point with the cloth coming up on either side of the sound's owner where only the tip of his spiky hair was visible above it.
The owner had slept early, apart from training and a few inspections from within the ship he hadn't had much to do in the past day so he'd gone to sleep early. There was not much else for him to do. And tomorrow was a new day, hopefully with something other than just seas on the horizon.
